A&F is having a big winter sale, with one of my top fave jeans included (there are literally 1,000+ 5 star reviews on these). It also includes my shacket that I get asked about any time I show it over on the ‘gram (it’s super oversized, just how I like ‘em) and these cozy pants that multiple people are raving about on social media (+ they’re under $30). Now, in other news, am I the only one completely underwhelmed by Nordstrom’s Valentine’s Day gift guide? I say skip it and head straight for Lunya’s new sheer silk chiffon set – not on sale, but dang that’s a gift I think everyone would be pumped about, if you know what I mean! Xx

Hey, hey, Friday. We got a little sun yesterday here in Portland and I STILL have a burst of energy from it. Yay! We’re headed up to Sequim, WA this weekend on the North Coast to see Pinky’s parents and I am stoked to get out of town for a second. This is a 2nd attempt at a make-up holiday visit, pared down and with just us, but alas, still a chill lovely weekend ahead. This week, as a break from cookie baking, I made Broma Bakery’s PB Saltine Toffee Bark to carry up there…did anyone else have this growing up? The addition of peanut butter she adds is soooo good. Highly recommend it.

Well, this past Monday was “Blue Monday,” supposedly the saddest day of the year (based on absolutely no scientific evidence) and I agree. This whole week has just felt blah…too cold to even be outside but going slightly stir-crazy inside after COVID hit up our entire household. I have a crazy case of wanderlust right now and wish I had a trip planned somewhere exotic and warm where I could wear this gorgeous dress. (OMG 😍) In the meantime, these mittens are 100% worth every penny (and they’re on sale!) because they keep my hands WARM despite the crazy cold temps here–and they don’t get wet in the snow.

I think it’s safe to say I’m officially in nesting mode. I’m about halfway through our closets, over-researching all the storage solutions and purging like there’s no tomorrow. I’m also finally stocking up on the baby stuff I swore we wouldn’t need this time – because apparently, the last time I purged, I donated waaaaaaay more than I thought. (As in…I found all of two newborn onesies when I dug through Lana’s old clothes. TWO.) So, scooping up a few basics (we went with these side-snap onesies this time – the reviews are swell and I love the neutral hues), and I bought a fresh pair of The Best Nursing Pads Ever In Existence. Seriously, these things are like clouds on your nips, they never get cold or funky, they’re naturally antimicrobial and absorbent as heck. (I use the Small Ekstra.) Six weeks to go, but it’s starting to feel like the home stretch.
Sales this week! Excited for Abercrombie’s big discounts (this teddy coat is down to $64!); Anthro’s additional 40% off (this shrug-cardigan-wrap thing! I have one almost identical in a jersey fabric that I’ve been wearing since 2005); and this flirty little chemise feels “Valentine’s Day” (or any day, really) without trying too hard. Meredith’s Top Sale Picks
No time for pleasantries (this week was filled with ortho appointments — take all my money, but not really — and stomach bugs, so truly nothing fun to report on.) But the sales? Oh I’m pumped, in particular for the 20% off Athleta is offering through 1.23. I just purchased these Venice Moto Joggers and, sorry Salutation Joggers, mama has a new fave. I also ordered these flares to try because they are a WHOLE mood. Colleen Rothschild is also offering 25% off sitewide with code 8YEARS (just get the cleansing balm already, trust me). Abercrombie is offering 50% off winter styles and almost 20% off everything else. I’m digging their dad jeans (consider sizing down 1-2 sizes).
In other news I am very #TikTokInfluenced and can’t wait to make my spices pretty for no one to see with a kit just like this one. Also eyeing this for the dreaded baggie storage. Now if I could only get my Tupperware to behave… Happy weekend everyone!

I’ve started dancing as soon as I get home from school drop-off or my husband takes the kids. I blast Reggaeton (nothing makes me dance like it) and move my body however I feel. It pumps my blood and gets me ready to sit in front of my laptop to work. It helps with my mental health, especially in the winter, and gives me a routine that helps my ADHD. I’m still in the early stages of understanding it and finding ways to live better with it.

Well, it definitely feels like Mercury is in retrograde, y’all. The mirror I ordered from Crate & Barrel arrived shattered yesterday, all of my home improvements are yet again delayed, I’ve been playing a whole lotta phone tag, and I still have this darn lingering cough. Needless to say, I am taking things slower than I normally would, and I guess that is just going to have to be okay!
