Hey, hey, Friday. Fun and craziness this week, and I blame that wild full moon for both. I hope you saw it Monday night — it was amazing. We did our first Swimply visit yesterday evening, so it truly feels like summer here now. Kiddo has been in soccer camp this week and will do a pop-punk School of Rock camp next week. We adore SOR if you have one near you, btw! I can’t wait for their performance next Friday! It will be a fun wrap to the week of NSale madness.
Speaking of that, I cannot wait to style up some looks next week for everyone! It’s truly my favorite thing…to play dress-up with new stuff and put combos together that I love — and hope are helpful. But in the meantime, I’m eyeing some stuff on sale right now: these cute sandals, these Gap pants for 30% off, and this adorable Madewell bag (that looks very Clare V., btw) that’s an EXTRA 30% off $65.
ONE: I’m still living in these Gap Crinkle Gauze straight-leg pants that are 30% off right now. The flowy wide leg looks so great on others, but give me straight-leg pants, always. The fit is great, and they’re so light and comfy even for hot days. I’ve been pairing with a cropped tee or my Athleta tops.
TWO: The MOTHER jeans I still have in my closet are these Rider Skimp straight-legs, and they’re on sale at Shopbop for over $100 off. They’re a cute, slim straight-leg, have soft denim (but structured enough to be flattering), and as with all MOTHER denim, break in beautifully. You guys. I have to have a little Proud Mom Moment. Greenlea is a freaking star. She sang in the Fourth of July parade (on a float — which I walked next to behind the crowd, recording her without her seeing me 😬), and her performance in the play she is in is just…wow. To say I’m proud is, like, the understatement of the year.
Speaking of proud, Ozzie has a reading log up on the fridge to help us keep track of his reading for the summer. He went up to it the other day and said: “Is dat my reading log? I’m impwessed!” Good job, buddy!

Hi, hi, beautiful people! I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that we’re already a week into July. It feels like the days are flying by, and I somehow blinked and we’re more than halfway through the year. This weekend I’m heading to a private hot-springs stay with my bestie, & I’m beyond excited to splish-splash in some mineral waters. I’ll be taking this bikini along with me. I absolutely love the material and think it’s oh-so comfortable.

Blesssss Taylor Swift for re-recording her old albums. I’m all up in my 21-year-old feelings listening to her just-released “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” album, and it’s even better than the first time around. Anyone else out there streaming this allllll weekend long with me??
Also, super-random, but I just put up black linen curtains in our bedroom and love them (feels very chic and romantic). I found them in a Memorial Day clearance sale, BUT just noticed a super-similar linen curtain on sale at Anthro! Scoop them up if you’re loving the moody, textured home-decor vibes like I am. As for more sales, I’m most impressed with A&F and Free People — both have sale sections with really impressive options and shockingly good savings. TWO: I’ve worn these shorts a ton so far this summer, and now they’re only $20?! TTS, and the cutout detailing is well made/hasn’t changed at all in the wash. They stay in place perfectly during my workouts (and there’s no skin pinching), which is the best part! Peep the whole sale — the savings are realllllly good.

Sitting at my dining table next to my kitchen, I can see and smell my mami making arepas. Yummy. She won’t stop feeding us, and I love that feeling of being taken care of. I got back from Austin on Monday (hence the y’all), and we canceled the big kiddo’s camp this week so we could all take a beat to just hang before we meet up with Chris’ family at the lake for a few days. This summer is flying by. Now that the Fourth of July is officially behind us, and we’re already in the midst of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, is it too early to start wishing for fall? Just kidding. I’m making the most of this summer and not even a little bit ready for it to be over. That feeling will probably change when I land in Tampa tomorrow where the temps are blistering. My mom is coming with me to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, like we did last year, and honestly I couldn’t do it without her.

After spending more than a couple of hours poring over the Nordstrom sale Preview this week, my brain is full of fall fashion, but my heart is still leaning toward the bright, cheery colors I’ve been wearing all summer. I’m just not quite ready for harvest tones!
This week, I’m taking advantage of the sale-on-sale at Athleta to pick up a new one-shoulder tank top and yoga pants. I used to teach yoga classes and have dropped off my practice lately, and I want to get back into it this summer. I’m also eyeing J.Crew’s summer cashmere sale. This classic crew neck comes in a ton of colors — I might need the cerulean blue version.

ONE: My favorite white jeans are on sale at Nordstrom right now. These jeans seem to somehow visually elongate my frame and look crisp for summertime. For reference, I’m 5’5”.
TWO: I initially spotted this gorgeous Farm Rio blouse when I was writing my Italy packing post, and it’s newly marked down this week at Nordstrom. I love the delicate lace detail on the arms and bodice of the blouse.

Mohini’s Top Sale Picks
A few months into my pregnancy, I realized I didn’t have the pregnancy glow, and my hair was thinning. Yikes! So, I went all-in researching skincare, makeup and hair care. For a year and a half, I’ve been using products with the best ingredients and the results have been phenomenal.
This week has been all about refilling my empties and bathroom organization. I’m stocking up on my favorite eye shadow and conditioner!
ONE: This cream eyeshadow is hydrating and super-easy to apply. The shades are sparkly and stunning! It’s a holy-grail product for me. When I don’t feel like putting a lot of effort into my makeup, I put this on my upper eyelid and call it a day.
TWO: Using this conditioner feels like using a hair mask without having to actually use a hair mask. It is reparative and hydrating, and the scent is incredible.
