Clean & Crisp: White Blazer + This Printed Top

Hey friends. Get a white blazer. I can’t think of much more to say besides that (I call a mom-brain day). BUT, if you need something to freshen up your looks for spring and summer this is the piece. I typically prefer pairing it with my go-to black jeans or joggers because I love the contrast, but it works beautifully with blue jeans, too, and even with leggings! It makes your outfit feel polished and professional but in a summery way.

White Blazer For A Casual Outfit Upgrade

Time to break out the summer casual outfits, Mamas! BUT — don't forget a white or off-white blazer to top off that printed cami. Casual, cool perfection.

My co-worker was trying to steal the show here. And apparently I match my dog to my favorite outfits…my last dog was also a black and white border collie mix haha. #graphicdesignerprobs

I just love this look for anything from date nights to meetings to conferences. It’d be easy to swap the jeans for black skinny pants to take this to the office, too. I’ve had a few different white blazers and the one I’m wearing here is stretchy, fabulous and oh-so-soft. It runs slightly small. I’m wearing a US 6 here, but I hover between a 4 and 6 in jackets, typically. Ooh, and it looks like my favorite from the Nsale last year is back in stock, too! Love the collar on that one, as well.

Outfit Details

Express Notch Collar Blazer – I LOVE this blazer. It’s soft, but looks sharp and is really flattering. It comes in quite a few shades, too. It just ups my outfit game. I’ve worn this type of outfit to date night, meetings, conferences, and anything where I want to feel summery but have that top layer. Wearing US 6. Runs slightly small.

Express Striped Cami (similar) – The one I’m wearing has already sold out, but this one is very similar, bold stripes and the same cut. Wearing a Small.

Madewell 9″ High Rise Skinny Jeans in Black Sea – My fav go-to skinny jeans…although I’m moving toward loving these slightly more straight leg better.

Boden Henrietta Heels – I love, love these heels. They’re gorgeous and walkable. They’re only one of two pairs of heels I own. Haha. They come in a fun bright green, too. I sized up by half.

Some days, the outfit ideas are flowing, but the words aren’t. I’m hoping the words flow again because I just downloaded this journaling app called Journey, recommended by a lovely reader. Do you journal every day?

I did a little poll on Instagram stories and it looks like many of us don’t. I’m horrible at it and was wondering why…it’s either because I’m such a visual person who I think relies on photos a lot to document our lives OR it’s because I hate doing anything every day. Ugh. So confining that. Haha.

I love the idea of having some stories and records for Sienna to look back on someday though, so send me all your journaling how-tos and tips for making it happen. Until next time…

xo,

L

  1. Very cute outfit! And those shoes!? So pretty! I will admit that I am intrigued by journaling, but don’t know how much I would actually do. I like the idea of documenting what happens in our lives. I used to have a blog when my kids were little and we really love reading what life was like (crazy. It was crazy), but as they’re older now, I think it would be pretty boring. Keeping a journal might be the answer to that.

  2. Are you familiar with bullet journaling? I’ve been doing it for the last 4 years, I think I stuck with it because it can be as simple or involved as you want. I’m also very visual and I love to doodle and make lists. Everyday I write down the best thing that happened today and it has ended up being a cool record of our days. Tons of stuff on bullet journaling on Pinterest and YouTube. ?

    • Ahh that’s so great! i used it last year, but mostly as a to-do list. I love incorporating it as actual journaling, too. I think now that I’ve been away from it for a while I’m really realizing how useful it is! Thank you!

  3. I love everything about your outfit especially CAMPER!!! He looks at you so devotedly, as if to thank you for twinning with him.

  4. I do not need new (red and pink) heels… I do not need new (red and pink) heels… I do not… Oh, screw it. Blazer and new heels, here I come!
