Happy Friday!

In case you missed it, we did a little Best Of What’s Left from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale yesterday. Those pieces are still on sale through Sunday night.

Now that the #NSale is basically behind us, we’re back to our normal programming. You can expect lots of good Labor Day sales coverage from us next week and weekend. What are you guys shopping for?

But today, we should probably talk about this incredibly chic & comfy-looking black tank dress (thanks for the find, Em!). Perfect for those end-of-summer weekends then pop a cardigan over top for fall.  Voilà!

We have plenty of great finds just like that one below, so keep on scrollin’…

Em’s Sale Picks

Happy Friday, friends! Just when I thought we dodged a bullet with all the smoke from local fires, we woke up to a strange fog-smoke-hybrid situation that has the air quality index at unprecedented levels — like 400+ — (now I know how our poor briskets feel in the Traeger), so we’re looking at a weekend of cooped-up fun. My neighbor pal and I might have impulse-ordered a henna tattoo kit the other day (it may or may not have been spurred along by guava margaritas), so I think we’re looking at an afternoon of Junior Ink Masters, heaven help us all.

Sales are solid this weekend, even as the Anniversary Sale winds down and Labor Day Sales wind up. J.Crew has 35% off lots of new fall pieces with code FALLISH — meaning these leopard leggings are finally on sale! — and rag & bone’s crazy surplus sale is in its last hours — with free shipping and returns. Totally eyeing this tote (which is similar to the tote I missed in the NSale, but with an even more functional inside pocket) and these black Nina skinnies are $86, normally $195. Oh, and speaking of rag & bone, if you missed the Dre Slim Boyfriend Jeans in the Nordstrom Sale, Bloomie’s has them in a lighter wash with just enough distressing on sale for even less, lots of sizes still available (TTS). Have a great weekend, folks.

Ozzie turns two this Sunday!! I was going to have a Daniel Tiger-themed birthday party, but the shark decorations were much cheaper, so…shark birthday, it is! (And by “party,” I mean we’ll decorate, have cake and be together…thankfully my kids are both young enough that that’s enough for now.) I asked him how old he was going to be the other day. “Old,” he said. I agree–didn’t I just give birth? (I’ll claim postpartum for a few more years at least.)

On the sale side of things, my most recent package from Nordstrom included some last-minute Anniversary Sale purchases–like these gold & tan mules that I love (they’re super comfy and the color is surprisingly versatile) and these sexy red pumps some of you guys saw on Facebook (thanks for talking me into them!). And in other sale news, the Julian backpack we all love is over $100 off (in a gorgeous brown–but also in black,) and this jacket that’s 35% off is on its way to me (reviewers LOVE it). Also, I’m obsessed with these earrings . . . it doesn’t matter that I’m not going anywhere fancy anytime soon because they’re just that cool (like those pumps, right??). Happy weekend, everyone!

Laura’s Sale Picks

Hey, Friday. How are we at the weekend again? We’re slowly (gah, slowly) gearing up for virtual school starting next week, and I’m just…can summer just go on forever? Having trouble getting motivated to do anything these days — including getting Sienna’s space all set up for…failure…haha I mean school. I used to be SUCH a rule follower, but I think once I hit my forties I have fully embraced my Aquarian rebellious side. I remain positive but will also be breaking the rules this year by NOT OVERDOING IT WITH SCHOOL. We’re only dealing with 2nd grade so I fully recognize this luxury, but sheesh. Could it not just be a pass/fail year? K thx.

Sales, though. Sales I remain fully positive about right now because there are some really good things out there to snap up. Top picks are all the sweaters from J.Crew — this adorable lightweight sweater, this cute ivory cabled sweater and this camel sweater coat (use code FALLISH at J.Crew for 35% off!) — this very cute pj set that came back in stock from the Gap, and my favorite Cosmic pants from Athleta that are still on sale and well-stocked! Here’s to keeping it real, friends. Have a great weekend. xo

Linzi’s Sale Picks

I am in FULL nesting mode this week. School supplies, work stations, closet clean-outs…and all the things that are helping me feel like I have control over SOMETHING…anything, really. I totally recognize that my incessant organizing of pencils is beyond useless, but it’s helping my mental health…so I’m going with it. I’ve taken a break from most clothes shopping this week to focus on the search for new lunchboxes (for quick outside lunch breaks with friends), new magical spill-proof water tumblers that have straws for everyone’s work stations, and Baby Groot pencil holders (it’s important we all have these, right??).

I did, however, take a look at the clothing sales this morning, and there are some good ones. I’m featuring this cardigan, which is an additional 30% off sale price, in our weekend newsletter, but sizes keep popping in and out, so I’m nervous it’s going to sell out before you guys see it. Madewell, in general, has really good sales on so many cute (but comfortable) pieces for fall (and you can add an additional 30% off the SALE price with code GIVEME30.) Okay…now back to pencil organizing…those pencils aren’t going to get sorted on their own, guys.

Kat’s Sale Picks

Well, I am excited to report that I survived an entire week of in-person learning with 100+ students who were all wearing masks and socially distanced outside. I have some serious mixed emotions about how the week went, and TBH, I’m finding the readjustment back to the new normal to be a bit of a challenge. I am an extrovert by nature, and now I find myself not wanting to be around people. If you read my recent blog on my website, I write about how I’ve been an anxious basket case and am working to find ways to cope with so much change so quickly. Change fatigue is a challenge, and it’s something that we are all experiencing as our world evolves faster than ever. Let’s just say, I am looking forward to a little less stress and my favorite way to zone out is through retail therapy!

This week’s sales are still great, and I am so excited for some of the new things I will be trying very soon. HSN isn’t something I talk about often, but my Grama likes to send me goodies from there. When I learned that one of my favorite inclusive fitness bloggers, FittywithBrittty, launched her Wvvy Activewear line through HSN, I knew I needed to try some things out! I am stoked that this Wvvy jumpsuit is on sale, and I am in love with these leggings. I also just ordered this J.Crew fall jacket that gives me all the Barbour jacket vibes for a fraction of the cost! I am looking forward to a weekend of rest and hope you all have a good one, too!
