Wildly Beautiful: 12 One-Piece Swimsuits

I find printed swimsuits a lot to handle sometimes. I do love my color, but when swimwear is composed of a bunch of random shades that are hard to match, I find myself never really reaching for them because A) they don’t go with much in my closet (cover-up, shorts, shoes…) or B) it’s such a loud, crazy print that I feel I can’t wear it over and over again (which is not that sustainable at all. oof). But they’re so pretty sometimes. Sigh.

This issue has kept me from purchasing those really gorgeous, super-unique suits in the past — but guys, I found one (and then another… and then another.. and then nine more) that really works.

For Maximal Style: 12 Cool One-Piece Swimsuits Featuring Wildly Pretty Prints

These 12 suits are all their own little piece of stretchy, waterproof art. Seriously — I feel special when I have mine on (pic below) and can see myself feeling the exact same in any of the others. There’s something about this wildly beautiful bunch of bathing suits that feels really doable and like I can wear any one of them four times during a weeklong vacation (as long as there’s a washer in my Airbnb, heh) and not get sick of it or run out of items to pair it with.

The secret formula to finding these swimsuits? I’ve got none. Well, I mean I didn’t really set out with a list of rules to follow when searching for colorful, printed suits that can go the distance — it kind of just jumped out at me: closet consciousness.

If you’re saying “Abby, it’s really not that deep and I don’t want to have to consider what’s in my closet when I look for a silly swimsuit I’m going to wear for one summer WITHOUT any other clothes on” — then hey, but why not? We really love being as sustainable as possible here at TME, so grabbing trendy pieces that get old in merely a season or two doesn’t really fly (or feel like it should) with us. So, maybe it’s time to take this sustainability mindset to your swim pieces, too.

It’s possible to be sustainable AND fun (and on-trend, if you can believe it). You just have to know what colors you gravitate towards wardrobe-wise, match your suit to that variation, and BAM. There you go. I suspect that these cool, seemingly-impossible statement pieces will work with a number of things you already have in your closet (but I added a little bit of shopping inspo below, just in case). Even though these suits are true hero pieces — try thinking of your existing wardrobe first and then took a look at all the fun prints. Magic!!!

1. Agua Bendita Ina Leva Suit

This Agua Bendita suit has got you covered. (Just not in the bust area, thanks to the plunge.) It's got a mix of pastels & darker neutrals that makes pairing SO easy. Also — such a flattering cut both in the front & the back.

suit (S, M) (L, XL)

This is obviously my fave swimsuit of the bunch. I have a ton of color (and increasingly more neutrals!) in my closet, so matching isn’t usually a problem. But even if you’re lost and/or aren’t totally adventurous in the color realm — this suit has got you covered. (Just not in the bust area, thanks to the plunge.) It’s got a mix of pastels and darker neutrals that makes pairing SO easy. Also — such a flattering cut both in the front & the back.

2. Farm Rio Caipirinha Floral Suit

You've just gotta love a tropically printed bathing suit for the summer. The plunge neckline & (super) low back is soooo good. Farm Rio knows how to pack a ton of excitement in their prints (as well as some fruit or tropical plants, which I adore).

This piece would work really well with a closet full of navy, greens and browns.

3. Acacia Nova Suit

There's just something about the simple little boho print on this one-piece that makes me feel like it'd go with anything — other prints, colors, textures. Anything! I love the easy feel and the open back that gives off such an effortless vibe.

5. Farm Rio Tangerine Dream Suit

This Farm Rio swimsuit is so interesting.T he halter front and open back feel so freeing, and I think the daisy and peach prints are super-unique.

This swimsuit is so interesting — Farm Rio really knows how to make you want to spend that $$. The halter front and open back feel so freeing, and I think the daisy and peach prints are super-different. I’d wear as a top with these jeans and some gold accessories.

6. Roopa X Beth Richards Suit

Both the red and blue color combinations of this swimsuit are adorable. Totally romantic & femme without being overly precious. The large floral print is a refreshing change from the usual ditsy floral print suits. I appreciate the high waistline for that nice slim silhouette as well.

7. Agua Bendita Azul Cutout Suit

This Agua Bendita suit is just so dang pretty. I'm a sucker for square necklines and drawstrings, and this one-piece has both! Such a sweet number.

8. Farm Praia Cutout Halter Suit

This one-piece suit by Farm Praia is like... a coloring book but better. You see what I mean, no?? I love the navy + red with bits of lighter colors that brighten it up a bit.

Totally can be worn as a cute top too with some flowy cream linen pants or jean shorts and a cute straw bag. Ahh, I’m obsessed.

9. Agua Bendita Esme Bouk Suit

Another Agua Bendita masterpiece. (I'm dramatic, I know haha.) I can't stop scanning it to appreciate the floral pattern; it's so detailed & pretty. The circular side cutout is really fun and adds a bit of playfulness which I'm really into.

10. PatBO Bloom Sweetheart Suit

I mean LOOK at this swimsuit. It's a total piece of art, right? The cutouts... the ruffles.. the buckle.. the pattern. I'm drooling. PatBO makes some absolutely stunning suits. Expensive, yet incredibly unique

11. J.Crew Knot Front Suit

I love the warm yellow shades of this floral suit from J.Crew. And the cutouts?!? They're like, elegant-yet-daring in the best way ever. Partially made of recycled materials, btw! Love to see it.

12. Beth Richards Gina Suit

The criss-cross action on this bathing suit is WILD (and super-sexy) but totally removable if you'd rater skip the big X tan-line *wink*. Love the geometric print & the high waist, too. The saffron color combo would match any neutral.
