I really do love jewel tones for the holidays. There’s something about those deep, rich hues that just seem so festive. Emerald greens, deep bordeaux — they’re gorgeous and elegant, and I’m always happy to wear them.
But I do love a fresh twist, and — hear me out — a vibrant fuchsia (if you’re fancy) or hot pink (if you’re not) is capturing my heart this holiday season.

This statement-making color is a party personified. And while it’s vibrant enough to stand up to (or pair with) any jewel tones, it’s a color that wouldn’t feel out of place in spring or summer, either (and I’ll bet it’ll feel unexpected and fun in the fall too). Hot pink is a year-round kind of color (I mean, just ask the Barbiecore lovers).
My Almost Casual Holiday Outfit: A Hot-Pink Top + Boyfriend Jeans

See? FUN.
I also appreciate how hot pink pairs so well with light-wash jeans — there’s a playful sort of easiness to the pairing.

Warning: These boyfriend jeans from Risen are all but sold out. They are, without a doubt, my favorite pair of Risen jeans (read: super-affordable), and I love that they have a high rise but are still solidly a boyfriend style. And the wash is perfection. I’m going on and on not to taunt you (promise) with sold-out denim, but as a tiny preview of what’s to come: Social Threads is restocking them…soonish. January? I think? Anyway, a restock is coming, and I’ll be sure to sound the alarm.
That sounds funny. Ring the bell?
Shout from the rooftops?
Light the lamp?
Whatever. I’ll tell ya.

6 More Holiday Outfit Ideas Featuring Hot Pink
While a hot-pink top + boyfriend jeans are an easy win, there are a few other outfit ideas I’ve stumbled across…and now can’t stop thinking about. Here we go:
1. Make A Sweater Dress Fancy With Statement Boots
While any statement boots would work here, these hot-pink boots are TON of fun. I have an old pair of tall snakeskin boots (in bright blue), and I’ve worn them almost every winter with a long skirt (or maxi) dress. This is a fun trick that’s both warm and festive, but I haven’t yet tried them with a sweater dress.
If I didn’t already own a pair of wildly fun statement boots, I’d order this hot pink pair before you could say FUCHSIA.
2. Perk Up Jeans & Sweaters With Pink Party Shoes

Scotti and I are on the same hot-pink wavelength…and her outfit above (those feather-trim heels — swoon) is a good example of how hot pink fits riiiiiight into holiday and New Year’s Eve outfits. This would also be a really cute Valentine’s Day outfit too.
3. Hot Pink On Pink
I’m a sucker for a good monochromatic moment, and this is one of the best (especially since each piece would be a standout on its own too). Love how the velvet pants and lace top balance each other out, resulting in a really pretty and festive look.
4. Lingerie Vibes: Silky Pink Skirt
While the matching camisole is an obvious win (and would definitely reinforce the boudoir vibes here), I love the idea of pairing this silk skirt with a deliciously drapey cashmere sweater and tall boots.
5. Hot Pink + Faux Leather
There’s something very naughty/nice about the combination of a hot-pink top and leather (or faux-leather) pants. It’s a more playful, flirty pairing than the expected red and black.
6. Head-To-Toe Hot (Pink)

Turns out that a hot-pink dress is an absolute joy to wear. It’s a happy, flirty color and so versatile that it’ll give your old LBD a run for its money.
