Oh, hey, Friday! We’ve got some of the team in town this week cookin’ up some fun video content, so let’s jump right into it. Laura’s new graphic sweater (currently $50 off at Saks) is an easy go-to paired with straight-leg jeans and layered under a spring jacket. While you’re there, Saks is running a 25% off marked items promo (including that studded Rebecca Minkoff bag!)

Hey, hey, Friday! Writing to you from Philly today where I’m getting to hang with my dear TME peeps this week! It’s so good for the soul. AND we’ve recorded a ton of great video content for you all. Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you don’t miss any of it! Subtle plug, I know. But I think all of the content we’ve made this week should hopefully be super-helpful stuff…jean reviews, swimsuits, comfy + versatile pants. It’s so fun to be able to work together on stuff like this sometimes!

Top three things I’m into this week? These blue wide-leg comfy adidas pants I just got (don’t size up if between), this phone stand Julieta has us hooked on, and gah, these Power Crunch bars that have 13 grams of protein and are delicious!

ONE: These gorgeous lug-sole Coach loafers I included last month are on sale at Amazon right now in the cream color I love. TTS, beautifully made and so comfy. LOVE.

TWO: Love this lightweight “Peacemaker” sweatshirt from MOTHER. It’s so comfy but thin enough to later, and it’s the perfect option for us graphic-tee lovers during these cooler, early spring temps. On sale at Saks right now again! Wearing a S.

Happy weekend!! I’m in Philly right now, having the BEST TIME with the girls from the team! It’s SO fun being able to see them in person when 90% of our work is done separately. (Philly people, we’ve eaten at La Chinesca TWICE in two nights — that’s how good it is. HIGHLY recommend their food!)

We’ve been shooting a ton of video content (check out behind the scenes over on our Instagram channel), but this afternoon I’m going SHOPPING. I want to try on some new denim styles at Madewell and these new linen pants at Athleta — I want to know if they’re the same as the Cabo linen I’ve loved for years!

I love this open-back shirt (I’m wearing my bra cami underneath for a bit of extra coverage) from Gap.

ONE: Got GapCash to spend? (Or take an extra 30% off if you don’t — use code YOURS.) I love this open-back shirt (I’m wearing my bra cami underneath for a bit of extra coverage) that’s on sale for $26, and I’m loving the low-rise ’90s jeans!

TWO: Saks is having a great sale right now: 25% off $400+ (including some pieces that are on sale already). $400 is a lot, but if you’ve been eyeing some MOTHER jeans or a sweet bag (I love the one in the pic), now is the time to scoop them up! (P.S. The sandals are 50% off — under $50 — right now and also come with a free Weekender bag with code FREEBIE.)

Anyone else thankful to be out of February? It’s always a hard winter month for me to get through (I guess even here in Southern California… There was SNOW at DISNEYLAND). I’m thankful for a fresh wall calendar and that our wild weather appears to finally be over.

I’m also super-duper thankful for Gap…idk what it is about that store, but pursuing its new arrivals is like a lovely dose of dopamine straight to my soul. The spring collection is an amazing balance of pretty and cool-girl, and since this weekend is GapCash time, it’s the perfect excuse to put this trending top and a colorful linen button-down in my cart (and, wait, also this tote?!).

Hope you have the most restful (with a good dose of playful) weekend! Xx

ONE: Abercrombie is running its Spring Getaway Event, and almost everything is on sale, including the jeans I found to be the best pair under $100 in my last giant jeans try-on. But don’t stop at the denim, the pretty spring colors and linen and dresses right now are so, so lovely.

TWO: WHOAThe Zappos winter sale includes multiple of my fave & most-worn FP Movement gear, like the absolute warmest pullover for brutal winters, my all-time fave fleece in the half-zip version, and the lightweight packable puffer I’ve been wearing in San Diego all winter (especially great for chilly evenings at Disney) — also on sale in a pullover

Hola, hola from Philly. I’ll be returning to TME’s YouTube channel, and we just recorded a video with six tips I use to dress my very petite body. You’ll love it. It’s been a fun few days that have definitely gotten me out of my comfort zone. Communicating in English all day and speaking louder (something that goes deep to childhood trauma) makes my brain work 100 times more, so I feel drained at the end of the day. However, the team has been very supportive, and after a good night of sleep — and a voice activation routine — I feel much better.

