This week especially, our hearts are with the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. If you haven’t read this great post by Lex & team, go check it out. And you’d like to support the AAPI community in other ways, our team also pulled together this list of helpful resources.
Despite all that’s on our minds, I hope our Sales Report can offer up a momentary distraction for those who may be looking for it. Hang in there, everybody.
Really Good Denim, Sneakers, Sandals & Cute Spring Things, All On Sale
The sales are extra exciting this week (and still going strong!!) so I’ll shout out a few worth noting: Colleen Rothschild is doing BOGO 50% off sitewide, Saks Friends & Family Event is going on all weekend (see Linzi’s post here), Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty is SO fun. Follow along with us on IG to see Amy’s picks of the weekend, and finally, Gap is also doing a Friends & Family Sale with 40% off everything (Laura’s finds here.)
We’re also finding ALL the hidden gems at Saks Off 5th lately — and now I’m finding myself browsing their site almost daily. All of our favorite designers are on there for less, like these J/Slides sandals for less than $50 (pictured above). I need them.

Happy Weekend, everyone!! I am EXTRA excited today because Zack and I are getting our first vaccine shot! We have to drive three hours to get it, but hey–I’ll take it! I’m also excited because we have almost zero snow right now…in March! Last year this time the deck was FULL of layers of ice and snow but this year it’s already clear. And since our chairs from the patio set we’ve used for years are finally falling apart, I just ordered this patio set that’s $100 off (it has great reviews)…and I got another $50 off with code WICKER50. Woot Woot! Here are the rest of the sales that caught my eye:

This weekend is officially spring, people!! Even though the weather can still do anything it wants here in Michigan, when that calendar marks the start of the spring season, I celebrate (but we are getting some lovely weather, too). I truly always feel like a bear crawling out of it’s den after hibernation — and right now this bear is heading straight for some spring sales.
Anthro is hosting a “step into spring” sale for this weekend only — with 20% off nearly everything (even works on sale items)! So while I’m eyeing up their normal sale section, I’m also adding this super cute t-shirt dress in my cart to score that 20% sitewide discount. ALSO, if you need new cookware or have been thinking about the Always Pan by Our Place, you can score a discount right now with the code: SHOPSTYLE10 — my husband and I just cooked a ton of his Persian family recipes in ours last week, and it’s the best pan ever!! Happy Weekend, Xx
A quick thank you to Lex for putting together the thoughtful write-up yesterday regarding supporting our Asian American Pacific Islander communities and friends. If you missed it, check it out here.
The sales for me this week are all about Nordstrom and Saks, and their selection of MOTHER denim and FRAME tops. Saks is running their 25% off Friends & Family Event and Nordstrom is price-matching, but stock is changing quickly, so I linked below to some of my favorite pieces and where they have the most sizing availability. I’m wearing a lot of sale pieces and rounded up a bunch of other really pretty tops in my Saks Friends & Family post and Gorgeous Tops post this week. Speaking of gorgeous tops, check out this one from Black-owned business lemlem that’s marked down from $295 to $118. Wow! Add a beautiful straw bag and it would work perfectly in my go-to flares, tall shoes, fabulous top formula for summer.

We’re coming to the end of our spring break, and honestly, I have no idea how I managed to homeschool for most of 2020. Mama is tired. I have been living in my new Madewell MWL AiryTerry Hoodie (so soft) and Athleta Salutation Joggers, so they’ve been keeping me cozy as I attempt to wrangle my feral children.
But on a serious note, my heart is also heavy with the hate crime we witnessed against AAPI in Atlanta. I hope everyone can take a moment to read the roundup of our favorite Asian-owned restaurants in the country, especially Lex’s gorgeous opening paragraphs. I found myself nodding along with everything she wrote. I’d love to highlight a Filipina American-owned jewelry business, Milk & Honey, which donates 20% of profits to anti-human trafficking organizations in the US and around the world. I’m thinking of all AAPIs this week, especially my best friends, Gela & Patrice, two strong, proud, Filipino women. I hope I can continue to be the ally they and so many others need us to be.

