A Suit That’s Not Just for Work

There’s an undeniable allure to suits that I’ve always found incredibly sexy. There’s something fierce about a suit… Even when they’re just paired with a crisp button-up with no skin showing, there’s a confidence that emanates from that tailored silhouette. They’re obviously the perfect choice for work – add a simple shell and some office-ready shoes – but I especially love to dress mine up (down?) for date night.

Suits: Redefining Date Night Style

Suits are incredibly versatile and can seamlessly transition from day to night. A plunging neckline, statement jewelry, and sexy sandals effortlessly elevate a typical business suit to a boss-worthy ensemble that’s perfect for nighttime adventures. Sophistication with a hint of seduction? Absolutely.

Date Night Outfit: A Relaxed Blazer + Wide Leg Trousers

The oversized blazer strikes the perfect balance with its relaxed fit, staying current without being excessively exaggerated (unless that’s your thing!). It could easily layer over jeans or a LBD, but I especially love it with the matching wide leg pants. The whole look feels effortless but…fierce. (Not to mention comfortable!)

And you guys, the fit of these pants is excellent. I love the high rise/wide leg silhouette that accentuates curves without overpowering them or looking like clown pants. I don’t think I’ve ever had a pair that fit so well at the waist (no annoying gap!) without pulling across my bum in a weird way, but these are perfect.

**The key is to size UP! I tried both a 6 (my usual size) and the 8 (the pair I’m wearing) and the 6’s fit more like a size 4.

These pants are the perfect length for heels on date night (the pair I’m wearing are 3″), but they also worked with sneakers (they just pooled a bit at the bottom). The pant fabric is nice and light and moves so well – it’s perfect for spring and summer. These pants also come in four other colors (I’m seriously tempted by that bright red cayenne!).

Shoutout To The Best Plunge Bra, Ever

I also have to mention that I’ve been looking for the perfect plunge bra for awhile now. I wanted one that would give light support (more than a bralette) without pushing up (I don’t want aggressive cleavage), and disappear completely under low-cut shirts. I’ve tried more than a few that haven’t worked at all, but I LOVE this one.

It’s not padded, but lined (nipple coverage without excessive padding), and the straps are adjustable for the perfect fit (and there’s a j-hook attached which makes it easily convert to a racerback). And while I could wear this bodysuit without a bra (I’d probably still use these), I just feel better when I have a bit of support – but I still get that general sexy vibe that comes with the plunging neckline.

Cheers to being a boss from the boardroom to the dance floor!

XOXO,

Scotti
