Weekly Favorite Finds In Home Decor 2.15


Here’s hoping we’re all still feeling more LOVE. The season I love most is the one where you can be outside most of the time, in the fewest layers, see the most sun, and can grow things in a garden. That must be what’s on my wishful mind these days as I’m realizing now that my favorite finds this week are all pointing in the direction of gardens inside and out, planters, natural materials and happy walls.

Spring and summer are seemingly distant dreams as I sit here looking out my window knowing that it’s currently 16 degrees. Exact temperature isn’t typically a major interest of mine, but I checked when I noticed how the steam was moving from all the rooftops. It just moves differently when it’s this cold. So we may as well just stay warm and distract ourselves with the long weekend sales.

Or we can cheat the season a bit with this adorable micro garden. It’s basically the Nespresso machine of container gardens: you pop in a pod of your choice, and voila, edible herbs grow.

My favorites of the weekend sales are the ones where prices are as low as they get approximately 2-3 times per year, especially for larger items, and THIS particular weekend, is one of those times. 1/ Planter on Stand | Available in 8 color ways and 5 sizes, and most of them are also on sale right now! I prefer when indoor plants do not sit directly on the floor, and this is a great solution for that situation.

2/ Cup Planter | Easy to love, comes in multiple sizes and colors, will last forever and groups well for container gardening.

3/ Privacy Screen |Privacy screens, like this one, powder coated in all the fun colors, in whatever exact size you happen to need, are a great way to divide space in a small garden where neighbors are super-close and sunshine is precious.

4/ Door Stopper | Love this door stopper! We have all sorts of fun things around here stopping doors, but my favorites are the soft ones, that I can slide with my foot. And stripes make everything better.

5/ Indoor Microgreen/Herb Garden | So fun, so easy, and you can eat what you grow on your own counter!

6/ Story Planter | Available in two sizes, cousin of our favorite Story bookshelf, not inexpensive…but if you consider how organized, and efficient so many plants can be, this is a great investment piece especially if you are trying to work a lot of green into a relatively compact space.

7/ Sun Burst BookCase | What’s more fun than a bookcase in this shape and material? Fantastic accent piece!

8/ Caned Rattan Planter | Technically it’s a beautiful planter. But do you see how it can be so much more? Also a great cubby/catch space for all kinds of things especially in an entryway.

9/ Cloud Print | The piece of art I fell most in love with while distracted on Etsy this week. Something about the blue of the sky and the cumulous clouds just has so much depth. It’s just dreamy gorgeous.

10/ Wooden Wall Art | Large, geometric, wood, beautiful and a reasonable price. Great way to add depth, and to soften a large wall that needs some love.