Hey, Friday. I am out of anything clever or quippy right now for ya, so I’ll just get to it. Need a slightly more springy version of those shearling-lined Birks we all love? These J/Slides on sale for $60. I have and love them! Also, other top pick is this utility jacket from Banana Republic that looks like my Anine Bing jacket from my recent post. So cute and 40% off. Ooh and cute face masks on sale are always a good idea…as is this shimmery, gorgeous easy eyeshadow from The Lip Bar for a springy/summery refresh. Hope y’all are up to something fun this weekend! I jolted awake this morning realizing I need to trim back the hydrangea bush…this is adulthood I guess. Haha. Lordy. Now for more coffee…happy weekend! xo

TGIF. Ooph. Long week for me. Tornado warnings yesterday had me herding children and dogs into our closet, which thankfully only lasted a few moments…because the rough weather thankfully missed us. There’s nothing more ominous than the sound of a tornado siren going off! I am so thankful to have calm weather today (and children back in school, more importantly).
My Style Brain has now moved into spring and I want everything light, bright, fresh + breezy (and that extends to home goods, too). On that note, that’s essentially all I have included in my roundup below! Look at those cheery, color poppin’ Daisy Sandals… Cheers, Cams
Julieta’s Sale Picks
Hola from Colombia. One of my younger sisters got married last weekend, and I’m still processing that she’s a married woman. But I’m so happy with my new brother-in-law. I often joke she went on a site and specified what she wanted in a man, and BOOM. On another note, it’s been tough to balance wanting to enjoy our stay with work (my husband and I have our own businesses, so vacation time gets blurry), helping our second grader with remote schooling, and a 4-year-old who needs attention and playtime. I cried today out of pure frustration. But we’re making the best of it as we’re lucky to get to see our loved ones and be here for a while.
Now sales!!!! Anthropologie has 20% off EVERYTHING! and I want to use it to get a new piece by Brazilian brand Farm Rio, like this sweater set, pajama set, or this toucan print dress. Stay tuned for a full roundup of their amazing pieces.

Hey hey, Friday. Another strangely demoralizing week for the record books. I finally put a few thoughts about the recent surge in violence against AAPI into an Instagram post yesterday — and then promptly put my phone away and escaped into a supper of these Vegan Grits Bowls with Roasted Sweet Potatoes and Tomatoes and 4 hours of the new Justice League movie. And lemme tell ya…4 hours is a lot of any movie, but this one felt especially self-indulgent. (We also paused the movie an hour in to floss popcorn out of our teeth. So yeah, Laura, I see your hydrangeas and raise you a mid-blockbuster Glide session. Ha.)
Adidas has loads of fun things on sale this week. These high-tops look like the three-way lovechild of Adidas, Tretorns and Converse and feel so classically cool — and only $54. And if you missed my sneak peek on stories, I finally got into those Gap girlfriend jeans — and they are so similar to my most-worn rag & bone Dres, with a just baaaarely higher rise, but the same hip-slung slouch and high-end, non-distressed wash. Super flattering and a welcome change from high-waisted and/or skinny jeans. Marked down this weekend to $37ish and SO worth a try. Fit is true to size.
Oh, and if you’re looking for more ways to support the AAPI community, please check out our roundup of Asian-American owned restaurants, featuring all of our favorite eateries nationwide. (Lex wrote such a lovely intro, too — and I’m just so proud to be a part of this ever-evolving team that is dedicated to so much more than “staying in our lane.”) And on a related note, my fellow food blogger Betty Lui just published her first cookbook, My Shanghai, (also on Amazon), and it is an absolutely stunning way to bring the authentic flavors of Chinese cuisine (not to mention gorgeous photography) into your home. Cheers, friends.

It’s finally spring break and I am beyond EXCITED!!!! I will be traveling for the first time in what feels like forever, and am taking a road trip up to Moab tomorrow! We are glamping baby, we are glamping! I am staying in this ultra-luxe tent called Under Canvas that is stunning, and I can’t wait to get outta town! Clearly, all of my exclamations are an indicator of just how happy I am.
This week’s sales are reasons to be excited, too. Everything at Anthro is 20% off right now, and the citrus PJ set I have been raving about is included in the sale too. I am also swooning over these gorgeous Marc Fisher wedges that are perfect for spring and only $35! Cheers to a great weekend y’all! XX
’til next week,
