While I was prepping for my review of Naadam’s sustainably-made cashmere…I came across this top that is best described as a cashmere bra top. Obviously it came with matching, awkwardly cropped cashmere joggers. And while this is not the sort of set I typically go for…I threw it in my cart because, at this point in 2020 I could use a good laugh.
Anyway, imagine my surprise when I found that the set looked like this:

So cute, right?? And it’s never too hot and has turned out to be something I throw on for a Friday or Saturday night in. It feels a little fancy, even, almost…sexy?
But once in a while, I do want something to throw on top. And if you, like me, were tempted to buy the matching cardigan…well…
THINK AGAIN.
I did not love this piece. It might be my height (5’3″) buuuuuut….
Dear god. Stop buttoning. Stop it.
What about open? Does open work?
Um. It’s…fine. Fine.
But when I swapped out the matching cardigan for a chunkier one that hit at the waist….

There we go. Much better.
I think any short or shorter cardigan would work (or, heck, a belted cardigan). Or maybe just being a tall & gorgeous 20-something would work great, too. Take your pick.
Anyway, cardigan excluded, this set is a really fun one to wear. It’s been a pleasant surprise, and, I suspect will be on major sale for Black Friday. (You can check to see if Naadam is having a sale, here.)

Ahhh…I didn’t! But it looks like the striped crewneck runs smaller than the other sweaters I tried on – it’s pretty fitted.
I like the longer cardigan! I think it’s more on trend and less cute than the shorter one. I like it open rather than closed, and think it’d look super cute with some sneakers. Either way, great set and you look adorable.
I agree with Samantha…I like the longer cardigan on you. What size did you order in the cardigan?
