One piece that has been a wardrobe problem-solver this summer has been the Gigi linen wrap skirt (from our recent collaboration with Voloshin). The print is fresh and exciting, the 100% linen fabric is gorgeous (yet machine washable), and the shape?
Well. The shape is what makes it so versatile. I find myself reaching for this wrap skirt whenever I don’t feel like wearing my denim cut-offs (yet it’s still too hot for pants). The slight high-low hem means that it looks cute with sneakers and flats, yet still feels a little bit sexy. And the back of my legs are covered (so I can sit without getting a chair imprint on the back of my thighs).
Even better, this particular style of skirt is really forgiving in terms of length. It’s technically a ‘midi’, but can hit higher (if you’re tall) or lower (if you’re short) and still look cute. Size up, though — I found the buttons a little snug (or just move the buttons — everyone tells me it’s easy to do).
Our entire VoloshinX TME collection is currently 25% off…but you can take an additional $51 off the skirt (bringing the price under $100) with code LOVEGIGI.
7 Ways to Wear This Pretty Wrap Skirt
1. With Vans & Tank Tops
This is how I’ve been wearing it the most all summer. I don’t plan on giving up my Vans anytime soon, either.

2. With a Graphic Tee + Sneaks
Now that the weather is getting cooler (har har 80 degrees with 300% humidity…instead of 90 degrees with 100% humidity)…graphic tees and my usual Superstars.

3. Warm It Up With a Denim Jacket, Part 1
Those boxy, oversized denim jackets work with the skirt. And the pattern — by design — has enough black in it that it doesn’t get overwhelmed by the black denim jacket.

4. Warm It Up With a Denim Jacket, Part 2
A slimmer, blue denim jacket also works. This combo has basically been my night-out summer uniform. (Granted, “night out” looks different these days — oh hi mask — but still.)

5. With Gray Tees + Clogs
Inside the house, I rock this outfit with slippers (it’s comfy enough to lounge in). But since venturing outside (for any random errand) is cause for celebration these days…why not clogs? Not overly fancy, just slightly elevated. Perfect for the low bar that is Fall Fashion, 2020.

6. Another Matching Set
We do have a wrap top that is designed to go perfectly with this wrap skirt…but I wanted to also note that this bow-shoulder top does work as well. And wearing it untucked results in a 1920s-esque vibe that I’m totally into.

7. Black Silk Cami + Heels
When the world gets normal again, I’d suggest wearing this to any number of events: garden parties, weddings, date nights. That said, I did stubbornly wear this outfit to Trattoria Carina a couple of weeks ago — outdoor seating, ovbi — but I mayyyyy have had on sneakers. It’s 2020. Whatever.

This skirt has just become a fun little piece to swap in for my usual denim shorts…or sweatpants. Truthfully, all other pieces stay the same — these outfit ideas aren’t new, they’re what I’ve been wearing all summer — and I always appreciate one of these ‘easy swap’ pieces to make my existing looks feel fresh. Has anyone else found a piece like that?
ps. And don’t forget to use code LOVEGIGI to bring the price of the skirt under $100.
