Mix Up Your Shoe Game with THE Coolest Rosy-Pink Boots

I saw these rose pink, military style boots…and I wanted the boots. I didn’t know exactly why, because…uh. They aren’t particularly sensible for my current stage in life (*cough* three young kids *cough* I don’t ever wear heals during the week *cough*), but I DIDN’T CARE. I got them anyways. Some times I just want the fun thing, okay?!

Then they showed up at my door. HA. I opened the box up and realized, hmm. Okaaaaay, let’s be real here. I need to actually be able to wear these with everyday outfits, because I’m someone who doesn’t like keeping things around in my closet, just to have them. It annoys the crap out of me…and I usually end up returning or selling them in one of my closet sales. Now, in this case, I was pretty committed to making these babies work. They’re just too cool!

So. I decided to try them with one of my most basic, every day momiforms – a turtleneck, epically comfortable high waist jeans and my favorite throw-on jacket. I had nada to lose.

Well, peeps.

I am happy to report that I made the right choice buying these absolutely ridiculous, cool, edgy, PINK boots.

outfit details

top: J. Crew Tissue Turtleneck T-shirt (TTS, wearing Small) – a must have in my fall/winter wardrobe. I wear it all of the time. It’s soft, thin, comfortable. I just ordered it in black (again). I had it last year and wore it until it died. ha.

jacket: Levi’s Anorak Jacket – their utility jacket is another option (and comes in three colors – I like the grey, too). What I like about this style of jacket is it’s great for grab n’ go situations. I wear it A LOT. I can get away with wearing it down here in the South on warmer days during the Winter, with a layer underneath. I do have to wear a real coat, though…some days. 😉

jeans: Madewell Roadtripper Jean (daryl wash, tall size, pretty TTS…I maybe could have done one size below) – some sizes are not stocked, but Nordstrom has some available AND all sizes in the black Bennet Wash. These are THE most comfortable jeans I have ever worn. I have posted about them before and they are almost like wearing leggings. They are worth trying on.

footwear: Dolce Vita Lynx Velvet Combat Boot (TTS) – Shopbop has them and so does Amazon. I love them, because they’re fun. I do have one slight complaint – you have to double knot the laces, because they are slippery and come untied if you don’t. I deal with it, because yeh. Pink. Fab. Booties.

Oooh, and you know what? DV also has a low-heel version that is ON POINT. I’m going to have to try it out, I think.

backpack: Rebecca Minkoff Julian Backpack (Navy) – always a favorite. I grab this bag almost every other day…as does the entire TME team. The exact color I have seems to be unavailable right now, but this moon one is gorg.  I’ve also had my eye on the black w/ gold hardware for a while now…and holy shiznit! The aubergine color is amazing!!

Buy the fun thing sometimes! K?

Cheers,

Cams
