Hey, hey, Friday! I’m writing to you from a gorgeous spot on the Hood Canal (the waterways south of the Puget Sound in Washington State) where I now want to live. It’s like being on a lovely lake with the sound of small waves lapping at the shore…and oysters everywhere on the beach. I mean. The Pacific Northwest is just magical.
Currently on my wish list besides fresh oysters and an A-frame cabin on the water of my own? This breezy boxy white shirt from Madewell | this sweatshirt skirt (!) | and I’m still waffling over reordering these perfect-fitting knit cargos (size MP for me)
Sales are also lovely this weekend. This dupe from Lucky Brand for the expensive Freda Salvadore d’Orsay sneakers I’m in love with are on sale for $55. And if you’re OK with pink? My very favorite underwire bra of all time is on sale for 25% in a couple of pink shades.

ONE: Adidas’ Optime 3-Stripes leggings are still my favorite color for spring. Gosh, I can’t get over it! And they’re on sale for $36. Silk soft and the waistband isn’t super tight, so don’t size up if between. Tank (also on sale!)
TWO: You’ve seen it recently in our swim video, but this Gap Big shirt in stripe has been my favorite happy, comfy foray into spring too. Obviously obsessed with green this year (every year.) It’s on sale for $55 with an additional 10-20% off with code ADDON. Oversized fit and so cute! Also in tall sizes. Similar Jeans | Nikes

Happy freaking Friday, beautiful people! I’m so excited because it’s about to be my birthday month!!! Yes, I’m one of those people who love to celebrate throughout the month, and oftentimes for me, I feel like my birthday feels more like a new beginning than the actual new year. I’m so, so excited for what 32 will have in store for me, and I have a feeling it’s going to be another great year!

ONE: Right now I’m loving J.Crew. It has some seriously cool pieces, and I’m crushing on the vibrant colors in the spring collection. If you’re on the hunt for cute dresses this spring, then I definitely recommend you pick up this gorgeous slip dress for yourself. I have it in the prettiest summer green, and because I love the fit so much, I think I am going to snag it in black while their website is 40% off!
TWO: I’ve been in love with Free People’s Easy Street tunic for what feels like forever… And the Easy Street tunic 2.0 (aka the cropped version) is currently on sale. I’ve waxed poetic about both sweaters, but personally think the cropped version is so, so perfect for spring and summery nights.

Not me having a pity party over here because sick symptoms still haven’t left our home. We’re all still blowing our nose a bajillion times a day (that reminds me, I need more tissues from Target) with lovely mucus coughs continuing to prevail. I’ve been staying chipper and positive for weeks, but now…I feel like it’s finally taking a toll, and I might just bury myself in retail therapy for the weekend.
What’s In My Cart: I’ve been eyeing up this midi sweater dress for a year, and it might actually be perfect this spring | Jeans, of course. I’m super curious about this AGOLDE pair and these coastal-inspired pants that I’m hoping aren’t too short for me. | This hat for beachy weekends | And a chic tank from my fave brand.

ONE: But let’s get on with SALES. The most versatile piece in my wardrobe is a button-up top, and in the summertime I’m all about cotton-gauze material. This cotton top is super-lightweight and breezy, and has the coolest distressed-hem detailing for a lived-in look that I love. It falls longer in the back which makes it easy to wear with all-the-things, and a few colors are on limited time sale (wearing a medium)!
TWO: I’ve hated curling irons for most of my life until I found this one. It’s actually easy to use, built so I can hold it without burning myself, doesn’t pull my hair, and is super-lightweight. I’ve preferred a flat iron forever, but now pretty much only reach for my T3 (and it’s on limited-time sale)!

And it’s April! This spring has me feeling like a rockstar. I feel mentally and physically healthier after years of lots of inner work, and I feel I’m reaping what I sow. If you’re interested in an Indigenous approach to healing, my friend Mandy has an amazing program, and the last day to sign up is today. You’ll see my testimonial in her page. I’ll never get tired of recommending it because it changed my life and gave me a sister — literally one of my favorite people right now.

ONE: AGOLDE Parker Shorts (under $100) – Whenever I need high-end denim brands with some kind of discount, Revolve is always on my list. There are two washes of the beloved Parker style stocked in most sizes: this one and this one. With this fit, I can stay with my true size.
TWO: Abercrombie Curve Love Mom Shorts (I sized up one, 28) – These are AMAZING. I owe you a photo because I tried them on and wore them all day but forgot to snap a selfie (and now they’re in the washing machine). The finished hem, inseam, fit, everything. I’m so glad I ordered them. I sized up one because of my thighs, but others can stick to their true size.

Holy shitballs, friends, it’s SUNNY! Just in time for spring break. We’ve got a couple days booked in Napa with a heated pool, and my in-laws are joining us for a night, which means Chris and I get to sneak away for a date at Morimoto one evening. All too excited for that.
More fun things! The adidas x Gucci collab. Um, hello — WHAT. I’m admittedly not a designer girlie, but I have a milestone birthday coming up, and it feels like the perfect excuse to get a little Real Housewives-y and indulge. You have to download the app to purchase, and I bet these things are going to go fast, but…ughhh. I’d go for these Gazelles, specifically.
Also, this tie-dye kit (our fave!) is back in stock and half off on Amazon. Makes for the perfect spring-break activity, especially paired with this pretty, 100% cotton dress, which is the current version of one we’ve used with flying colors (literally) in the past.
And lastly…I’m finally nabbing my favorite linen pants in black. They’re always a great price (under $50), but all sizes are on sale on Amazon right now. Perfect for the beach, but they’re perfectly coastal-preppy-cool too.

ONE: Old Navy just restocked a wash of these wide-leg, low-rise jeans that looks eerily similar to my exact wash (which is still barely in stock here). Like, the color is a little warmer blue, but other than that, it’s the same? Anyway, they’re on sale with an additional 30% off (no code needed), making them under $30. I’m between a size 0 and 2, and I own them in both sizes. Wearing the 2 here, which means they hit just a bit lower.
TWO: I’m so into the idea of brown denim for spring and summer. With an ivory graphic tee and flip-flops or Birkenstocks? Perfectly unexpected but still easy and cool. These are just $59 and well stocked too.

All eyes in my house will be on the Iowa Women’s basketball team as they take on South Carolina tonight. Go Hawks! Time to make some of my mom’s delicious deviled eggs (extra pickles are key) and cauliflower poppers.
As for fashion, spring is slowly and tentatively appearing in Colorado, which means sunny 60-degree days mixed in with windy nights in the 20s. That makes April the prime time for my J.Crew Perfect Lightweight Jacket, which blocks wind and rain. You can see this jacket on me in my J.Crew jacket try-on video. Speaking of J.Crew, its sales this weekend are fantastic. These ponte pants are hitting the blog soon, but they’re on sale now if you want to snap them up.
Abercrombie has marked down many of its denim styles by 25%, and I love the Curve line. The ‘90s Straight Jeans are one of my favorite styles, as are the ‘90s Slim Straight Jeans. The cult-classic Curve Love vegan-leather pants that I love are also on sale; Abercrombie’s even added new colors for spring, like cream and pale green. Also, my versatile black maxi dress is on sale. I love this dress with combat boots.

ONE: These beautiful flared ponte pants with front-zip detailing at J.Crew is an extra 40% off the sale price, putting these workwear hero pants at under $70. My only question is do I need multiples?! The Rest: Sweater | Boots
