I remember putting on QVC when I lived alone to listen to the upbeat salespeople talk for some background noise. Although I definitely don’t need any sort of background noise anymore (hi, kids!), I still love to listen to them once in a while — they’re just so positive and happy and I love that.
Dyson Cordless Vacuums, Makeup Sets & More Reasons To Shop QVC
But you know what’s even better than listening to the hosts talking? The deals! Really — once I started including them in my go-to shopping sites, I found that QVC often has deals that are better than any other retailer out there. Their special prices on makeup sets alone (like this trio of mascaras for less than the price of two at regular price) are insanely good deals to take advantage of (you also can get $5 off your first order with the code WELCOME or $10 off your second order with the code HELLO10). Here are some of my favorites…
IT Cosmetics, Benefit & tarte: QVC Has Makeup Sets At Great Prices
Not only can you find awesome prices on sets from brands like tarte and Benefit, but my favorite — IT Cosmetics. I love IT Cosmetics (Innovative Technology Cosmetics) and I find the story behind it fascinating. The brand was founded in 2008 by Jamie Lima, a woman who worked as a TV news anchor and struggled with covering her rosacea. She wanted to create full-coverage makeup that didn’t crack or crease and so IT Cosmetics was born. It first launched on QVC in 2008 and sold out in minutes. She used people of all ages to show how well her products worked and viewers loved it. In fact, it was SO successful that L’Oréal bought it in 2016 and Jamie became the first female CEO of any L’Oréal brand in 108 years. (Talk about glass ceilings!!)
Aside from that awesome story, the products themselves are the reason I fell in love with the brand in the first place, and QVC always has great deals on bundles from them. This one includes their bronzer, blush, and a super-soft brush for over $45 less than what you’d pay for them separately. The bronzer adds a pretty warmth to the skin without looking orange and the blush is ombre — so you can use the lighter shade or the deeper shade depending on the look you’re going for.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Bronzer and Ombre Blush w/ Luxe Brush ($58.25, $106 value)
I also love their CC Cream & Bye Bye Pores Powder. You can get both (plus a dual-ended foundation brush) at QVC for less than half what you’d pay separately at other stores. The CC cream is a full-coverage foundation (that doesn’t crease) and hydrating anti-aging serum with SPF 50+. The powder is talc-free and sets the CC cream beautifully without feeling cakey. This is my regular go-to foundation right now because it just makes my skin look better. It leaves a pretty glow, and the serum is really hydrating on my dry winter skin.
IT Cosmetics IT’s Your Most Beautiful Skin Essentials 3-Piece Set ($54.50, $127 value)
This is a great primer that hydrates and smooths your skin so it looks better whether you’re wearing makeup over it or not–but if you are, it will go on smoother and last longer because of this primer.
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Primer Duo ($44.64, $78 value)
I LOVE this mascara! It gives such good volume because of the brush that’s perfect for building volume. It lets you get right to the base of your lashes and covers from root to tip. It’s smudge-proof, water-resistant and long-lasting. (And it’s one of my favorites for dramatic lashes.)
Benefit Cosmetics BADgal BANG! Mascara Trio (3 for $49, usually $25 each)
This concealer is best-selling for a reason. It works wonders at covering under eye dark circles and can be used as a primer on lids before applying shadows or liners. The trick to flawless application is the sponge; get it damp and then use it to blend a small amount from under your eyes along the sides of your nose and out towards the temples (like a triangle). (If it creases, you’re probably using too much!)
tarte Shape Tape Concealer Duo with Sponge ($37, $70 value)
So obviously QVC has some amazing deals on makeup…but they also pretty much have everything else at great prices too. Which brings me to the BEST DEAL at QVC this month: this Dyson…
Another Reason To Shop QVC? The Dyson V8 Absolute Pro Cordless Vacuum
There’s life before Dyson, and there’s life after getting a Dyson. And life with a Dyson is much easier than life without one. I cringe to think how often I used to vacuum the apartment I lived in before Zack and I got married — not. much. I had a big heavy thing that you had to lug around, pull out the cord (I can’t tell you how many times that cord slapped me when I hit the retract button), change the bag (it always smelled like dog) and it was just overall a huge pain in the butt. I lived alone, though…life with a husband and kids is a lot messier. Like needing to vacuum four to five times a day messy. If I had to bust that giant thing out every time I needed it…well, let’s be honest, I’d probably just never put it away. But this Dyson is so easy, portable, lightweight…all the things. I literally don’t know what we’d do without it.
This lightweight, cordless Dyson is hands-down the best vacuum we’ve ever used (I say “we,” but Zack does most of the vacuuming around here and he’s raved about how good it is since day one–he even called his parents and talked them into getting one!). I love it because it couldn’t be easier…we have it mounted to the wall where it charges and have all of the attachments in a bin like this for whenever we need them.
It comes with two cleaner heads–one with bristles to remove dirt from the carpet and one that’s a soft roller head to remove large debris and fine dust at the same time (we LOVE that one on the hardwood floors because it makes them so much shinier). There’s also a mini motorized tool (we love using it on our recliner that somehow always has crumbs on it), stiff nylon bristles to remove pet hair from furniture, a soft dusting brush we use on the TV, and a crevice tool to reach into cracks and crevices, all of which can all be used with the longer hose or without as a handheld device. And this is a really powerful vacuum…it definitely picks up everything. (But unlike that bag vacuum I used to have, if the Dyson happens to pick up an earring or something I’d be able to salvage it because of the hygienic dirt ejector that empties dust from the bin in a single action.)
Cheers to great deals and clean shiny floors!
A HUGE thank you to QVC and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post! I always love finding good deals and QVC pretty much has deals on anything I need. And thank you, Abby for the awesome pics–always such fun to work with you!
