We recently re-designed a corner of our Philly office to liven it up & provide a pretty photoshoot area… but it quickly turned into a super-freaking-cozy oasis of sorts that we wanted to cuddle up in on the regular (reminder: this is our working office, haha). How did this happen? I have 1 guess: all of the Wayfair additions.
I grabbed some pieces that I knew would make our peaceful corner of the office as lounge-worthy and as welcoming as possible:
- a pretty floor lamp (overhead lighting can be a bit too bright)
- a small side table for stacking books or plants (and holding many, many coffees)
- a pretty pot (for said plants)
- something soft & warm like throw pillows to pull it all together

Add A Personality Light
Looking at cool floor lamps is one of my favorite activities because I think they can really transform a room. This lamp I chose was my fave (and the price was outstanding). The bulbs skew warm which is my favorite type of lighting & the step-button mayyy just be the best part. Or wait, this lamp required about 2 minutes of assembly time. Maybe that* is the best part. Adorable design + so much ease. A+

Make It Useful
The more surfaces the better, in my opinion. I loved this little wooden table because of its unique shape and gorgeous dark brown color (it also comes in a lighter wood and black). It’s the perfect height to throw next to a chair (or even bedside, actually) and has just enough room for a few essentials; books, kindle, plant, mug, notebook, jewelry dish, whatever. (Huge pro: this thing took 5 minutes to assemble.)

Bring In Some Life
Plants not only filter the air but also provide a sense of calm + happiness. It’s true!! Just remember to water those bad boys and put them in a really freaking cute pot so it’s hard to ignore them haha. I loved this sweet blue one – also comes in white, gray and nougat.

Cozy It Up
This one goes without saying – and is the most necessary. Your space NEEDS to be comfy, cozy & inviting. Stale, cold offices (or any spaces, for that matter) are in the past. Bring all that comfort in!!! I love mixing prints/colors of pillows for a little bit of fun & interest. These pillow covers were both under $30 and are reeeally good quality. Currently looking for more to add…..
