This post has been updated for 2021.
I’ve always had issues with cardigans — long cardigans especially. I’m too petite and most cardigans are too oversized, or long for my frame. But last winter I decided to go for a cropped cardigan instead and during a Naadam sale, I took the plunge and ordered this Naadam Cashmere Ribbed Cropped Cardigan.
But the main question was: is the price tag worth it for a cardigan? Keep reading for a full review.

3 Reasons The Naadam Cashmere Cropped Cardigan Is Worth The Price
Fast forward to today, and I’m saying, “where’s my cardigan? I need to wash it again”– almost weekly. And with the new season, I thought it was time to share how amazing it is. I’ve been wearing it non-stop in the springy/fall-ish weather of Bogotá, Colombia, and it’s been perfect.
Not only is the Naadam cropped cardigan high-quality, it also has a flattering, feminine shape and it’s versatile.
1. Naadam Cashmere Is Sustainable & Top Quality

One of the things I always check with any purchase — even if it’s a $30 purchase — is the fabric content and quality. As Shana has mentioned previously, Naadam’s cashmere is sustainably made with top-quality material without the steep price tag many other brands have. This cardigan is 100% cashmere, and on Naadam’s softness scale (you’ll find it under the description box), it’s classified as “heavenly soft,” which is absolutely true. I got this hoodie for my husband in the same cashmere and he wears it five days a week.
I wash it on the “hand wash cycle” and lay it flat to dry for care. I’ve shaved it a couple of times already (but remember pilling is normal with cashmere — read more in Shana’s post on how to care for cashmere).
2. The V-Neck Is On Point

While I don’t mind a little cleavage, I love not having to worry about a low neckline. The V-neck in this cardigan is low enough to be a little sexy but high enough not to wear a camisole or undershirt if you don’t want to. On days I want it a little sexier, I like to unbutton the first button and let it fall off my shoulder a bit. My husband loves it, and I love it more.
3. The Cropped Cardigan Is Versatile For Most Seasons

I wear my Naddam cardigan layered over bodysuits in the thick of winter or by itself with sweatpants to lounge at home. Wear it by itself as a top, a little off the shoulder, backwards for a sexy back or layered over a little tank. Wear it with pants, jeans, shorts or a skirt.

I had many selfies wearing the cropped cardigan, but my phone had to be restored, and I lost all the pics from the past six months. The options are endless, and I might do a full post once I’m back in my closet in NY. Would you like to see that?
How The Naadam Cashmere Cropped Cardigan Fits
It can’t be a “Worth it” post without info about size and fit. I’m between sizes, but most times I go for the size up to have a looser fit. If it’s oversized, I can go a size down. Here, I’m wearing a size S, but I could’ve gotten a size down as I prefer to wear it as a top most times.

If you are tall, want some extra length, want to layer over other pieces, or want a looser fit, size up. Otherwise, stick to your regular size, or go down if you’re between sizes.
But my consensus, and I hope yours too, is that this sweater is a piece to have in your forever closet. The style and quality can withstand the test of time.
