ONE: Reformation Cashmere Boyfriend Sweater – I honestly can’t decide which Reformation sweater is my favorite, but this is the one I’ve been thinking about the most. It’s thin, gorgeous, easy to tuck and perfectly oversized. The stripes (and I’m picky) are well placed and not too big but add that graphic pop I love. See my full Reformation sweater try-on here! TWO: Everlane Alpaca Rib Crew – I’ve had this lovely sweater for a while now, and it’s equally gorgeous. It’s sheer but not too thin and kinda sexy — if a crewneck can be sexy, haha. It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is here! This is the first year that I will be spending it in another country. One of my best friends and my sorority “little” from college is getting married in t-minus two days and I will be wheels up very shortly after I finish writing this. I am so excited to spend a week in Antigua, Guatemala and have packed all my warm weather favorites and gorgeous dresses and gowns that I bought from Anthropologie. I already have done quite a bit of Black Friday shopping, and my most exciting purchase is the bed frame that I have had my eye on for over a year. I fell in love with it when it was over $2,000 and now, the CB2 gorgeous bed frame of my dream is on sale for $879!!! The sales are seriously so good this year, let’s get into a few more of my sales selections.
ONE: Good American Good ’90s Jeans have been my most-worn jeans of the year. I love the baggier fit, and I think they look so good dressed up or down. Not only am I a huge fan of the GA ’90s jeans, this dress that I love is on sale too! Gotta love the 30% off sitewide!
TWO: It’s such a rarity for Jenni Kayne to go on sale, and its sitewide sale of 25% off of everything is so exciting! I personally am a huge fan of my cropped cotton cabin sweater and love how lightweight it is. It’s perfect for those of you who live in warmer climates or for those like me who run naturally hot! P.S. It also comes in a cardigan version too!

Soooo…I don’t think I’ve ever been more pumped about Black Friday sales than this year. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited for the parade, and cooking with my boys, and probably even a little surfing (77 degrees, let’s go). But THE SALES. There’s so much I want to share, so let’s just start: The only cropped jacket I’ve truly loved is on sale (with extra savings in cart), the best vacuum (esp. for animal owners) is $150 OFF, and what I believe to be the greatest of all fleece jackets can be found in a few colors on sale at Zappos, aaand a few more over at Saks.
ONE: I’ve become quite smitten with Jenni Kayne sweaters (they really are something wonderful), and I get excited when the temps dip here in San Diego, so I can cozy up in one. They’re offering 25% off sitewide, which makes it the best time of the year to make the investment. This crewneck has become a favorite. I love layering it over a white tee to have it peek out the top. The cocoon sweaters all run naturally oversized, but I still stick with a large — you know I love that extra drape.
TWO: There is so much good at Reformation, and it’s ALL 25% off. I’m a fan of almost everything (or so it feels that way), but this sweater I’m wearing (size large) was an instant favorite, and please don’t skip the perfectly drapey boyfriend sweater, either.

I don’t know why I’m so surprised at how good these sales are…but they’re much better than usual, right? Like MUCH better! A quick shout out to a few hidden-ish deals: Don’t miss Charlotte Tillbury’s sale…40% off great sets. I’m most excited about this eye trio and this pencil trio — you can select your own colors for the set. My most-worn Clare V. bag is currently on sale (whaaaat!) in the gorgeous brown weave, but it says “limited time only” so beware. This Zella favorite sneakily popped up for under $60 in Nordstrom’s sale after not being included before but “limited time only” too. And if you’re looking for reusable wrapping, these are the prettiest I’ve found and are 30% off.
One: My MOTHER puffer jacket sold out fast at Saks, but it’s on sale at MOTHER along with TONS of MOTHER jeans. I suggest filtering the jeans by size because the selection is HUGE and sizing in many styles is limited. The selection of great MOTHER and Veronica Beard denim on sale is also pretty fabulous here. The Veronica Beards above with the FRAME tee are included.
Two: My ridiculously soft Eberjey pajamas (more Eberjey styles on sale here and here ) AND my cozy Parachute bedding are BOTH on sale. If you already have Parachute’s linen bedding, I recommend trying its Turkish cotton towels. We invested in a set for the boys’ bathroom and a set for our bathroom and promptly donated all of our other towels. Parachute’s feel SO luxurious.

