If you give ‘flatform sandals’ a Google, you will find brands like Gucci, Prada and Balenciaga, all whom have a slew of flatform sandals to choose from.
But when I think of flatform sandals, I think of the OG Tevas that have been serving us with all the flatform — or as I like to call it, Colorado Couture — looks for years!
I adore the extra height that flatforms give my 5’2″-self, they are hella comfortable, and they add that extra va-va-voom to an otherwise basic pair of sandals.
Are Flatform Sandals The Same As Platforms?!
Are flatform sandals and platform sandals the same?! The answer is technically no, but in my book, they definitely seem more like twins than sisters. Flatforms are typically a minimum of three inches high and have a thick sole that is flat across the entire bed of the shoe. Platforms most often have two distinct blocks — one under the heel and a slightly lower one under the toe. While there is a slight difference between the two styles, you will notice that brands aren’t sticking to these rules when it comes to naming their shoes, and platform and flatform terms are often used interchangeably. For example, Sorel calls these super cute sandals ‘flatforms’ but they technically fall into the platform category. Needless to say, the two styles are so similar that I will be featuring a mix of both.
What To Wear With Flatform Sandals
Flatform sandals are super versatile and truly go with just about anything. I personally love to pair them with straight-leg jeans, flirty dresses, and short shorts. If you are a fan of ’70s vibes, then pair them with great flare jeans. Basically, the sky’s the limit when it comes to styling flatform sandals!
Whether we call them platform or flatform, these are the BEST sandals of the season!

1. Sorel Cameron Flatform Sandal
Sorel is notorious for making some of the most durable and comfortable sandals, shoes and boots on the market, and the Cameron Flatform seems to fit the bill for being ultra-trendy and comfortable too! I personally love how these feel like an otherwise neutral sandal with a lemon twist.
2. Balenciaga Rise Platform Slide Sandal
Oh Balenciaga, how you love to take all my money…These rise platform slides give me all the ’90s vibes with a slight hint of a ultra-luxe marshmallow. I love how simplistic they are, and they look buttery soft, too.
3. Paloma Barceló High Standards Flatform Sandals
The Paloma Baceló Flatform sandals feature a gorgeous Spanish-made leather. They look effortless and luxe at the same time, and in addition to the beautiful camel color that I picked, they also come in two other color combinations.
4. TEVA Metallic Flatform Universal Sandal
It’s no secret that Teva is one of the most iconic brands and they have mastered the flatform sandal. The metallic flatform sandals are pretty and made from eco-friendly REPREVE® recycled polyester. These are an absolute winner!
5. Ganni Recycled Satin Knotted Flatform Sandals
OMGEEEE I am in love with these Satin Knotted flatforms from GANNI. I recently discovered this brand and everything I have found I love! The satin is made from recycled materials and GANNI is considered a positively conscious brand, which means at least 50% of the main material of this product meets the conscious criteria as shared by Farfetch.
6. Intentionally Blank Rule Breaker Flatform Sandals
My most-worn heeled sandals are from Intentionally Blank. The quality is amazing and they last for years, which is why when I found these ultra-high, citrus-colored flatforms, I knew they deserved a place on the list. The buckets, the studs, and the rigid sole all add to the elements of these fun sandals!
7. Gucci Angelina GG Logo Platform Slide Sandal
I love my Gucci slides, but I am not quite sure whether I love these or not. I will say, the people who I have seen rocking these look great in them, and I love the denim and Gucci logo! The Angelina GG platform slides are a serious nod to the ’90s.
8. Moschino Logo-Strap Flatform Sandals
These Moschino flatforms are ultra-high! The golden yellow and Moschino logo are the perfect match, and these are just so fun!
9. A New Day Women’s Sage Braided Footbed Sandals
Target has come through with a budget-friendly option I love under $30! These are certainly on the shorter end when it comes to flatforms, but the braided straps add an extra element of va va voom.
10. Gucci Women’s Double Strap Platform Sandals
I am in love with these Gucci double strap platform sandals! They give me total dad sneaker vibes (and I love it).
11. Open Edit Avah Flatform Sandal
Open Edit is one of Nordstrom’s newest in-house brands. The brand typically creates trending pieces at an affordable price and the Avah fits the bill for being both trendy and affordable. The square toe, thin straps, and baby blue marbling are fun for summer!
12. Prada Woven Slingback Platform Sandal
A few weeks ago, I asked our IG followers their opinion of these Prada platforms, and the answers were a unanimous ‘no’ (loud and clear). So when I found this, I hesitated to add them to the list of flatforms, but I am in love with these, and I’m tempted to give them a try! I love the puffy, woven pattern, and the black leather is beautiful.
13. Kurt Geiger London Women’s Embellished Demi Wedge Sandals
I bought these beauties at the beginning of the spring season, and they are beyond comfortable! These are the sandals that gave me the idea of Colorado Couture. These are ultra-fancy and the flowers at the toe of the sandal are hand-beaded! They are bougie and totally beautiful, and I’ve been obsessed ever since I bought them!
14. Steve Madden Women’s Kimmie Flatform Espadrille Sandals
I used to own a pair of Steve Madden sandals similar to these, and they were hella comfortable. These are a platform with an espadrille twist and they are on sale right now, too!
15. Everlane Leather Platform Sandal
The Everlane platform sandals are equal parts cute and comfortable, and the platform heel is made from ultra-cushioned EVA. It features adjustable straps for an easy fit, and they are a pair of sandals that will last for seasons to come.
16. Steve Madden Bay Platform Sandal
The Steve Madden Bay Platform gives all the ’90s vibes and they also feel classic at the same time. These are a great pair for a night out with the girls!
17. Arizona Platform Vegan Birkenstock Sandals
Last but certainly not least are the Birkenstock flatforms. Birks are a staple in my wardrobe, and I would love to add an extra pair that gives me a little height boost!
