Happy Friday! After a few days of real warm weather, summery accessories and woven bags are calling my name. Linzi’s raffia bag checks all the boxes (and it’s part of Saks’ spend/get promo — take $50 off every $250 you spend): It’s big enough to hold the essentials (plus a bit more), and versatile enough to wear with jeans and a tee or a fancy party dress. It’s the kind of bag that complements ANY outfit.

Hey, hey, Friday! We made it! And I even woke up to sunshine here today. This weekend brings our ’80s-themed school auction to the calendar where, yes, I will in fact be going as one of my favorite ’80s movie characters. I wonder if anyone can guess? I’ll put something up on my Instagram this weekend, and you can see if you’re right! Those who know me and what’s in high rotation in my wardrobe might be able to figure it out!

As far as stuff for worky work — idk, y’all, I’m feeling the vitamin D today — I’m LOVING the following: this Gucci x adidas bag (I know, in my dreams) | these parachute pants (and that whole outfit) | and these sneakers. YES.

ONE: These Gap Runaround pants I adore are on sale for $29 (+ 10% additional off) in olive green! The other colors are also on sale for various amounts. Use code ADDIT to save. I now own them in three colors, heh. They’re so light and comfy and easy and cute. Wearing a medium petite. Elastic-waist pants are almost always to long in the rise for me, but bc these come in petite, they’re great! (They also come in tall + reg.) Tank | Sneakers

TWO: The shirts on my bod more than any others, the adidas Adicolor Essentials Crew, are on sale this weekend too! Also in plus sizes, on sale. Literally the best sweatshirt ever. Boxy but not too oversized, and one you’ll want to pop on first thing in the morning just like me. TTS. Wearing a S. Joggers

Wednesday’s temps were in the 80s — in Marquette! That little peek of summer melted the snow around my house and sent me into a cleaning frenzy. I spent the majority of the week organizing and cleaning and getting rid of junk. When I’m feeling anxious, I try to turn my energy toward the things I can control, and decluttering always helps. (Most of the time, at least.)

I also popped into Kohl’s (one of the only stores we have up here) to try on some Levi’s 501 shorts that were on sale. I tried them with the team a few years ago and didn’t like the — but I came home with two pairs this time around! If at first you don’t succeed… (And I love the $42 sale price.)

They also had the Levi’s Low Pro Jeans that have been sold out everywhere…on sale for $25 off too! These jeans are awesome, you guys. They’re super-comfortable (the denim isn’t too thick and rigid), and the low rise is a refreshing change, but it isn’t so low that it’s giving Britney Spears circa 2000 vibes. I’m wearing them here with my Birks, but they’d look awesome with some heels or my Air Force 1s…

ONE: Levi’s 501 shorts – I tried three sizes and ended up with the 28, my typical size, in both the Ojai and Jazz Solo (which is more of a classic denim color than it looks online) colors. | T-shirt (S)

TWO: Levi’s Low Pro Jeans – I’m wearing a 28, my usual size here. I tried the 29s as well, and they would be great if I wanted a baggier look. | t-shirt (S)

**Sephora’s Savings Event starts today for Rouge members! If you’re a VIB or Insider like me, you have to wait for April 18…but this is a GREAT sale to stock up on your favorites!

Happy Friday, beautiful people! In the words of T.Swift, “I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 32…” Well, she actually says 22, but a girl can dream, right? I have vivid memories of turning 22 when Taylor Swift’s “22” was at the top of all the pop charts. I was a senior in college, drinking way too many shots of Patrón with my besties and living it up. So much has changed since then, but my love for Miss Swift and tequila remain the same.

Anywho, this week I’m beyond excited because one of my favorite sales of the year is finally here: the Sephora sale! I’m a skincare fanatic, and when the sale comes around I stock up on my absolute favorite investment skincare, like my favorite retinol alternative and the best hair mask that works for all hair types. Oh, and I just added this floral perfume to my cart!

ONE: It’s finally warming up here in CO, and swim season is right around the corner! I’m still loving this cover-up & one-piece swimsuit that I bought from Eloquii, and right now they’re 50% off with the code NEEDIT. P.S. There’s a similar swimsuit that’s on sale at Nordstrom too!

TWO: I’m decidedly not a cardigan girlie, but boy oh boy, do I have a major crush on this ever-so-pretty blue textural-knit cardigan from Madewell. I even love the tortoiseshell-button detailing, and think it would look so pretty over spaghetti-strap dresses and strapless tops.

Hey, babes! Happy weekend. After being sick for an entire month and going straight into having wonderful family visiting for Easter, my home feels like a disaster. I’m genuinely excited to spend this weekend catching up on deep-cleaning and decluttering (a nice little spring cleaning, if you will). My cleaning-obsessed self is even excited to bust out fresh versions of my all-time-fave sponge (IYKYK…also skip buying them on Amazon; they’re double the price over there).

Sales are FUN this weekend. Saks is running a buy-more-save-more event, and I’ve got my eye on a perfect summer button-up, the linen-blend shorts I’ve been clicking back to for months, and non-bulky utility-style jeans with a 33-inch inseam (yesss).

And while it’s not necessarily summer vibes, this luxe set may very well be my fave sale pick of the weekend (I’d wear it out + about!). More very dreamy sale picks below, if I do say so myself! Xx

ONE: You may have seen me rave about these cotton-gauze wide-leg pants in multiple places (even listing them in a sales report before), but they’re just that good. HOWEVER, if you’ve been thinking they might be too wide/overwhelming for your frame, Gap just released a straight-leg version (!!) in the same unbelievably soft & breezy material! Use current codes for discounts (entire site up to 60% off). OMG, I just found gauze SHORTS too!! AHHHH.