ONE: Moonlight Eco Long-Sleeve Short Pajamas – On sale in another color. These are the PJs I brought for my two nights in Philly. I love the combo of shorts and a long-sleeve top.

TWO: Cinq a Sept Cargo Pants – Olive, black, pink. You can get up to 25% off with code SAVE23SF. These cargo pants are so versatile and perfect for spring and summer. I wear them well into fall and winter if it’s not freezing cold. Full review here

Welp, I no longer have an infant on my hands. Elle turns one today, which means this time last year I was snuggling a little naked mole rat of a thing — and just at the start of my three-week-long lying-in period, for which I will always be so grateful.

I’m finding it genuinely hard to process that a year has passed since we’ve had this little squish — and that Lana’s a year older than she was when she became a big sister. It all still feels so relatively new and unfamiliar and overwhelming, and then at the same time, it feels exactly like it’s always been.

Parenting is nothing if not waking up each day and realizing you’re not at all the person you expected to be while having everything you’ve ever hoped for — and then riding the emotional tidal wave that accompanies such a mindf*ck. It’s equal parts beautiful and gutting, and if you’re anything like me, you never know which one you’ll get when the alarm goes off. Today, I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Other random highlights this week: Lana got her ears pierced yesterday, and if you’re local to the Bay Area, I can’t recommend the team at Body Manipulations enough. Our piercing artist played off of Lana’s nervous energy so well while being the consummate professional and super-transparent about every step of the process, including the importance of consent and body autonomy. AND! I just picked up the decaf version of our favorite chai, and it’s just as good as the original — silky, creamy and snickerdoodly, with just enough spice. Shocker, I make mine in our milk frother. It’s the perfect afternoon treat.

ONE: This is one of the few two-pieces bathing suits I’ve actually hung onto over the years. Classic, flattering, nursing-friendly. Basic, but in the best way. On sale in a bunch of colors at varying prices, some with an additional 25% off (use code SHOPNOW). I wear a small in both the top and bottom.

TWO: I’m gonna be singing about these jeans until they’re sold out in every size and wash. Perfect excuse to use that GapCash. (And true to size.) But what I’m really here to tell you about is these shearling-lined Birks. On sale and in stock, with free shipping and returns. My feet DO NOT typically love Birkenstocks, but these are the exception. I wear an 8 and fit a Birkenstock 39. (My button-up comes in and out of stock, but it’s here if you dig it — under $30 and wearing a small.)

Happy weekend, friends! Xo, Em

One thing I forgot about West Texas: dust storms. And they’ve been happening since we got here on Tuesday. On one hand, literally anything is better than snow or ice storms, but on the other hand, I forgot that the dust gets EVERYWHERE. Right now it feels like I have an entire sandbox rolling around in my eyes. My friends and I have gone all around town revisiting all the places we loved going to as kids (including the roller rink where I knocked all my teeth out when I fell), and it’s true what they say about visiting your childhood hometown as an adult: Everything is so much smaller than I remembered as a kid.

My BFF’s family started a company called Bahama Bucks, a flavored ice-shaved cream business that has since exploded and expanded internationally. If you’re lucky enough to have a Bucks where you live, I’m very jealous.

As for fashion stuff, if you’re like me and already looking forward to spring, check out the post I did this week where I rounded up 8 spring tops I’m wearing with MOTHER’s Maven Heel jeans

ONE: Both the MOTHER jeans and the ASTR Gingham top I’m wearing in the first picture are on sale right now. And if you’ve seen any of my stuff on TME lately, you know how much I love these jeans!

TWO: Gap’s puff-sleeve shirred top is still on sale, plus an extra 30% off with the code YOURS.
