OK Gang, I could start with “happy holidays” and some sort of sentimental story…but if you’re here, at this particular page, I know what you’re lookin’ for (ummm…Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, maybe?). Have a seat — here’s a virtual toast *clink clink* — and let’s get right to the goods. If you’re looking for gifts or more of our holiday season shenanigans, head over to Holiday Central. To just get to the retailers and our favorite picks, go here.
First of all, Black Friday and Cyber Monday might look a little different this year. We know that sales have been off the hook for most of the 2020, and the Amazon’s Prime Day in October kinda kicked off early Black Friday deals and sales on top of that. SO, what that means is that sales started earlier and/or you’ve seen greater discounts earlier in the season. We’ve kept up with these sales on the blog, on our Instagram channel, on Facebook (especially the Insiders group) and on Twitter. It’s best to subscribe to the newsletter to keep fully up-to-date.
The Best Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sales For Fashion, Beauty & Home
There are three things to know about this Black Friday/Cyber Monday central we have going on:
ONE: We’ve been doing a ton of Dressing Room Selfies — see them below. Dressing Room Selfies are a good way for us to know what to recommend…and a good way for our readers to actually see how these clothes fit. If interested in these, scroll just a little.
TWO: Editor wish lists & shopping lists can be found below our Dressing Room selfies. We’ve spent the last week scouring the internet for the best of Black Friday (and Cyber Monday) & we’ve pulled out the sales worth shopping. Looking for recommendations? These are our top overall picks from the Black Friday Sales.
THREE: To see a list of all retailers participating in Black Friday, as well as our top picks for each retailer (YES THIS ONE IS LONG)…jump down by clicking here. *To better help you, we’ve edited our top picks for each retailer for 2020.*
My own personal goal? To actually finish shopping (and wrapping gifts and, uh, mailing gifts #theWORST) before December hits. I have high hopes for a December filled with hot cocoa-and-movie nights (White Christmas, HOLLA), lots of cashmere loungewear, and basically anything that Norman Rockwell would’ve pinned to Pinterest (ha!). But I’ll settle for some extra snuggles and better headspace than my usual frantic December self. Cheers to a holiday season that is, hopefully, filled with joy and peace.

If you haven’t checked out Abercrombie in a while…you’re in for a treat. The brand has completed reinvented itself and is now a TME team favorite for reliably cute sweaters, great coats (with a cool heritage vibe – think parkas with good details) , and shockingly good jeans. (In fact, Abercrombie’s denim for men is one of Mike’s favorites.)
ABLE is a really great brand for so many reasons besides their gorgeous products (see below for what I’m eyeing..) They’re a transparent, ethical brand that employs and empowers women as a solution to end poverty. Use code: FESTIVE25 for 25% off.
There are so many deals happening that it’s hard to keep track. Our best bets are listed below. (And if you’d like to see exactly WHY we’re so obsessed with Amazon’s Echo shows…here’s our article on why we think they’re the perfect gift.)
American Eagle – 40% Off Sitewide & Free Shipping
Anthro certainly knows how to bring the holiday joy. From party tops to swoon-worthy dresses…it’s easy to forget that they’re also one of our favorite sources of jeans and winter accessories (seriously — they carry the cutest winter hats and mittens).
I somewhat recently discovered (or rediscovered) Athleta’s workout leggings, and they’ve quickly become some of my favorites. I love the inclusive sizing, and their (admittedly small) foray into sustainable products. The colors this season are particularly good….hello, oxblood.
Bloomingdale’s is one of our little-known secrets for scoring designer denim on sale. Stock tends to sell pretty quickly, though, so we’ve found it’s better to not hesitate. (And Bloomingdales has an amazing 365-day return policy, as well as free shipping AND free return shipping so there’s that.)
If you’re looking for a break from the usual Black Friday madness…try Everlane. They’re donating to Feeding America — $100K to start, for every donation made Tuesday at feedingamerica.org/everlane they’ll donate an additional $10 and THEN Friday through Sunday they’re donating $1 for every Everlane order placed.
H&M has been getting better & better. The quality of the pieces are typically really good, and we’re thrilled that they’re continuing to expand their conscious (aka more eco-friendly) collection. (ps. H&M is our first stop for little boy suits. They’re machine washable, and look great no matter how many times they get washed.)
The Net-a-Porter sale is always good.
Still some of my most-worn denim, rag & bone has been a longtime favorite of mine. Their high-rise skinnies are my favs – they stay up without squeezing my stomach uncomfortably – and nobody does the washed black rinse quite like rag & bone. Use code: BLACKFRIDAY100 for $100 off $350.
This is a new retailer, and we are OBSESSED. Verishop is like a really well-edited (read: easy to shop) version of Shopbop / Nordstrom. They have products for women, men, kids, beauty and home, and it looks literally like everything I want (or have) in my closet. They offer free 1-day shipping and free returns. I suspect this is going to become one of my go-tos. (Make sure to use code: HOLIDAY).
AHHHH West Elm is one of those places that make me want ALL THE THINGS. And their Black Friday sales are especially fun. (And dangerous. Verrrrry dangerous.) Use code GOTIME for free shipping on orders over $79.
Ok, if you don’t yet have a Nespresso, it is a GAME CHANGER. Laura swears by the Instapot, only a crazy person doesn’t want that Le Cruset dutch oven and that take-along crock pot will be MINE. Use code: EXTRA for 20% off that clearance.
And now a little something for the Pinners…
Happy shopping!! xo, S
