I had a tummy tuck over two years ago, yet I haven’t worn a low-rise bikini. While my reasons to go for surgery were mainly medical to help my hernia and diastasis recti, there was always that part of me that thought I would go back easily to wearing my pre-baby bikinis (remember that postpartum swimwear article?). It didn’t happen.
I believe all bodies are beach bodies, and you don’t need a certain body type to wear a certain suit. But I also believe in feeling comfortable, and I feel my best in one-pieces or high-rise bikinis. In full honesty, the huge scar is not my favorite; even after a scar revision surgery, my skin is just too stubborn and developed a thick scar.
Finding bikini bottoms has been a difficult task.
Agua Bendita Makes The Best High-Rise Bikini Bottoms
If you’re not familiar with Agua Bendita, I’m proud to introduce you to a Colombian brand that makes the most beautiful swimwear.
Earlier this year, I traveled to Colombia and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to come to their store and try on all the suits. I ended up keeping these bottoms, and I loved them so much I later got them in black.

Why These High-Rise Swim Bottoms Are So Amazing
1. Agua Bendita Bottoms Are Forgiving & Adjustable
The lace-up of these bottoms will adjust to different body shapes. Need more space in the belly, hips, legs? No problem. I’ve found that high-rise bikinis can sometimes be too tight at the waist, or leg and no thank you, I don’t want a muffin top. Here, I’m able to loosen up the laces and adjust them to my body.

2. Agua Bendita Bottoms Are REVERSIBLE!
Well, at least the printed versions are. You get two amazing prints for the price of one. I love to mix and match with the two tops I got, but you can also just wear it with any solid bikini top you already have.

Sizing: Trying on a ton of bottoms at the store, I noticed I had to go for a medium in those without the lace-ups. However, in these, I was great with an S. Sizing down is possible thanks to the laces.
Pro tip: The rise is long, so what do I do? I fold it in depending on how high I want it to go.

Choose Your Bikini Top
The print bottoms have three different tops you can pair them with. They have the most amazing hand-made details sure to make you feel you’re wearing a very special piece.

This top won me over because of the unique attention to detail. The prints, the beading, the style. I recommend sizing down, I kept my true size, and at times feels a little small.

There’s something about a bandeau top that looks stunning with high-rise bottoms. It runs TTS.
Agua Bendita Jambo Colleen Top
This is the top I should have gotten for days at the pool with the kids. It’s more sporty and covered, and of course, it’s fully reversible with that pretty beading on the neckline.
Throw On This Sarong For A Chic Beach/Pool Look
Well, I just learned how these things are called in English. In Spanish, at least in Colombia, we call it pareo. I’m in love with this.
