Worth It: Anine Bing Sweatshirts

There are few designer names I get very excited about. I’m usually a piece-driven shopper and couldn’t care less about who made it. But just about every single piece of Anine Bing’s clothing line is so my vibe. Her designs are edgy, chic but casual, and sporty (with some menswear-style, too). I love.

The Case For Anine Bing Graphic Sweatshirts

Simple, graphic tees and sweatshirts have always been a signature of mine, and Anine Bing does them so well! So when I initially tried her clothes a few years ago, her notable graphic sweatshirts were a no-brainer. Besides denim, these sweatshirts were my first foray into designer pieces. If ever there was a chic sweatshirt…it’s Anine Bing.

I wear a lot of sweatshirts, so purchasing designer sweatshirts make sense for me + my closet. Anine Bing's graphic tops last through washes & wear beautifully, plus they're stylish + cool so I reach for them often.

Are Anine Bing Sweatshirts Worth It?

I wear a lot of sweatshirts, so purchasing designer sweatshirts make sense for me and my closet. Some of the super-soft sweatshirts out there that come in at a much lower price point are so cozy…but tend to only last a season or two because they pill or don’t hold their shape or their design is too trendy.

This isn’t the case with these well-made graphic tops from Anine Bing. They last through washes and wear beautifully, plus they’re stylish + cool so I reach for them often.

After having this unique job for a while now, I’ve started realizing which pieces warrant a spot in my forever closet and these tops are in. I cull my closet often and these are easy choices to put in the “keep” pile. Let’s get more into why:

  • quality 100% cotton fabric (doesn’t pill)
  • edgy + cool but wearable designs that don’t go out of style
  • the black is a faded black which I find easier to style + more versatile
  • cut in a classic vintage fit that’s not too fitted or too boxy

Where To Buy Anine Bing Sweatshirts

You can shop Anine Bing at some of our favorite retailers including Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Revolve and Shopbop. You can also shop the largest selection on aninebing.com

They do restock some of the tee and sweatshirt designs year after year, but some styles are just available for a season and do tend to sell out. So, if you fall in love with a design, it’s worth trying out right then as they don’t always stick around.

My Favorite Anine Bing Graphic Sweatshirt Styled 4 Ways

As you can tell above there are quite a few designs offered in Anine Bing sweatshirts, but my longtime favorite has been my tiger sweatshirt. I’m partial to tigers, have always been drawn to the fierceness they represent, and even have a tiger tattoo. This is a design I knew was very ‘me’ from the minute I saw it years ago. It was an easy decision. And I love how it adds that graphic pop and edge to whatever I wear it with…

1. Anine Bing Graphic Sweatshirt + Plaid Pants

As you can tell above there are quite a few designs offered in Anine Bing sweatshirts, but my longtime favorite has been my tiger sweatshirt. The design and quality of these tops just gives them that elevated look you need to be able to pull it off.

I love a sweatshirt moment, but they can be somewhat tricky to style with dressier pants. The design and quality of these tops just gives them that elevated look you need to be able to pull it off. I want to style mine up with some faux leather pants soon, too, for an even edgier version of this.

Fit notes: I find these sweatshirts to run very true to size. I’m wearing a S in both sweatshirts featured in this post and they fit beautifully. If you do want that oversized look that is in right now, consider sizing up, especially for more length. I’m 5’4″ for reference.

2. Anine Bing Graphic Sweatshirt + Black Ripped Jeans + Western Boots

love combining genres of clothing like sporty with edgy or preppy. This combo of sweatshirt and ripped jeans with a western boot is one of my current favs. I love, love a taupe suede western boot for being really versatile with lots of colors of jeans, pants, dresses, etc.,

3. Anine Bing Graphic Sweatshirt + Loungewear

It's not a stretch to think that a sweatshirt can be worn as loungewear, but it's nice to show it regardless! I love traveling with this top because it's versatile like this.

4. Anine Bing Graphic Sweatshirt + Black Jeans + Checkered Vans

And, of course, I have to show this top with jeans and sneakers. I'll always love a checkered Van slip-on, and I love mixing it with the graphic print of the sweatshirt. Talk about versatile. These shoes are just that.

Next up I’m adding the London tee to my collection (since…favorite city ever!) I also adore the style of the Paris sweatshirts worn oversized with the pushed up sleeves below, too. They’re really tempting me since I’m brushing up on my French right now. (Thanks to Duo Lingo!)

I know these are a higher price point than many other sweatshirts out there, but if you settle on a design you love, Anine Bing graphic tops truly are worth it. My cost-per-wear is already down to pennies after four years of owning mine. I’m wearing it as I write😃. And after falling in love with this piece, I then added the army jacket to my wardrobe, which you may have heard me rave about here. Such cool pieces and inspiring looks!

If you have a very chic sweatshirt you love, do let us know in the comments! They are one of my favorite pieces for easy everyday outfits that still look thoughtful and cool. Until next time…
