People have been raving about these rag & bone “jeans” (are they joggers? are they sweatpants?) SO much so, that Laura and I both decided we had to try them for ourselves. I mean, they sound too good to be true: joggers that look like jeans and feel like sweatpants. (Exactly what Stay-At-Home life needs.)
rag & bone Miramar Faux Jeans Joggers: Are They Worth The Price?
The thing that had always held me back before? The price tag. These sweatpants / joggers / jeans / whatever they are, are a whopping $225. I think we all can agree that’s pretty damn steep. BUT…Laura and I are both willing to pay that kind of money for denim if it’s amazing. I couldn’t really see sweatpants being worth it at that price, but…those reviews, tho!
I was actually really excited to try them. I mean, they had to be perfection with that price tag, right?

They look pretty cute, right? But here’s what you need to know. The fabric? Not soft. They’re 100% cotton (which is good), but it feels like a scratchy, slightly stiff terry cloth fabric–not that cozy softness you’d expect with sweatpants. (I’m wondering if a wash would soften them up, but then I worry about them shrinking.)
And the pockets? Don’t line up at all. I mean there are pockets printed on the front, but the actual pockets are right on the side, which makes them gape and stick out.
And you can see the entire outline of the pockets underneath the fabric. Additionally, the waistband is printed with denim details but is also elastic — so the button is often half-folded underneath the crease of the fabric. I was so excited to try them, but they did not live up to expectations (especially with that price tag).

Pockets gaping on the side…
When I first tried them on, my husband said “those are literally the worst pants I’ve ever seen.” (He didn’t see the price tag, either.)
“But they’re cute, right?” I say. “They’re sweatpants.”
“I know.” he says. “They’re ugly. And what’s going on with those pockets?” 🤦🏼♀️
I still really want to love them for some reason. I keep trying to talk myself into liking them. I think I just love the idea of them so much. I mean, denim joggers are literally my favorite pants right now, and I’m willing to pay for good ones! But in no way, shape, or form can I get behind the price tag for these…just–no.

Laura’s Take On The rag & bone Jeans Joggers
Hi. OK. So I’ve honestly been eyeing these rag & bone joggers for a long time, even stalking places like Poshmark and eBay to find them. In photos — cute! But I had never actually ordered them.
OMG. Hahahahahahaha is all I have to say.
Y’all. I am willing to spend a little bit more on really great pieces that I adore. I recently styled up and reviewed a cool pair of pants by The Great; they’re my favorite over-priced sweatpants. But I do not get why people love these $225 fake denim joggers.
They seem like something I’d be totally into! I love a good weird closet item, but these are ridiculous. They might even be cute here in our photos…sure a denim jogger lewk is adorbs. But don’t be fooled. The fabric is atrocious IRL (and itchy) and the pockets show through — and they’re not even where the fake pockets are aligned…so my brain is just confused. And for a confusing pair of fake denim joggers, there’s no way in H-E-double-hockey-sticks I’d pay $225. Bahahaha. And you know I’ll pay a pretty price for really good denim. I’m just. left. baffled.
