Hey, hey, Friday! Phew, we’ve finally made it to the End Of Winter, which means it’s nearly time to shed our winter layers in favor of lightweight spring tops and breezy pants. These linen joggers (20% off at Athleta) have been a longtime fave of Scotti’s. They’re the perfect alternative to shorts (they’re comfortable, breathable and offer more coverage), and these pants are just as easy to dress up or down.

Hey, hey, Friday! I’m soaking up the final rays of sunshine before heading back to Portland today…exhausted and fulfilled from an amazing week at Alt Summit. These types of things feel especially magical after three years of the weirdest time of our lives. It was so good to reconnect with like-minded women in business and creative peeps (and my besties from Toronto!). SO GOOD. And it didn’t hurt that it was mostly surrounded by sunny days.

My brain cells are a little talked-out after this week, so bear with me today on details, haha. There are some fun sale items out there this weekend. But first, three things on my wish list right now are: new Clare V. midi bags (in green croc and neon-pink stripes!)…this Clare V. windowpane blouse (gahhh, I already have it in another pattern)…and these rad track pants that I should actually be arriving home to.

Below are some great sale finds to get you through the weekend! Sláinte today, pals, fellow Irish & non-Irish peeps…and may the road rise up to meet you (that’s my favorite part). xoxo

ONE: This cropped (but not too cropped) striped MOTHER tee is on sale, and it’s one of my current most-worn. It’s soooo soft and a bit swingy/boxy. I LOVE it. It is long enough that it even works well with my beloved new mid-rise jeans.

TWO: Sweet! Speaking of mid-rise jeans, my Madewell Kick Out Crop faves are 25% off for Insiders this weekend! Actually, everything is 25% off for Insiders (just takes a free email sign-up). Check my article here for links to more sizes, fit details and washes. Size down one because they’re stretchy! LOVE mine and have worn them all week here.

Last weekend was CRAZY busy with Greenlea’s play (five performances in four days), so I’m all about relaxing this weekend…starting with a snow day today. Right around this time every year is when I start going a bit crazy because winter won’t LEAVE, but the sales are really good, so I can peruse them online all weekend long…

I’m lusting after this Rebecca Minkoff crossbody (LOVE the chain detail) that’s marked down to $96 (from $228 with code HELLOSPRING25).

I’m also OBSESSED with Anthro’s sale section. I can find the most unique things…like this Vintage Bookshelf Edition Clue (used to play this one all the time), or this double-strand necklace that makes layering easy (both for under $25), or this cropped wrap blouse that would look awesome with high-rise jeans… Like I said, Anthro’s sale section (extra 30% off!) is always worth peeking at.

ONE: Athleta has a ton of spring staples on sale right now, including its linen line that I’ve loved for years. These joggers are so good (check out details here) — I love the persimmon color this year.

TWO: Um, you guys…this dress from Target is AMAZING. Not too tight, super-versatile, comfy…and on sale for $10. I bought it in black and green. LOVE. (These $5 undies don’t show underneath, and I just realized there are a lot more colors online only!)

Happy Friday, beautiful people! This past month has been a seriously wild ride. I’ve been traveling all over and most recently returned home from Switzerland two days ago. It was a super-last-minute decision, but since the flights were only $540 round trip, and one of my friends recently moved to Zurich, I knew it was a go.

We spent time in Lucerne, Lugano, and of course Zurich. Truthfully, visiting Switzerland was never on my bucket list, but it absolutely exceeded my expectations, and I’ll be returning for another visit again! P.S. If you’re a fan of luxury bath houses, then you need to put this on your list of places to visit. It’s absolutely unreal, and the views are incredible. XX – Kat

ONE: I wore my Thea platform P448 sneakers every single day while in Switzerland, and let me tell you all, my footsies have never been more comfortable. We walked a ton throughout every city we visited, and while I was skeptical about only packing one pair of walking sneakers, these were absolute winners for keeping me comfy and cute for the entire week! A few styles of the Thea sneakers are on sale, and these are currently in my cart

TWO: Swim szn is almost here, y’all, and this year I’m still loving J.Crew swim for my ultra-curvy body! Last season I ordered all of the J.Crew swimsuits I could find, and most are still available this year too. If you want to see what they look like on me, then give this video a watch. Right now all of J.Crew’s website is 20% off with discount codes, which makes it a great time to pick up a bikini or one-piece for yourself!

Haaaappy last weekend of winter! Even though the forecast isn’t showing any changes into warmer weather, I still get just as excited when the calendar seasons switch over, and I’m welcoming spring with the widest, open arms. *happy sigh*

If there’s one item I’m seeing EVERYWHERE for the new season, it’s a midi/maxi denim skirt. Gap just released one of its own, and it’s shockingly on sale this weekend (use the codes!). I scooped up a now-sold-out version a few weeks ago (they’re ALL selling out and FAST) and am attempting to style it up a few different ways to see what I think of the trend…stay tuned!

As for other fun springy things? I’m obsessing over this light body spray (a welcome change to heavier perfume) | this lightweight shirt jacket | aaand amazing nondistressed denim shorts that officially seem to be the *it* style of shorts (YESSS). Xx

ONE: My favorite linen pants are on sale! I run between pant sizes and went with the smaller, but reviews are mixed (based on body type, I’m sure). I’m wearing the tall inseam, and they’re the perfect length — light and flowy and, yes, a bit sheer (which I love for a beach town). Reviews report that the other colors are NOT sheer, though – and there’s some epic colors to choose from.