This is the time I make sure I fill those gaps in my family’s and my closet. Naadam (40% off) is one of my first destinations — my husband lives in its crewneck sweaters, and I want this deliciousness in Peacock. I also need jeans, and Nordstrom has Joe’s on sale which is becoming one of my favorite denim brands. I want these black bootcuts and these Mia jeans in the most amazing wash.
One: Cinq A Sept Cargo Joggers – I love how these joggers can be dressed down and up easily while always making you feel like a million bucks. I plan to wear them over a base layer with a sweater and a duster coat this winter. This beautiful copper color works as a neutral. I love to mix it with browns for my warm complexion, but style it with light or charcoal gray, and you get a cooler-toned outfit.
Two – Farm Rio is 40% off sitewide, what? My top picks are my printed button-up (above), this kaftan maxi dress I might wear for NYE, this subtly sexy dress and this outfit-making top. Holiday outfits resolved, just like that.

Hi, hi! Happy Thanksgiving week, friends! This year I’m so grateful for our family’s health + wellbeing and our two little gals. For years I genuinely wasn’t sure if we’d expand our family — it felt so whole and complete with our one little Lana-bug — but now that we have Miss Eleanor, I can’t imagine it any other way. Lana is starting to just adore the crap out of her too, which makes my heart swell right up.
Much like Laura, today I’m attempting to get ahead of the curve on the food front. We’re doing rack of lamb (I always feel like I have to apologize when I share my love of lamb, but now it’s out there in the world for all to know…), so I’m blitzing up loads of garlic with rosemary from the garden. We make it into a loose paste with olive oil, salt and pepper, and it’s beautiful in its simplicity. Also doing a dairy-free pumpkin pie (I swear by my friend Christina’s recipe for orange spice coconut pumpkin pie — it’s warm and rich, and no one ever guesses it’s dairy-free) and whipped sweet potatoes with a sweet-and-savory herbed-pecan topping to bake off tomorrow. Everything else (mashed potatoes, roasted carrots with chili + maple, and a salad of smashed cukes and white beans with loads of lemon and dill) will come together right before serving. Look at that — everything you never wanted to know about our Thanksgiving menu, ha.
Sales are, unsurprisingly, so good right now. And while I would normally feel annoyed that Black Friday sales are already taking over my inbox, instead I’m kinda grateful that we have a week or so to really dive in to sales and get a game plan together versus one harried weekend of what ends up being kinda stressful shopping. All my picks are below, but don’t forget to shop small this Saturday as well. (I shared some of my favorite local Bay Area small businesses in this post ages back. Some of the chatter around the pandemic is dated, but my love for the local businesses remains the same!)

ONE: Gap’s Shaker-Stitch Sweater and, not pictured, Shaker-Stitch Boyfriend Cardigan. I can’t overstate how much I love the quality of these 100% cotton sweaters, especially for the price. (I’m wearing the Oatmeal pullover in a small, but I just ordered the black in a medium for a little extra slouch and tuckability; the cardigan I own in an XS.) Add in a pair of barrel jeans (I just picked these up, bringing the total number of washes I now own to five), and you’re in schleppy-chic heaven.
TWO: Biossance everything. It’s offering 30% off sitewide, and,as someone who has religiously used Biossance for the past six years, I can tell you this is as good as it gets. I haven’t met a Biossance product that hasn’t worked exactly as advertised, but I’m specifically stocking up on this super-gentle, skin-clearing face wash, this uber-hydrating face cream (I hate the word supple, but there’s no other description for how it leaves your skin), and unsurprisingly, this gorgeous face oil that I credit with every compliment I’ve received on my skin in the past few years. Bonus: You get a FREE 10-piece gift with orders of $75+. Run, don’t walk.
