I might have been playing the Six soundtrack a little too much when I ordered this mock neck puff sleeve sweater by Rebecca Taylor.

“What in the Anne Cleves was I thinking?” I said to myself when I pulled out the emerald green sweater from the box.

“These sleeves are…dramatic.”

LOL, pot meet kettle.

I kind of live for a dramatic moment, particularly in fashion. This puff-sleeve sweater is comfortable, but I feel confident & dressed for the day. Thanks to this Rebecca Taylor top, I feel like "I'm the queen of the castle..."

This Simple Yet Dramatic Emerald Green Sweater: My New Favorite

OK, I kind of live for a dramatic moment, particularly in the form of fashion. This sweater, which I questioned on the virtual rack, has quickly become a staple in my wardrobe. I throw it on for a morning drop off and coffee dates, or some days I pair it with cords for a more put-together look. The most common way you’ll find me wearing this top though is definitely with boyfriend jeans, mules and a fabulous purse.

I love how rich and saturated the emerald green is in this sweater. It’s comfortable, yet I feel confident and dressed for the day. I’m also obsessed with how these J.Crew Slouchy Boyfriend Jeans (different wash) and my Frances Loafer Leather Mules look with my sweater. They are also two items in regular rotation. To break it up, and introduce some print, I added my Clare V. Midi Sac Bag in a snakeskin print with the signature stripe down the middle to complete the look.

I had never ordered from Rebecca Taylor until this mock-neck sweater. Since falling in love with this sweater I’ve dug into her line some more. What I appreciate about the brand is that the clothing is simple and timeless, but there is something distinctly feminine about each piece. This could just be a basic sweater, but the color and sleeves totally elevate it. All of her pieces are like that. They stop and make you look a second longer than most.

Fit Notes: The sweater fits TTS (I’m wearing a large). The jeans run large, size down (I’m wearing a 28). The mules are TTS (I’m wearing an 8).

As long as I don’t lose my head of course.
