There is nothing I love more than throwing together a jeans styling post. Gosh, thank you for this opportunity to continue doing it, readers. It’s been a crappola winter so far, and these little distractions like styling up some straight leg jeans (part fun, part challenge) are getting me through. Thanks for continuing to read our posts and showing your support. Just needed to get that out there!
Now onto the fashun…
I first tried these straight leg jeans on in my recent AGOLDE try-on sesh. The Riley ripped super high waist crop wound up being my favorite style that I didn’t already have in my closet, and perfect for spring, so I thought I’d style them up 6 ways for y’all! Bonus: they’re sustainable!

AGOLDE Riley High Rise Straight Leg Crop Jeans: The Fit
You’ll see that I adore these jeans (more sizes here…and a plus-size option with similar distressed knees). So much so that I have now tried them on again and again in two different sizes (27 on the left, 28 on the right). I honestly think I’m right between. The size up fits sliiiightly bigger and slightly longer, but not significantly in either. My true size (though who actually knows what that is these days) fits, but is tight in the waist. The larger size relaxed a little bit with wear over the course of a couple of hours at home, mostly standing, but also, not significantly. If I keep the larger, I think I would probably crop them. The smaller? I might leave that length.

I don’t know. For now I’m hanging onto both sizes, still with tags on, contemplating life. I’ve indicated the sizes below each photo below so you can see the very slight differences, too, and how they work with different shoes, because that’s always the kicker, right?
6 Ways To Style AGOLDE Riley High Rise Straight Crop Jeans
1 | With A Cardigan-As-A-Shirt & Cute Mules
This was the first way I styled these up. There’s something easy about mules and ankle length jeans. They’re just pretty and flattering together. A V-neck cardigan worn as a shirt is also pretty. I love wearing these boxy v-neck cardis this way.
**Color note: I took these photos on different days and apparently the blue wash is showing differently…the in-person color is somewhere between this blue below and the slightly grayer look in the rest. The outfit with the white loafers is probably the truest color representation.

2 | With An Off-The-Shoulder Top & Cute Heels
Ooohkaaayyy. Yes. This is how I pranced around the house for a bit the other day for a pick-me-up because it’s been so long since I dressed up at all for more than a photo. I LOVE this look. I cannot wait to wear it somewhere. Knowing me, I’d throw my favorite moto jacket on top to warm it up.

3 | Or Swap The Heels Out For Springy Loafers
OK, hi. I also love this combo. White shoes always = fresh. Sienna and Camper were playing or something hence the silly look on my face. It’s tough having the best light in the house in the busiest spot in the house, y’all. Whew. Haha. (Also, hi again tiny ponytail I love you.)

4 | …Or For Rad Taller Lug Sole Boots
Hey-o. Always down for a more badass vibe. Yes. I like to balance out a more feminine or sexy top with some nice lug sole boots. Docs, the taller chelsea boots like these…anything for a bit of a tougher lewk. Grab these boots while they’re still around. They’re my new favs. TTS, not as tall as many other pairs and super comfy around the calf.

5 | Graphic Tees & Sneakers Are Always Go-Tos
I mean, this is just easy and me. Grab your favorite graphic tee and some fun sneakers. The end. (btw, I adore both of these I have on. The sneaks are SO freaking comfy.)

6 | Add A Utility Jacket & Swap Out For Some High-Tops
The number of times I grab this amazing utility jacket for styling…let’s just say it’s a lot of times! (Mine’s older Anine Bing, but I’ve linked to similar options below.) Where To Shop AGOLDE Riley Straight Leg
Luckily, this pair of jeans is available at a lot of retailers. Some offer quite a few different washes, for those of you who may not want the knee distressing, and some only offer one or two. The highest stock in the wash I have, Whiplash, is at Revolve (easy shipping & returns, btw!) They also have the correct fabric info, unlike Free People which says this wash is rigid denim and it’s not. Le sigh. Verishop has more sizes in this cute lighter wash, Shatter, that is low in stock elsewhere.
OK, so did this help anyone decide for me about the sizes? Hmm. I’m leaning towards the size up because I like it both full length with the cute gold heels and cuffed with the high-tops. Right? Who has two thumbs and zero time for uncomfortable waistbands right now? This gal. Plus, sigh, they look less like skinny jeans in the larger size (Gen Z, you’re killing us.)
