Hey friends. I love when I can come to ya with some seriously fun outfits that I really love, and that are easy on the wallet. We love being able to offer a range of price points around here, and I’m happy to report that my latest try-on session with Walmart does just that…brings you some summery updates that are fun AND reasonable! These pieces I found are all bright little refreshers for your warm-weather wardrobe and I had fun putting them together. You know me and my mostly black-jeans-loving self, but when all the spring flowers are showing me up it makes me want to put some breezy stuff on… finally!
Spring in Portland is kind of a well-kept secret. Yes, it rains, but the flowers, y’all. They’re beyond. One of my favorite neighborhoods in town is Mt. Tabor, so we headed there to check out the beauty and it did not disappoint!
It’s no surprise to you all now that I am super-picky about prints, especially animal prints. Some just read too cheesy. The one on this cute blouse though is good, y’all. The top is also lightweight and flattering. Double win. Super-cute. I love it half-tucked into these great light-wash jeans. On the jeans, I sized up since they’re so high-waisted and that was good for a comfy weekend jean, but I’m going to order my regular size for a more fitted jean. They are SO soft and remind me of a high-end pair, but they’re under $30! Love. I wound up keeping them and have worn them a lot lately.
We’ve all heard about my love/hate relationship with shorts lately, but I couldn’t resist trying on a pair with leopard print…and they’re awesome! They’re stretchy and comfy and the right length, so I don’t feel weird in them. I sized up to a medium, and while they’re just a little bit big, I feel good in them that they’re not skin tight or constricting. Yay! I’d say actual sizing runs more true to size though. Loving them with the fun yellow sandals. I’d probably throw on a denim jacket with this look, too. The leopard print has since sold out, but the black and dark denim and the red are all super-cute. I’d pair the black ones with a cool wedge sandal.
There’s something about summer approaching that makes even me want to don a flowy white top. This one is lightweight, not too flowy and not too ruffly. I love it! And yes, I’ll wear it with black jeans, too, but again, I’m loving this cropped light-wash pair with the cute woven wedge sandals.
This is definitely an everyday ‘me’ outfit, but just a little brighter for this time of year. This tee is so cute and goes along with my current rainbow stripe obsession. The gray jeans are super-soft and comfy, as are the bright fun sandals which I keep wanting to wear even though it’s still raining here. I’d say the jeans run a little big, so if you’re between sizes, size down. Tee and shoes are true to size. This bag would be great for the beach or pool or farmer’s market.

What pieces do you like to add to the mix to brighten up your wardrobe for summer? Who knew I’d be so over the moon about the sporty bright yellow sandals, but they just add such a fab pop of color to my closet of neutrals. Walmart Fashion’s current lines that highlight their We Dress America campaign are fun, on-trend and super-wearable. As you can see with all these pieces above I found, some really great stuff that was still totally ‘me.’ Some of these pieces have already become go-to’s in my closet!
We’re headed to Bend, Oregon this weekend for the holiday…it’s a really fun town in central Oregon near the mountains, in the high desert. It’s super family-friendly with great parks, food, shopping and activities. We haven’t been in years, so I’m excited to explore. Head over to my Instagram this weekend to check it out! Until next time, friends!
A huge thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post. This hometown gal is loving the super cute summery options right now that allow us to put cute outfits together at a reasonable price! As usual, all thoughts, opinions and smiley-ness is my own. And thank you so much, TME readers, for your continued support of our blog. It doesn’t go unnoticed!
