Scotti’s Sustainable Style Picks
1 | Sourcery Label Byron Silk Shirt Dress: This dress is amazing. Made from 100% washable-silk — SO gorgeous. (Also in black, but I love the tie-dye!)
2 | H&M Oversized Cotton Hoodie: There’s nothing like a good oversized hoodie. This one would look good on its own or over leggings.
3 | NADAAM Cashmere Turtleneck Dress: I need this. Like maybe one in every color…and just wear them on rotation this winter.
5 | Oribe Gold Lust Duo: This is crazy expensive for a shampoo/conditioner duo, but it’s 100% worth it. The smallest amount of shampoo will lather up into enough for your entire head and the conditioner leaves your hair soft…and they work together to prevent split ends and future damage. (They smell amazing!!)
6 | H&M Windproof Jacket: I like the longer length of this lightweight anorak—and the color is perfect for fall.
7 | NADAAM Boat Neck Sweater: LOVE the neckline on this sweater. Add a pretty bralette underneath, and let it hang off your shoulder.
8 | DL 1961 Jeans: I LOVE the distressing on these! They look like the perfect vintage pair that have been favorites for years.
9 | Girlfriend Collective Leggings: I’ve heard great things about Girlfriend Collective, and these compression leggings would be a great place to start. Eco-friendly and cut from recycled plastic!
10 | Warp + Weft Jeans: The wash on these is perfection. They’re “crafted with a touch of stretch for light sculpting around the thighs and midsection,” and the raw hemline make them easy to hem.

I’m on the hunt for a new bag…or maybe a couple. Surprise, surprise. SO many good options using recycled materials!
1 | Recycled Billboard Vinyl Backpack: You HAVE to check out the selection of bags on this website. Incredible one-of-a-kind designs made from old billboards…so cool! Backpacks, totes, cooler bags, and more!
2 | Recycled Denim Shopping Bag: Love these types of bags…they stretch to carry TONS of stuff. And of course LOVE that this particular one is made from yarn made from recycled denim.
3 | Recycled Billboard Cooler Bag: From the same company that makes the backpacks! Fantastic selection of one-of-a-kind pieces made from recycled billboard vinyl.
4 | Recycled Rubber Bag: This Etsy shop has a really cool selection of bags and accessories made from recycled rubber. This one is my favorite design.
5 | Recycled Plastic Bottle Backpack: I’m wanting a bigger backpack that can carry all the things but still looks cute and somewhat fresh…I’m leaning toward this one made from recycled plastics.
6 | Recycled Ocean-Bound Marine Plastic Bag: Well, hello Rothy’s bag…aren’t you gorgeous! Pricey, but oh-so chic!
Laura’s Sustainable Style Picks
There are some serious closet staples in this roundup, friends! My favorite denim jacket, a gorgeous cozy sweater, leggings that make your booty look bomb, dad jeans, and rad sneakers in both white and bright…all are from sustainable brands and/or fabrics. Yay!
1 | Levi’s Original Trucker Jacket: Definitely a closet staple and Levi’s have the best washes. True to size and breaks in beautifully with wear, just like their rigid denim.
2 | H&M vintage slim high ankle jean: I’m a little obsessed with finding the best ivory jeans right now. These might be it! Made from recycled cotton and a blend of other materials to give them some stretch (no breaking-in with these jeans.) I LOVE them with the white tee and tan suede booties.
3 | H&M sweater: This looks SO cozy…but hmm which color? It’s from H&M’s Conscious line and is made with recycled polyester.
4 | Emerson Fry tee: I’ve been wanting this forever. I collect tiger stuff for some reason…I think it makes me feel badass. Emerson Fry creates in small batches, so there’s less waste, and I adore their style so much. My fav caftan is from there, too.
5 | Veja Sneaks: I have the Veja V-10 sneakers from a few years ago, and they have a classic tennis vibe. This pair is rad in all white with more of a running shoe shape/design. They look so comfy! Perhaps you’d skip the break-in period the V-10s require.
6 | Agolde Pinch Waist 90s jeans: I have a post coming up where I try these on. So good! They fit similarly to the Topshop dad jeans, but without the knee rip — plus they’re sustainable! I sized up one size and that was the perfect fit.
