Banana Republic’s Chic & Comfy Striped Cotton Sweater: 6 Outfit Ideas
It’s not really warm enough for true summer outfits here in Philly, but I’ve been looking for a spring-y (yet comfy) topper to throw on. This striped sweater fits the bill. I prefer it a bit shrunken, so I went with my typical size, and it’s available in a ton of colors. It’s perfect with high-rise anything, and I love the nonchalantly chic vibe. It’s an updated classic, for sure.

It’s so chic and classic that I immediately wanted to offset the preppy vibe with some seriously destroyed denim. And my all-time-favorite heels are on sale at Nordstrom Rack, so if you haven’t yet checked those out…highly recommend.

2. With Bright Sneaks (For Running Errands Now)
This is how I’ve been wearing it to the grocery store. With a mask, obvi. Also, these sneaks are insanely comfy. (Laura was RIGHT.)

3. With White Denim (& Nude Heels)
I was worried this would be too preppy for me…but I like it. It reads a little sexy, and is perfect for summer. (These Everlane jeans are nice and opaque, too — some of my fav white jeans right now.) And the heels, if you care (will we ever wear heels again??) are Naturalizer. SO. COMFY.

And THIS is how I’m currently wearing it. Casual enough to not look ridiculous with soft pants or joggers…but a little more elevated than a sweatshirt. I’d totally take a zoom call in this.

Hi Shana! How do those sneakers run size-wise?
When is the cropped top thing going to end?? I have large breasts and a very short torso, and I JUST CAN’T.
But they are so adorable on others.
Well, totally just ordered the sweater in both a size up and 2 sizes up to see which one I’d like. I don’t like fitted stuff after 3 babies and not doing anything for my weak abs muscles haha! I’m a sucker for black and white stripes and this style. Thanks for sharing the love!
