Anyone else living in sweaters these days? S swiped this Vince white cable knit during the #NSale, but now it’s back in stock and 45% off — score! The image on the model does not do it justice; the length is actually shorter (but not cropped), perfect for tucking into some fav jeans. Nothing says Happy Holidays like a fabulous red lip…and this ultra-moisturizing lipstick from Bobbi Brown is 50% off over at Nordstrom! I love it, reviewers love it…you will too. It’s the best lipstick for winter because of the moisturizing formula. (I suggest Parisian Red — perfect for the holidays!) While you’re there, try out this Pumpkin Enzyme Mask from Peter Thomas Roth. It’s one of our favorites (check out the rave reviews) and it’s on sale now…would make a great gift!

Speaking of gifts, I’ve gotta get on the wrapping situation…there are gifts stashed all over the house, and I can no longer keep track of all the hiding places. (The kids have already found a few. 😬)  My go-to has always been brown paper (it can be used year-round) wrapped with some cool ribbons or twine…this set basically has everything I want! Happy Friday, everyone!

I’m a little fried on big ticket Black Friday and Cyber week sales, so this week I found myself browsing some smaller items that would be great for gifting. Tons of fun little guys on sale. A bunch of pieces from my fav jewelry designer SOKO **Black-Owned-Business**  are on sale, and I think this would be SUCH a great gift as well. I would definitely love to receive one! Mine are old and gross and I use these types of bags to hold all sorts of things—not just for travel.

The family is going to try and do some skiing this weekend, and I’m thinking I may need this cute, cute hat to wear while waiting for my crew (I’ll be the hot chocolate holder this year due to my ACL surgery). Happy weekend, everyone.

Hey-o, Friday. I’m back! And can I just say I forgot how truly magical Disney World really is! We had a phenomenal time there last week…geeking out in Galaxy’s Edge (my fam are major Star Wars nerds), dining at the Beast’s castle (turns out the gray stuff IS delicious!) and riding all the rides our legs could possibly stand in line for (Avatar & Rise of the Resistance were our very favs!) It has taken me days to recover from the magic (OK, mostly from all the walking and standing in line…we are a family who prides itself in doing ALL the things…we’re not exactly relaxing to travel with, but we are FUN!)

And because I’m well versed in my family’s travel habits, I planned a couple of days of chill time in St. Petersburg for the three of us to decompress. Turns out St. Pete is really lovely! Great food and the Dalí museum was amazing! (You can see a little Reel on my IG.) I don’t know what I’m into right now besides coats and cozy things, so this and this (just ordered) are my top picks this week! Glad to be back. Xo

My best friend is coming in tonight from Ohio for a 10-day stay, and I couldn’t be more pumped. Even though we just hosted our parents for the holiday, it’s always fun having some new energy in the house. She’s the ideal house guest — totally chill, goes with the flow, and is fun to cook with, too. Before she flies in tonight, we’re hitting up our little hometown holiday parade (it’s Hallmark Channel-level cute) — and then later this weekend we’re taking Lana to the Mystery Spot for the first time. Such a nostalgic, Northern California thing that I loved as a kid (and, even as an adult, it’s still kind of a trip).

I’m not gonna lie — I’m kinda burned out after last weekend’s sales, but there’s still some good stuff to be had out there that I just can’t ignore. Saks Off 5th has my Staud bucket bag in a cool navy marked way down, and these classic Vince slip-ons are on mega discount (under $100) at Nordstrom Rack. Well-stocked, too. Nothing ground-breaking or particularly exciting, but those evergreen purchases always tend to be some of my faves in the long run. Happy weekend! — Em

We’re finally in December, which means I’ve officially had my holiday decor up for a month LOL. (No shame in my game). I just got these sticks to make my artificial trees smell like Christmas and they are impressive. Strong, but not overwhelming.

I’m also currently very into the half-zip trend. This cozy half-zip is still on sale, TTS and super cozy. Also eyeing this number from J.Crew, which is on sale as well. Tis the season for duvet-chic y’all!

Have a fab. weekend and chag sameach to everyone celebrating Hanukkah!

Happy December! We’re in full holiday season swing now, and I definitely treated myself to a box of fancy chocolates this week, just because. This time of year can often slip right past me while I am too busy…doing, well I don’t know what, things that don’t matter probably. So this year I’m making a point to slow down, say no (and move all those random to-dos to January), and cuddle with my baby in Christmas PJ’s, while also making a mental note to drink hot cocoa as many nights as possible. I even purchased a large tub of my favorite eye patches for some at home spa vibes (here’s some individual packs instead if you want to try them out, on sale + highly recommend). And while my gift shopping is actually finished, I rounded up sale picks that would be wonderful for both yourself and any gifting you need to get done. Cheers!

In my therapy today, my whole life became clearer. We realized that one of the big elephants in the room is my distractedness and probably undiagnosed ADHD. It could be neurological, or an effect of all the trauma lived at such a young age, maybe both. So for the first time in my life, I’m going to address my inner battle and take action to help my brain. On another note, we went to see Ruben Blades (OG salsa artist) and wow! Best concert ever.

A pair of black washed skinny jeans are one of my staples all winter, and these look so good. Hudson Jeans has a great fit.

Kat’s Sale Picks

Hellooooo December! It’s beginning to feel a whole lot like I live in CA these days because the weather here has been so warm and we have yet to have a true snow fall. Even though I definitely took advantage of the Black Friday sales, I still have no one checked off my Christmas presents list. I did however manage to snag these for myself and I am in LOVE; you can peep them on my IG stories! So this week I am on the hunt for some gifts that I am going to have shipped directly back to Wisco. In part, I have yet to secure any gifts, because all of my family hasn’t got a clue what they would like. When I asked Miles what he wanted for Christmas, he responded “Love, joy and happiness” gotta love the Gen Z mentality! So for now I’ll keep searching.

Jess’ Sale Picks

Happy December everyone! Heading to my hometown of Chicago this weekend to see friends and family. I’ve been missing big city life for so long, so I’m excited to get back to one of my favorite cities. ALSO, a l’il random, but is anyone else watching Succession?? We’ve been obsessed with this show for a while now, but I’m not sure how I feel about the latest season’s direction. Any thoughts?

But back to what we’re really here to talk about: sales, sales and more sales. I stuck close to home (aka Nordstrom) since they are still promising before Christmas arrivals on many of their items and just ordered these Madewell Crossover waist jeans because I’ve been wanting to try this trend for a while now and the under $100 price tag can’t be beat. Also, J.Crew is having a huge sale right now where they are offering 40% off a ton of their items with the CODE: FESTIVE. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

  1. Julieta, I’ve had the Drybar double shot for about a week. Can’t speak to durability, obviously, but it’s the best home blowout I’ve ever given myself. I have shoulder length fine hair (getting finer as I age- would love a mom edit post on that!) and can get it dry and silky in under 10 minutes. I also did my girls, who have very long and luxuriously thick hair—got them pretty close to dry in about 25 minutes. I will note that it is bigger than I expected and its size makes it *almost* unwieldy- if you have especially small hands you might want to get the single shot instead, I think it’s smaller.

Love Ruben Blades! I’ve seen him live twice, including once in Prospect Park in NYC- magical!