7 | Madewell Face Mask: This is made from organic cotton using upcycled fabric scraps. So pretty; I love the very simple embroidery design.
8 | Adidas Ultraboost Sneakers: I have these in black coming in the mail to try and review, but THIS. hot. pink! So rad. I’d pair with all-black sporty and workout looks. Love Adidas so much!
9 | Adidas Original Trefoil Stripe Leggings: These are the booty-flattering, classic leggings from Adidas. They’re not high rise, but they are comfy and sporty and great. I have had mine for a few years.

Finding plus-size sustainable fashion picks is definitely a challenge, y’all! I am waiting for NAADAM and AGOLDE to get on board with selling sustainable plus-size items. This month, however, I did manage to round-up these cute AF hightop Adidas that I am crushing on, my go-to backpack that I have had for years and still use everyday, and this Athleta sherpa jacket that I think is perfect for the season. (So excited for all things fall!!)
1 | EILLEEN FISHER Recycled Polyester Coat: I am loving dark turquoise for fall, and think this EILEEN FISHER coat is the perfect addition. The entire jacket is made out of recycled materials, and you all already know Eileen is the GOAT when it comes to sustainability.
2 | Adidas Cropped Hoodie: Would my roundup really be a roundup without a cropped top?! I love the simplicity of Adidas athleisure wear and think the white striped detailing on the side gives that classic look.
3 | Athleta Tugga Sherpa Jacket: I just ordered this jacket and am so stoked for it to come in soon! My attraction to this color right now runs deep, and I can’t wait for all the teddy bear coat vibes!
4 | Reformation Gellar Top: I am loving all the cardigans that are coming out this season. This dusty blue color is such a cutie. Reformation is my top pick for trendy sustainable fashion!
5 | Reformation Pinto Top: While I am not typically one to pick floral patterns, I really like this one — I am a sucker for a square neckline.
6 | MATT & NAT Brae Faux Leather Backpack: MATT & NAT made the very first sustainable item that I ever bought back in 2016. It was a present to myself for starting a new job, and I have used it every single day since. I love that it’s made of recycled materials and the quality lasts forever!
7 | Adidas Nizza Mid Top Platform Sneaker: These sneakers feel so fresh to me. I love that they have a platform sole. I love the crisp white and am hoping that they have the comfort that Adidas is notorious for.
8 | DL1961 Emma Low Rise Instasculpt Skinny Jean: DL1961 is one of my absolute favorite denim brands, and their efforts in the sustainability world are to be celebrated! They use solar panel energy and developed a low-water production line! Not only do I love their ethics, but their jeans also fit me like a glove and are pure perfection.
9 | EILEEN FISHER Traceable Stretch Organic Cotton T-Shirt Dress: I just love how simple this dress is. I think it would be a great staple for layering this season.
Shana’s Sustainable Style Picks
1 / NAADAM Cashmere Set: NAADAM cashmere is a dream (both Mike and I swear by their sweaters), and this insanely gorgeous lounge set is calling my name. I *may* not be able to pull off the cropped tank situation, but a girl can dream. More likely I’ll end up in this set, but if there’s a better consolation prize for 2020…a matching, sustainable, cashmere sweatsuit has gotta be it.
3 / ABLE Luxe Statement Earrings: These are NOT hoops. They are highly textured, edgy bar earrings and I AM OBSESSED.
4 / ABLE Gloria Graphic Tee: While you’re over at Able, why not also snap up this go-with-everything, Anine Bing-ish tee that is also sustainable?
5 / Patagonia Bivy Hooded Down Vest: Scotti will be wearing this in her latest Backcountry post…and I loved it so much I bought one, too. I’ve been staring at these Patagonia vests for MONTHS now, and this version, I’m happy to report, is uber-lightweight, squishable and drapey. So. If you tried (and returned) that Patagonia vest I was talking about last spring (the one in the really pretty color) because it was too canvas-y and stiff…you’ll LOVE this one. It’s a totally different beast (yet still made from 100% recycled material).
