Thank you to Saks OFF 5TH & ShopStyle Collective for sponsoring this post.
We talk quite a bit at TME about finding those classic closet basics that serve as our wardrobe workhorses. Those high-quality pieces that are worth the splurge, the ones that get worn over and over, the timeless styles that are easy to incorporate into our daily looks, despite the changing trends.
Classic Winter Outfits For Less: Wool-Blend Coats, Luxe Cashmere & Gorgeous Boots
I am often drawn to higher-end designers for these types of classic pieces. I am, however, drawn to finding these higher-end designers pieces at non-designer prices. That’s where Saks OFF 5TH comes in.
Cashmere | Denim | Boots | Hat | Bag
For fall and winter, I turn to classic layering pieces: chic coats, soft and cozy cashmere sweaters, and stylish (yet walkable) boots. Saks OFF 5TH is a veritable treasure trove of the exact pieces (in the neutral color palette) I’m looking for. I’m talking about Aquatalia, Vince, FRAME, EILEEN FISHER, Stuart Weitzman…many of my personal designer favorites can all be found at Saks OFF 5TH. Think Saks Style, but for less.
Right now, Saks OFF 5TH has really good deals (up to 70% off!!!) on classic cold weather basics. I much prefer stocking up now because the neutral colors (black, tan, gray or ivory) sometimes sell out quickly. You can save even more by using the code SHIP99 for free shipping on orders over $99!
In a hurry? The best deals I’ve found at Saks OFF 5TH are:
1. Vince Coats
2. 360 Cashmere Sweaters
3. Stuart Weitzman Boots
4. Loeffler Randall’s Leopard Print Bag (under $100)
One quick note on the leopard print bag: I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Loeffler Randall is rarely found under $100, the shape is perfect (it fits a ton of stuff but still drapes nicely) and is also available in both black or tan leather.

Wool-Blend Coats For Effortless Layering
Saks OFF 5TH has a FANTASTIC selection of designer wool-blend coats in general, but I especially love the drape and relaxed feel of this Vince one. Philly’s fall and winter temperatures are so unpredictable that layering with multiple lighter-weight pieces is often more practical.
Coat | Cashmere | Denim | Boots | Bag
This coat also feels a bit more like a cardigan with its relaxed fit and lighter weight (my kind of coat!), but the wool-blend (especially layered over sweaters) is plenty toasty for me. And especially cute with a warm beanie thrown in the mix. Plus, this coat has a little bit of a swingy shape, a nice cozy feel, looks good dressed up or down, and has a hood.

Yay for cute hoods on pretty coats! (Wearing an XS.)
360 Cashmere For Its Uber-Softness
One of my favorite cashmere brands, 360 Cashmere is also available at Saks OFF 5TH. I love this brand especially for its uber-softness.
Cashmere | Denim | Boots | Bag
They have a ton of classic styles right now as well as some classics with just a touch of “interest”. Love that this one looks like a simple gray cashmere sweater, but has a cool detail on the back hem. Wearing XS.

Gorg Ankle Boots For An Elevated Look
Lastly, the BOOTS. I decided to branch out a bit from my usual clunkier styles and try these gorgeous ankle boots (more than 50% off their original price).
Stuart Weitzman boots are definitely a TME team fav for a reason…they really do wonders for elevating winter looks and making winter basics feel much more polished.

Shop Designer Wool & Wool-Blend Coats On Sale
If anyone is looking for a timeless wool coat, I found several very chic options (in addition to the Vince coat I’m wearing in the above photos).
Shop Cashmere Sweaters On Sale
For good neutral basics, I love all of the cashmere sweaters show below. As I mentioned earlier, however, 360 Cashmere does some pretty unique twists on the basic sweater that are also worth checking out.
Shop Designer Boots On Sale
Lastly, if anyone has been looking for Stuart Weitzman boots, Saks OFF 5TH has SUCH a good selection at major major discounts. I’ve seen several other members of the TME team wearing over-the-knee Stuart Weitzmans on repeat for years! These Jocey Stuart Weitzmans over-the knee boots are almost 60% off, and the over-the-knee Genna Stuart Weitzmans are MORE than 60% off.
Thank you so much to Saks OFF 5TH and ShopStyle Collective for sponsoring this post. I love love love that you provide a way to get my beloved Saks styles and designers for less (including all the go-to winter basics). Thank you also to all our TME readers…your time and support is so appreciated.

Linzi, I am shocked to see you in a heel like that! How was the comfort level? I’m on the hunt for new boots and I can’t seem to get myself to buy anything other than something with a sneaker-style sole.
I know!!! I totally pushed myself to branch out of my comfort zone (literally) on this one for sure! I’ll say…it IS kind of fun to have a more polished-looking chic boot in my rotation that’s not my typical style. It’s amazing what they do to elevate the style of even the most basic clothing…especially with holiday stuff coming up. They are walkable (think date night, a meeting or two, or a party) but my picky feet wouldn’t wear them all-day walking the city for sure. The heel isn’t horribly high which helps and the weight is distributed much better on my feet than a typical heel (thank you Stuart Weitzman high-quality design), but again not a “comfort shoe.” I feel you with the desire to wear only sneaker-style soled boots…post on my similar desire coming soon. 🙂
