I mean, I wasn’t kidding when I said I want all the puffy coats. It seems we all do right now! The brands must be listening though, because they keep making ALL the cute ones. I think puffer coats are especially lovable this year because it feels like you’re still curled up in your comforter when you slip one on. Who wouldn’t want to leave the house in 2020 feeling like you’re still in bed? #noone
Shiny Puffer + Black Wash Jeans = Monochromatic Vibes For Winter
A black outfit is nothing new, but when it includes some really great pieces it just kicks it up a notch. I love how these came together for a really wearable everyday winter look. OK, I did pop in a little pretty aloe green with the help of this favorite sweater of mine, but you could grab your favorite black turtleneck just as easily for a full-on monochromatic aesthetic here.
Cropped puffer in a shiny black, great black jeans, and some seriously cute black winter boots that aren’t too clunky…I think those are the elements that make this outfit a winner for me.
This is just one of those great everyday looks that makes getting dressed easy. And by this time of year, this year especially, easy is what we need.

Monochromatic Vibes: Winter Outfit Details
GAP Shiny Black Puffer (s) This is so rad and warm and comfy. The cuffs become wrist warmers with thumbholes or easily fold into regular cuffs. Love the hood and the cropped length for being not so overwhelming on my 5’4″ self. It comes in a gorgeous olive and a dusty pink, too!
Levi’s 501 Skinny Jeans (28) These have become a real staple. I have a long-standing love for black jeans, and these do not disappoint. If you want a super-fitted look stick true to your regular size, but these are just a little relaxed after breaking in and I love them for 2020.
J.Crew Turtleneck in Supersoft Yarn (xs) We’ve talked about this to death. Haha. But it’s so pretty and the body is super-soft. Size down.
Merrell Alpine Tall Polar Boot (tts, c/o) These are incredible. I’ve never had good pair of waterproof winter boot that didn’t feel huge and clunky. There’s a time and a place for chunky winter boot, but for everyday, for neighborhood walks, and for something I can grab all the time? These. True to size and seriously comfortable. In white here.
