The Adidas Samba Debate: Do We Love Or Hate?

Adidas Sambas. They’ve been seen all. over. the. place. Like ALL over. I think it’s safe to say they were THE sneaker for nearly everyone in 2023 no matter what their style was. Frills, feathers and feminine dresses? Sambas. Tees and baggy jeans? Sambas. Loungewear? Sambas. Trousers and blazers? Sambas. You get the point. This is exactly why we might still bring them into 2024.

Just like everything in this life, though, there’s always gonna be someone that decidedly hates them. Is this said person on the TME team? Well, I can’t spoil that for ya…just watch the video for yourself.

Our Thoughts On The Adidas Samba Phenomenon

What I will say is this: we have strong opinions on most things, but the shoes we wear? Even stronger opinions. When a trend is all over the world (and our social feeds), we like to try it out for ourselves and decide if it’s truly worth our time and money, and it has to work with our existing wardrobes and lifestyles. 8 inch stiletto heels? Probably not something we’re willing to spend a lot on. Adidas Sambas? Maybe. After about a year of giving it a go, we finally all came together as a team to share our thoughts on this Adidas Samba debate. I think you might be surprised by some of our answers, and totally not surprised by others.

Psst — curious about everything we’re wearing? You can find this latest video here on our Youtube channel. Just click “More” in the description and you’ll find allll of the outfit details and handy shopping links.
