The Best One Piece Swimsuits For Plus Sizes

As the month’s go on, I’ve had my head deep into all things swimwear. You can check out our full Swim Guide for 2024 to see (and make sure to keep checking back — I’m updating it as more swim drops throughout the months). I’ve dived into swimwear for allll different categories — the suits we’re eyeing in all different styles, all-black swimsuits we’re excited about, modest swim options and now I’m here for one-piece swimsuits for the plus size babes.

Our Top Picks For Plus Size One-Piece Swimsuits

Finding plus size swim is a bit better than year’s past, but there’s still room for improvement in this department. I’m so happy with the suits I did find, though, and have some ideas for where to find the very best of the best plus size swim. SKIMS, Good American, Old Navy, Target and ELOQUII are doing a pretty dang good job of giving us the suits we actually want. Anthro is getting there and J.Crew has great options, but I’d like to see more representations of plus size bodies, J.Crew! Now, I digress.

Let’s get into the good stuff.

1. Beach Riot Mica One-Piece Swimsuit

At Anthropologie

Shana recently tried out this suit and although she personally didn’t love it against her skin tone, we thought it was still so freakin’ cute. Minus the coloring on her skin, she thinks the Beach Riot collab with Anthro is great. I have to agree — that sunburst pattern and those warm tones are so good and I love the slight ruching.

2. ELOQUII Twist Halter Swimsuit with Underwire Detail

This is the suit I keep coming back to. It’s just so dang gorgeous. ELOQUII specializes in clothes for plus size bodies, so they just get it. Their swimsuits are kinda like works of art. Crossing my fingers that by May, they’ll have a bunch of new ones. I’m way too excited to see.

3. Good American Whip Stitch Compression Swimsuit

At Good American | At Nordstrom

Good American is one of the ‘straight’ sizing brands that also carry options up to 5x. Round of applause. Their suits are definitely on the sexier side and lean a little cheeky, but I find myself itching to try out this specific whip stitch one. It’s simple but the whip stitch gives it a little extra somethin‘.

4. J.Crew Matte Ruched One-Piece Swimsuit

At J.Crew

I do love a J.Crew suit (they’re so well made) and I’m beyond happy that their sizing goes up to a 24. My only complaint is that I want to see this on a plus size model. Pleaaaase. But back to the suit —  the ruching, the sweetheart neckline, removable straps and the fun range of colors…10/10.

5. SKIMS Signature Swim Zip Front Sleeveless One Piece

I’m so interested to try out SKIMS swimsuits. They look super well made, and I’m happy to see that this one is made of 78% recycled material. As for the way they look — contemporary but wearable and really just…cool.

6. Andie Swim Plus Mykonos One-Piece

At Anthropologie

Something about this suit is speaking to me. Normally, I’d go for a skinnier strap, but a little shoulder coverage is SO nice for the hot, beaming sun. It also just kinda looks like a pretty top you can wear with jeans. Bonus points because it’s Andie swim (and we love Andie swim).

7. Adore Me Women’s Margaret One Piece Swimwear

At Target

Okaaay, Target. This looks a lot like the beloved crotchet Becca suit, but half the price. I’m loving the full-coverage with the skin peaking out so it’s not too full-coverage for my personal taste.

8. Old Navy Shine Wrap-Front Swimsuit

At Old Navy

Because I’ve been a bit metallic-shiny-things-obsessed, I obviously needed to include this. A plain black suit but with a sparkly twist? Of course I’m in! Love that you can adjust the tie-waist, too.

9. SKIMS Signature Swim Scoop Neck One Piece

I had to include another SKIMS suit in a barbie pink because it’s the year of the Barbie movie and I am alllll about it. If you prefer suits that don’t cut too low on the legs because you feel it shortens you a bit, try this guy. I find that the higher cut can give my legs some length.

10. Andie Swim Plus Amalfi One-Piece

At Anthropologie

Duhhh, another great Andie swimsuit but in a bright red. Because is it really summer if at least one person on the beach isn’t wearing their ultimate Bay Watch suit? Nope. It’s sexy, but still understated enough that I wouldn’t feel too ‘out there’.

11. Adore Me Andria One-Piece

At Macy’s

I did a little perusing on Macy’s site, and was pleasantly surprised by this suit. The neckline is gorgeous and I love that little cut-out. Something about the way those seams are lined up under the boobs is doing something for me. I think me (and the ‘girls’) would feel really good in this one.

12. CUPSHE Twisted Halter One Piece Swimsuit

At Target

I’ve been loving on this bright blue color, so I couldn’t resist this CUPSHE suit. Besides the price point ($37!), I like the little twist detail and neckline.

Happy almost April!

Danielle — easily — wins the most helpful award in almost every category. While her background is Design & Merchandising, she has become the TME jack of all trades, working on our website design, infrastructure and graphic design, in addition to writing articles. A lover of neutrals, she manages to come up with seriously cool outfits using basic wardrobe staples, is a whiz at distilling trends, and — thanks in part to her own style — is a natural at making practical outfits more interesting.

  1. Greta roundup! I applaud TME team for featuring more extended sizes but it would be even cooler than to have all shapes and sizes seamlessly woven into lots of posts, not just specific “plus size” posts. As a size 14 gal myself, it actually makes me feel shamed/worse when I see one “plus size pick” in the weekend newsletters. Just include it without a special introduction as a lovely option for beautiful ladies! Just some food for thought from a long time reader. Thanks for your consideration!