6 / Everlane Clean Silk Cami: I wear a LOT of silk camis, guys. They’re my go-to tanks for really hot weather, and my favorite thing to layer under cashmere sweaters. (NOTE: I’m talking 100% silk, NOT polyester, or any other silky fabric.). Everlane’s cami are some of the best: affordable, sustainable, and wash up nicely in the washing machine (hang to dry).
7 / Everlane ReKnit Glove Boot: Still one of the most useful pairs of boots I own. The heel is walkable, and the recycled knit fabric slides effortlessly under all sorts of cropped jeans (which is why I named them one of the three Best Boots To Wear With Cropped Jeans In The Winter). I have the black but am seriously considering this yellowish-taupe to pair with my light-wash jeans.
8 / Levi’s 501 Jeans: Good grief I wear these jeans a LOT. Been my go-to jeans all summer, and I’m going to wear these babies until the cold air turns my legs red. And yes — I have a pair with less distressing cued up for winter, too (also these). But this light-wash, uber-distressed pair are still my favs.
9 / Danner Mountain Light Boot: We keep getting questions about what to wear hiking…and I can’t recommend these boots enough. I have literally hiked all over the world in them, and my love for them has not yet dimmed. I did a full review, here.
10 / EILEEN FISHER Funnel Neck Boxy Crop Sweater: Eileen Fisher tops are one of my favorite ways to elevate an outfit, and I always pounce on a sale (this top is currently en route to my house). They just seem to nail that impossibly luxe (yet unassuming) vibe.
Em’s Sustainable Style Picks
Hi friends! These sustainability round-ups are my favorite — I’m always finding things I’m convinced I must have. And this month, I’ve rounded up eight pieces that have ya covered head to toe. (Literally! this is my ideal transitional fall outfit — just gotta choose between the tee or the tank.)
1 | DUMA New Winter Belt Jacket: THIS THING. I can’t personally attest to the quality, but if it’s as gorgeous IRL as it is on the screen, I am 100% sold. Chic, versatile and a surprisingly affordable price point for a small, slow-fashion find.
2 | Athleta Essence Twist Tank (**PLUS SIZING AVAILABLE**): An easy tank for layering with an interesting knotted hem that would sit perfectly with the 501s here, but the back is surprisingly chic, too. Select colors are now on super sale.
3 | Levi’s 501 Crop Jeans: My Levi’s 501 crops are easily the jeans I wear most, and I know I’ll have them forever. (The specific pair I wear most I’ve had for five years, and they just keep getting better.) These are the perfect classic wash with just enough distressing. (I wear mine TTS.)
4 | ABLE Gloria Graphic Tee: We do these roundup posts in a vacuum, more or less, so when the same item makes it onto a couple of our short lists, it’s gotta be special. As is the case with this tee, which made it into Shana’s roundup, too. The graphic is cool — I mean, it just is — but there’s actually some intention behind it, too, which is even cooler. (The tigers represent India, where the tee is made, and the iris represents Tennessee, where ABLE headquarters is located.)
5 | Kosas The Big Clean Mascara: I’m pretty picky about clean cosmetics, but I’m extra picky about what I put around my eyes, and this Kosas mascara is getting rave reviews left and right. It promises “big, fluffy lashes'” (instantly, no less!). Can’t wait to give it a shot.
6 | Ana Luisa Elia Earrings: Every time I visit the Ana Luisa site I want…ohhh, everything. These tiny starburst hoops are made with recycled sterling silver that’s gold plated — perfect a little everyday pop. Well-priced, too at under $50.
7 | Adidas Superstar Up Shoes: OK friends, where have I been? Have these been back for a while now? Feeling very much in the fashion dark, if so, because they are everything I want in a shoe, and I missed the boat when they were first released. Classic Superstars taken up a notch, literally. The ’90s wedge sneaker enthusiast in me is extremely excited.
8 | Savannah Baskets Bernice Straw Basket: I have a bit of a basket problem — I can literally be convinced to buy all of them, and honestly, this one takes no convincing at all. It’s the perfect size for toting a few things over to friends’ houses, and looks like a piece of decor when it’s haphazardly deposited on the entryway bench. Ideal.
’til next month!
This one’s for the pinners…
