Hey, Gang – ready to get really STRONG, safely?

In partnership with personal trainer Laurel Card, ISSA – CPT, we created two four-week, beginner-friendly weightlifting series for all ages. This program may be designed for beginners, but make no mistake—we’re going to lift heavy (or, rather, work up to lifting heavy) and truly reap the benefits (for more about the benefits of weight-lifting over 40 plus tips for getting started, see here).

This series is open to everyone, but it’s especially geared to women over the age of 40. Why? Because, personally, weightlifting has been a game-changer. Not only has it helped ease our menopause symptoms, but it’s made us feel stronger in every sense of the word. I move with more confidence—whether I’m skiing, hiking, or just tackling everyday life—because I trust my body to keep up. I’m more balanced, my mood is better, and for the first time in years, that slow (and seriously stubborn) weight creeping around my middle has finally stalled.

If you’re new to lifting (don’t worry—we all were), start with the YouTube videos below. Once you’ve learned the moves (or if you’re already comfortable with weights), check out our quick-start PDF guide. In addition to workouts, it includes some of our team’s favorite pre- and post-workout recipes, plus equipment recommendations and other helpful tips.

If you’re just looking for something fun and different, we also have some Bachata partnering tutorials, as well as some dance workouts, too (scroll to the bottom).