TWO: Full review coming soon, but let’s just say I finally found my perfect robe (after more than a year search) and have to share because it’s on a limited-time discount! Use code PJ10 once you’re in the “secure checkout” page. TTS for a perfect comfy fit.

I had too many aguardientes last night, so let’s say I’m a little hungover. Aguardiente is this Colombian liquor that can kick your butt. I used to be able to drink a lot and be fine, but now I’ve just become too much of a lightweight. We also danced till 4 a.m., so I’m definitely trasnochada

Let’s get into the sales because my head is pounding, and we’re staying at our friend’s house in Atlanta with other 20 people, and they’re already blasting salsa.

ONE: Sweaty Betty Sweatshirt and Pants (in a gorgeous lavender) – This is the most gorgeous sweat set I’ve seen. It’s so flattering and comfortable. Perfect for travel days. You can see full review here

TWO: Gap Crinkled Gauze Dress – There’s something about a breezy little dress to wear on the hottest days or on vacations. It comes in white and black, but I love this warm brown for my complexion.

Happy Friday, pals! I volunteered in Lana’s second-grade class this morning (we did portraits in clay, and it was messy and fun and hilarious). We have an unusually full weekend scheduled with soccer and a number of Girl Scout activities tomorrow, and then we’re hosting friends for dinner on Sunday. Somewhere in there I’ve gotta tidy this house, so there must be a Spring Cleaning Bug in the air! (Scotti + Amy, maybe we should ditch the cleaning and just hang out instead? One day…)

Speaking of Girl Scouts, there’s only a week or so left of cookie season (at least here in Northern California), so if you haven’t gotten your fix yet, now’s the time to support your local troop. No local troop, you say? Let me just slyly insert Lana’s digital cookie page here. Adventurefuls, S’mores and, yes, Thin Mints are still stocked for shipping.

OK, on to the fun stuff: 1. The splurgiest shoes I own have been restocked!!! (did you see my unboxing? A thing to behold!) Pay attention to the sizing; for some reason Gucci uses adidas’ unisex sizing. 2. Loving everything about this easy, chic outfit (I’d swap in these ballet loafers, which feel a little more me). 3) Anthro’s got extra 40% off sale, and I’m eyeing these dessert plates to load up with pastries for Teacher Appreciation Day; this sexy little sweater vest (yes, such a thing exists!); and this summer-ready sweater in eye-popping pink or green.

ONE: OK, not my exact jeans, BUT I was looking for similar Levi’s 501 crops, and these come close in terms of wash — and if you want the ragged hem, you could easily cut them yourself. For $58, I say close enough. AND, and, and! My exact Pureboosts (which I suddenly love pairing with jeans, because apparently it’s 2001) are well-stocked at the moment. Excellent for daily runs, as well. I sized down half from my usual.

TWO: Zappos has my runner sling (basically a thin, stretchy fanny pack that holds a phone, ear buds, ID, ChapStick and more) for under $20 in a couple of colors. I’ve used this thing SO much more than I could’ve ever imagined — for running but also anytime I’m wearing leggings and don’t have loads of pocket space. It’d be SO good toting valuables discreetly during travel too.

Xo! Em

OK, I swear this is the last time I’ll bring up my recent trip to Northern Italy (that is, until I’ve finally finished the epic blog post I’ve already started writing about it). But I just had such a good time with my dad on vacay that I’ve been super-bummed this whole week. I’ve been too sad to even look at pics yet! SIGH. Right, like, it’s the worst thing in the world to have just been in the same town where George Clooney “allegedly” spends half his year. But if you’re looking for some really good, inspirational travel-fashion posts, we’re all obsessed with Julieta’s packing-list blog post from her trip to Cartagena, Colombia, in 2018.

This week, the sales are lookin’ GOOD at more than a few of my current favorite brands including: MOTHER, Farm Rio and ALOHAs. Oh, and also my EXACT Maeve pants from this article about pleated pants last fall are on sale at Anthropologie and fully stocked!

ONE: Maeve Pleated Trousers – Still a good amount of sizes left in standard and tall. Yay, Anthro!

TWO: I found this cute li’l sweater vest at Saks, where there’s also a pretty good sale going on this weekend: $50 off every $200 purchase with the code SHOPITSF.

This week was jampacked. I’m so grateful to be in a busy season of life, but during those busy seasons, I have to remember to carve out space for self-care. This week, taking care of myself involved doing important yet not-so-fun tasks like my taxes.

But after the not-so-fun self-care, it’s time to do the self-care that is fun. For me, a restorative self-care moment usually involves a hot bath, a deep cleanse of my hair and a face mask. Fortunately, today is the first day of the Sephora VIB sale, so it’s time for me to restock my beauty favorites.

ONE: My Curly-Girl Faves – Here are some of my curly-hair must-haves on sale at Sephora. First, I have to thoroughly cleanse my hair with a special shampoo every two weeks because, otherwise, I get product buildup that weighs down my hair. Then, after a deep cleanse, I use this amazing hair mask. I spritz on this leave-in conditioner, apply a generous amount (very important) of frizz-control gel, add a dab of curl cream, and then diffuse with a blow dryer that doesn’t damage my hair. After your curls are set, you can scrunch out any cast from the gel using just a little bit of hair oil.

You’re also going to want a daily shampoo-and-conditioner set as well as a detangling brush that works for wavy and curly hair. Protect your curls overnight with a satin-lined bonnet or pillowcase, and use this deep conditioner once per week for the best results. Good luck! Curls are amazing and fickle. I hope this helps.

TWO: Beach Vibes – I’m in love with this beachy little tote bag from J.Crew, which is over 40% offf right now. It’s the perfect size if you don’t want to haul around a large beach tote, but rather want to bring the beach with you all around town. I’m down for all-summer beach vibes so maxi dresses, white sandals, and beach totes it is.
