I never knew I could be so picky about a robe.
But it’s taken me years to find one I truly love. This makes a robe, well… the most difficult item I’ve ever tried to source for my closet. Not the perfect little black dress. Not a pair of shoes that can do it all. Nope, it’s a robe. Go figure.

Eberjey Pajamas & Robe: I Didn’t Know Sleepwear This Good Actually Existed
It has come to my attention that pajamas — and loungewear in general — are the clothing items in my wardrobe for which I have the highest standards. I can find a pair of iconic denim like nobody’s business. I fall in love with a new underwear brand far too often. And I have to restrain myself from buying sweaters on the weekly. It’s about to be SUMMER, Amy, take the sweaters out of your cart.
But when it comes to clothing for sleeping or cozying up on the couch late at night, I have a small little stack that fits easily in its drawer.
The stack is small because whatever makes the cut for my sleep and loungewear has to be ten out of ten, the softest, dreamiest fabric and designed to quite honestly improve your life. (I told you: high standards). This has made it difficult to find a robe, and I have really wanted a robe.
When I saw Scotti talking about eberjey making the pajamas of her dreams, I reached out to the brand about robes and they were unbelievably kind to send over both a robe and a pajama set to try.
I figured they would be great, but I didn’t expect both of them to completely exceed my expectations.
eberjey’s Gisele Robe Is Everything I’ve Been Looking For
I’ve always loved the idea of a robe but only rarely do I like the actual robes.
I loved this thick, cozy Target robe when I was pregnant and in the hospital and through those fresh newborn days (read: daze). Once my kid began sleeping through the night and we found our new routine, it became too much of a robe.
Eberjey’s Gisele TENCEL Modal Robe is everything I’ve been looking for since then.

The sleeves are the perfect length, long enough to be cozy but not so long that they fall over my hands and get in the way of hair and makeup (or changing diapers, cleaning the house, etc). The fabric has the perfect balance of being super soft, and almost silky, yet the sleeves can be pushed up, rolled up, and stay put until you pull them back down (literally, my dream come true).
The Gisele Robe has two different ties, the one on the outside that’s visible, and another hidden inside to keep the robe from opening up awkwardly around house guests or the mail carrier.

And it’s the perfect length. The robe is long enough that I feel wrapped up and cozy in it but it’s still is short enough to feel breezy in the summer.
It checks all of my picky loungewear boxes.
This Eberjey Pajama Set Is Summer PJ Perfection
The robe has been a dream come true — and the Gisele Short PJ Set only solidified my newfound love for eberjey.
It’s as if any minor complaint I’ve had about pajamas was taken into consideration and improved upon with this PJ set.
Right off the bat, I noticed that the way the shirt drapes and where it lands on the shorts is perfect — it isn’t cropped, but it doesn’t drown the shorts either by being too long, like so many other pajama sets. The top and bottoms feel as though they were designed to drape together perfectly.
The buttons on the top are sturdy, even a little snugly attached, to prevent them from coming undone while moving about or turning in bed. I have a pajama set by a different brand (that I’m realizing is not a 10/10) where the buttons seem to come undone just by looking at them. It’s not only wildly inconvenient but it can be a tangled, uncomfortable mess to sleep in. The buttons on the eberjey pajama shirt actually stay put without being difficult to undo. I didn’t realize how my favorite PJs could actually be so much better until I had this Gisele Relazed Short PJ Set!
The TENCEL Modal fabric is temperature regulating (just like my favorite robe), extremely soft on the skin, and machine washable. Because easy to clean = priority.
And the shorts? They don’t have a drawstring — which might be a miss for some, but turns out to be the best ever for me. I was nervous at first since I don’t have any curves to help keep these types of bottoms in place. But somehow the elastic waistband, which is super stretchy and doesn’t dig into my skin at all, magically conforms to my shape and sits perfectly in place.
I can even run around after my toddler and never once have to adjust their placement. Not to mention, the top lays so much better over a pair of shorts when there isn’t a drawstring hanging out.
eberjey, you are my new favorite PJ & lounge brand. Thank you a million!!!
