Found My Winter Coat…And Those Chunky Boots Are BACK

Remember those high-shaft, super chunky black boots that I claimed were saving my skinny jeans? I wore them here, with that faux-leather puffer? The boots that were almost completely sold out but I promised to yell if they came back in stock?

Well. I’m yelling.

Found: a white winter coat that's water-resistant & filled w/ responsibly sourced down. Pairing Sweaty Betty's puffer w/ Vagabond's chunky sole boots = SO good.

While I’m still on the hunt for the perfect pair of snow boots (I think it’s these, but they keep selling out)…I am decidedly happy with Vagabond’s chunky boots for everyday. As I first mentioned here, they work just as well with skinny jeans as they do with cropped, straight-leg jeans, making them one of the most versatile boots I’ve EVER owned.

But this puffer, Gang. We need to chat about this puffer. It feels — and I don’t want to exaggerate here — but it feels as though I’m being hugged by a cloud. This puffer has reached new heights of warm and cozy.

It’s not one of those sleek, packable, yet-still-somehow warm puffer jackets (like this one, or this longer one — I’ve tested both over the last three years), instead it is an unapologetically puffy puffer, one that is filled with — and I’m just guessing here — happiness and joy.

In all seriousness, it’s actually filled with responsibly sourced down, and has a wind- and water-resistant outer. This puffer can also be machine washed.

Also, have you seen the HOOD? I DIE.

I’ll throw a quick video up on IG this weekend, showing how this puffer jacket looks when it’s fully zipped up. It’s just so…enveloping that I haven’t really needed to zip it.

I have a feeling that this puffer will go on sale for either Black Friday or Cyber Monday, so it’s worth checking back (and we’ll throw something on social when it does). The boots however…will likely be sold out by then.

(And one final reminder — if you are more into the sleek puffers I linked above, you can always take 15% off your order at Backcountry with code THEMOMEDIT.)

Stay warm and safe out there!

  1. I LOVE this!!! Now I have to decide between keeping the AF faux puffer or ordering this puffer. I cannot justify both, but man they both look fantastic on you Shana! If you had to pick just one, which would you pick?

    • If I wasn’t going to be spending so much time up North…I’d keep the Abercrombie puffer. But if you need an insanely warm option…than the Sweaty Betty one.

    • It doesn’t get to super low temps here…usually in the 30’s at the lowest, so for me I just have need for one long puffer for really cold temps, but I find I wear these shorter ones more for everyday!

    • The white one hits at mid-tush, which I’ve found to be fine…most of the time. If I REALLY need to be warm, however, I just go with my full-length parka (Lole’s – super lightweight and warm): https://shopstyle.it/l/boYhO

Not on sale yet, but I think Backcountry has a coupon for 20% off one item. (Or take 15% off with code THEMOMEDIT).
