Hey, hey, Friday. Here we are again and at Halloween weekend! My favorite time of year! I’m co-hosting a grown-ups party tomorrow night with my friend and neighbor, in charge of table and other decorations…but apparently that meant in my brain I didn’t have to decorate our house?? What is wrong with me? I put up my “Beetlejuice” sign and a black feather wreath on the door yesterday, and that was it. I’m giving myself a D for this year’s spooky home vibes but an A for costumes. Which is what really matters, right?

Happy Halloween (weekend)! I still have no idea what my costume is going to be, but I know my kids are excited to wear their “Star Wars” costumes. I’m looking forward to trick-or-treating and hearing Ozzie say, “Trick or treat, smell my toe!” (He must have heard the “smell my feet” version at some point because he literally said that at every house last year.)
It’s also my mom’s birthday tomorrow, so we’re going to celebrate with dinner and wine. She’s hard to buy for, so I’m sticking to her favorite perfume (ooh, it’s on sale!) — which she refuses to say the name of out loud despite my best efforts — and some flowers.
Elegant, Understated Decor: Have you guys heard of Nambé? I just came across some gorgeous pieces while looking at Nordstrom’s sale items, and I love its aesthetic. The holiday decor is so, so good…like these silver reindeer or this wood-and-silver nativity set.
All-Clad Sale: I bought an All-Clad set when it was on sale (ooh, the same one is over 50% off here with code FRIEND) and love cooking with it — the even heat distribution makes a huge difference. I just purchased these nonstick pans (30% off!) that have amazing reviews to add to it.
Statement Boots: These gorgeous boots are not on sale, but I fell in love with them when I saw them on the cover of a catalog. And after reading the rave reviews, I had to buy them. (In gold, of course.) 😍

I can hardly believe it… My child is turning TWO next week. I don’t even understand how time works anymore, and I’m just thankful we’ll be celebrating at Disney, so all of the sugar-induced happiness can blur out my blubbering-emotional-mom mess.

As for what I’ll be wearing? I need to figure that out this weekend, but I do have a little stack of adorable themed T-shirts to consider styling up, with this one being my top favorite.
WHO AM I? To know me is to know I prefer oversized clothing… But something came over me, and I ordered this fitted top last week (with over 2,000 five-star reviews). I LOVE it so much that it’s already been worn two of the past five days.

Hey, gang, happy Friday. This past week has been a weird one. Just as we were preparing Lana to finally get back to school, I caught whatever she had…and then Chris caught it. And then Elle finally joined in, and now we’re all just feeling crummy. My mom is here to help, and somehow she has the immune system of an ostrich (who knew ostriches have great immune systems!? The things you learn on Google while desperately trying to pull together your sales-report blurb…), because she’s completely unscathed so far. I mentioned it in one of our newsletters this week, but she’s also been swearing by this wellness formula. Hey, man, whatever works.

Favorite Jeans Down To $33! I now own these barrel jeans in three washes. They’re so freaking effortlessly cool, and I always get asked about them. I Really Love Abercrombie’s Collab With The Sister Studio: It’s all kinda better-than-basic in that subtly sexy way that Abercrombie has about it — and it’s also all on sale. My faves are the shawl collar henley sweatshirt and the off-the-shoulder tunic sweatshirt.
A Rebecca Minkoff Backpack for $42? OK! Easy-to-clean nylon with subtle black-on-black stud details. Yeah, I’m into it. And for 81% off, even more so.

And the weekend is here. Finally, I’m feeling closer to 70% after more days of being sick. If you get our newsletter, you probably read “My Everyday Edit,” where I shared I’d be seeing an allergist and immunologist this week to treat my chronic rhinitis. Well, I had my appointment yesterday, and it felt good to pinpoint some of my triggers (dust mites, cats, and some other fall and spring stuff). I’m going back for more testing next week, and I hope to get the help I need. My son is already scared we’d need to get our Koko (cat) out, but I told him we’re finding other solutions.
Warm Feet Everyday: It’s 45 degrees this morning here, so it’s time to stock up on Barefoot Dreams’ cozy, warm socks
A Put-Together Hoodie: Tell me if this Daily Practice hoodie isn’t the prettiest one you’ve ever seen. I would size up for a more relaxed fit. Ohh, and it has matching pants.

I just got home yesterday after three weeks of traveling: first to Florida for some quality time with my parents and Jon, and then North Carolina to spend time with my BFF and help with her baby shower. I lived in NC as a kid and being back really made me miss it. The weather is so mild, even in the fall. I miss the Southern hospitality and friendliness. Michiganders are tough nuts to crack. If you try to make small talk with someone you don’t know, they look at you like you’re crazy. (Doesn’t stop me from trying, though).
The Perfect Plaid Shirt: When I say that I’ve been living in my new favorite flannel shirt from Gap, I truly mean it. I’ve barely taken it off (only to wash it). I have it in the blue-green pattern option, and the colors are soooo bright and perfect for fall. I bought it in an XL for a really oversized fit. Also, it’s currently 40% + an extra 20% off with the codes GETGIFTS and TREATS.
Prettiest Puzzles: I found the most gorgeous jigsaw puzzles to gift to my MIL for Christmas. Cavalinni Papers & Co. uses the most beautiful vintage-inspired illustrations for its puzzle. I’m getting my mom the National Parks and the Minerologie puzzles (because that’s my personal fave).
Marvelous Matisse: I love me some Matisse, and I just ordered this sweatshirt on Etsy that’s embroidered with his dancing ladies on it. So cute.
Drop it Like it’s Hot: I’ve never wanted a pair of jeans so badly!! I was beyond excited to see that these Denimist Carpenter Drop Jeans I’ve been coveting for so long finally went on sale at Anthropologie today. Originally $345, they’re now only $209! You bet I ordered these so fast. They’re SO COOL. Fully stocked in all sizes!