TWO: Speaking of linen…these boyfriend shirts are too good to pass up. I fell in love with the neutral shades last year, but now I’ve been craving color (and they’re really great for swim cover-ups). Use the current codes for major discounts (I’m wearing a medium)!

Feliz viernes! In Spanish there’s a saying, “Es viernes y el cuerpo lo sabe” (“It’s Friday, and the body knows it”), and while it initially referred to going out and partying, it’s something you say on Fridays when you’re ready to let go of the stress of the week and enjoy the weekend. In my case…I’m going out for a hike with an Indigenous friend, then for some delicious food this afternoon. That’s my kind of Friday now, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

ONE: Gap Linen-Cotton Vest (S petite) and also in white – Gap has a freaking amazing sale and a freaking amazing Spring collection. I love vests, but they don’t usually hit where I want them to because of my height. So Gap having petite and tall sizes is EVERYTHING. I’ll be wearing it with jeans, shorts, linen pants and more.

TWO: Cinq à Sept Print Floral Dress (40% off) – If you’re looking for high-quality and forever dresses, Cinq à Sept is a favorite. Perfect for weddings, vacations, date nights, etc. I’ve owned and loved one of these dresses for years, and I’m so glad I invested in it.

We’ve officially entered Birthday Party Season around here — and Girl Scout Cookie season, and “Mandalorian”-Slash-“Ted-Lasso” Season — and things are feeling sunny, if a little exhausting. (To echo Jess’ note below, I’m feeling lost without new episodes of “The Last of Us,” and while Mando is really only like a half-fix — because of, you know, the whole helmet thing — I’ll take what I can get.)

A few fun things I’m scooping up/eyeing this week: these rad neon (!!) watercolors for Lana’s Easter basket that show up vibrantly on black paper; this gorgeously easy Frank & Eileen skirt (yes, skirt, I know — not something I commonly reach for, but it’s just begging for ballet flats or sneakers. Also at Nordstrom); and these patched flares, which I’ve been lusting after for a while now, but Linzi’s post has convinced me I positively need them. Get ‘em while they’re 40% off!

Happy weekend, friends! More of my sale picks below.

ONE: Oh, look! A new shaker-stitch cardigan for me to obsess over. Part of Gap’s Friends & Family sale too. This one looks like the boyfriend version that I have (same 100% cotton composition and knit) but with different proportions perfect for spring. Little bit shorter, little bit boxier. And still pretty well-stocked in all three colors (regular, petite and tall sizing).

TWO: Happiness in a shoe!!! If you’re over all-white sneaks, these. The perkiest Air Force 1s, 25% off and in stock. I mean, c’monnnnnn.

Is anyone else mourning the end of “The Last of Us”? Seriously, what am I going to do now without my weekly dose of Pedro Pascal?? I’m already tempted to rewatch the season over again, or I’ll just have to find another show to obsess over. Any suggestions?

Or maybe I’ll just find another good book to devour, since I’ve been on a roll finding and reading really good books as of late. If you’re looking for a thrilling, page-turning novel, I just slammed through “Something in the Water” by Catherine Steadmen; and if you’re more of a nonfiction reader, “Under the Banner of Heaven” by Jon Krakauer was so fascinating!

ONE: Athleta Retroplush Bomber Jacket – In honor of St. Patrick’s day, I had to pick something green! This bomber jacket is the perfect color for spring and is on sale!

TWO: Old Navy Twist-Front Maxi Dress – I’m loving this dress from Old Navy for spring, and it’s currently 50% off for only $25! Make sure to enter the code LUCKY to get the full discount.

I’m super-excited about this weekend because we’re celebrating my dad’s 70th birthday! He’s 70 years young — you can find him roaming around the trails in Cheyenne Canyon most days, or writing letters to the editor about how we can make our public policies more sustainable. So, in honor of our shared love for the environment, I’m taking my dad to the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center on Saturday. We’ll get to take a tour of the sanctuary and see those gorgeous animals that are slowly (and carefully) being reintroduced to their natural habitat in Colorado.

On Sunday, all eyes in our household will be on the Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball team and superstar Caitlin Clark. I’m not as avid a sports enthusiast as my younger sister, who is a bona fide fan, but I’ll be cheering for my team nonetheless.

On the home front, I’ve been cooking up some delicious new recipes like the mushroom-and-leek galette and crispy-shiitake-and-kale tacos from this wonderful cookbook, “Weekday Vegetarian.” Plus, I scored big at the library book sale last week and am currently reading “A Brief History of Time” and have my eye on “The Dawn of Everything” next. Hope you have the chance to curl up with a book this weekend at this chilly tail end of winter and dream of spring!

ONE: Abercrombie is my go-to brand for jeans, like the ones I’m wearing above, and right now Abercrombie is offering 20% off any purchase over $150$ or 15% off over $100. The Curve line is a godsend for the pear-shaped. Abercrombie offers both traditional and stretch denim that actually fit. Above, I’m wearing the Curve Love High-Rise Skinny jeans.

Other favorite styles to stock up on are the cream-colored Curve Love Ultra-High-Rise ‘90s straight carpenter jeans and the Curve Love Ultra-High-Rise ‘90s jeans with the crisscross waistband.

TWO: The New Day Mini Crossbody Bag from Target is so fun and cute, and it’s priced so well that I miiiight have picked up more than one color. It’s on sale right now, so you can do the same. I love the orange, but also the straw with a black colorway that I think looks so chic in the summertime.
