Fall means cute shoes — and I definitely count clogs in that category. I know not everyone thinks of clogs as “cute,” but I do, lol. And I know I’m not alone. Clogs have been a fall staple shoe for years – some swear by them for work, while others reach for them just as much for comfort as for style.
When I started ordering clogs to try this year, I cast a wide net at first. But pretty quickly, I realized what actually makes a pair land on my personal list of the best clogs for fall:
- The clog silhouette – closed, rounded toe, with an open (or slingback!) heel
- Substantial sole with some height – usually a medium heel or platform
- Comfy and stays on my foot well
- Traditional details (studs, wooden or wood-look sole) – my personal bias, though a couple of pairs won me over without them
There are so many clogs out there, but these were the things that really narrowed down the search to the pairs worth keeping…though now I’ve included a couple other team member favorites that aren’t traditional wooden heel clogs, after very strong reviews from them.
I’ve Tried 20+ Pairs Of Clogs: These Are The Best For Fall 2026
This process took a few weeks for me to complete. It was tough to find anywhere I could go in-store and try quite a few brands I was interested in, so me and my little 900 sq ft place had to take it slowly. That did give me time to find pairs I really liked though, and while there are obviously a ton I didn’t get to try, I feel like these brands really show a variety of what’s out there that hit the marks I needed them to.

Unfortunately, I didn’t run across a cute clog in any of my searches in a wide width option. I do have a wide toe box and mention that in a few below that were too tight, but I have a narrow heel. I’ll keep looking and update the article with any wide-width finds! Kat on our team sometimes needs to look for wide-width shoes and she does love the Sorel clog, so keep that one in mind for sure.
1 | Most Comfortable + Most Affordable: Dr. Scholls Original Joy Platform Clog
PRICE: $160
COLORS: dark brown, tan cow, honey, chalk
INSOLE/FOOTBED & OUTSOLE: Leather upper/textile lining/rubber sole
FIT: TTS
These wound up being my favorite pick. Leave it to a classic clog brand to make…a classic clog. I loved how comfortable these were and how they had a traditional clog look with the shape of the toe, the wood heel and the studs. They ticked all the boxes. That being said, they are a bit heavier than some other clogs, if that bothers you. I don’t power walk in clogs ever, so that isn’t an issue for me lol, but should be of note. This pretty honey color is new for this year, I had the dark brown last year and loved them. The update has no buckle on the upper which I much prefer to last year’s style. The fit and soles feel a little bit sturdier this year, too. Still a top pick after wearing them for a year!

2 | Cutest With Jeans: Korkease Gwendolyn Clog
Where To Buy: Nordstrom | Evereve | Zappos
PRICE: $160
COLORS: black, tan
INSOLE/FOOTBED & OUTSOLE: Leather upper/textile lining/rubber sole
FIT: True to size, size up if between
These, to me, aren’t as cute right out of the box with that top seam…but. Look how adorable they look with jeans and a whole outfit. I LOVE. They’re also the comfort you expect from Korkease, one of my long-time favorite shoes for any kind of heeled boot, platform or clog. One of my best friends bought the pair from last year and wore them ALL year and they’re still going strong. These are SO high quality for the price and are now giving what I thought were my favorites a run for their money. I might be keeping these instead of the Free People pair.
3 | Softest Leather + Best Shearling Lined: No. 6 Dakota Clog
Where To Buy: No. 6 Store
PRICE: $345
COLORS: maroon, olive, navy, black
INSOLE/FOOTBED & OUTSOLE: Sheepskin upper, wood base with polyurethane sole.
FIT: Ran a little bit small for me because of the lining. Size up if between euro sizes. They are soft so they will give with wear.
I’ve been a long time fan of No. 6 clog boots. They are some of the most beautifully made shoes I’ve owned and while I don’t currently have a pair in my closet because I now need a size up, I was reminded by trying these on why I love them so. The leather on the upper of this is incredibly soft. The lining is also like butter and feels amazing. The only reason I didn’t immediately keep these is because the heel is a little high for me (just a touch) and the overall profile of the shoe is a little smaller than what I wanted. But gosh, these are the most comfortable of all the pairs I tried, if you don’t mind a bit of a heel.
4 | Best Winter Clog: Sezane Taylor Clogs
WHERE TO BUY: Sezane
PRICE: $245
COLORS: Chocolate
INSOLE/FOOTBED & OUTSOLE: textile lining + leather insole, wood + rubber outsole
FIT: Run small. Size up if between or if you’ll want to wear socks.
So freaking comfortable. Beautifully made. Really soft lining that seems like it will last and not smush down a ton. I thought the profile looked overall too small on my foot though, but Shana owns and loves them (see below.) The leather and lining makes these perfect for winter, but obviously adorable and perfect for fall, too.
5 | Best For Weather + Wide Feet: Sorel Roam ‘N Clog
Where To Buy: Nordstrom | DSW | Sorel
PRICE: $160
COLORS: Black, Tan, Silver, Orange, Brown (above color sold out for 2026 boo)
INSOLE/FOOTBED & OUTSOLE: EVA foam footbed, leather upper, synthetic wrapped platform.
FIT: Ran a little small for me. I’m going up 1/2 size so I can have the option to wear socks.
I love these. They are more sporty since the heels aren’t actually wooden, but I don’t think I mind because of how comfy and cute they are. And they’ll hold up well in my rainy climate and they accommodate wider feet. Kat loves them, too.
6 | Biggest Splurge: Beek Woodpecker Shearling Clog
Where To Buy: Nordstrom | Beek
PRICE: $375
COLORS: black, saddle
INSOLE/FOOTBED & OUTSOLE: Memory foam cushioning, leather upper/genuine-shearling lining/wood + rubber sole
FIT: I sized up because of the lining, but didn’t need to. I’d say true to size.
So cute, comfy insole, so well-made. So cozy. A little too much of an incline for my foot compared to other pairs. It made my toes squished in the front and then they were too long at the back. These are gorgeous but didn’t work for me.
7 | Best Platform Clog: Free People Calli Clogs
WHERE TO BUY: Free People (lots of colors) | Zappos (tan on sale and mink)
PRICE: $228
COLORS: Taupe, cognac, black, blue, blush, butter, olive
INSOLE/FOOTBED & OUTSOLE: Leather, Rubber, Caixeta Wood
FIT: TTS
If you prefer a platform clog instead of a heeled clog where your foot sits at an angle, these. I just got them in and I love them. I think I might exchange this orangey tan suede for the taupe color, but otherwise they are great. (And all of the other colors are so freaking gorgeous, too.) I like how sturdy these feel to walk in. They will take a bit of break-in period, but for a substantial clog with wide leg and baggy jeans I think they’re my favorites.

INSOLE/FOOTBED & OUTSOLE: Nubuck upper, recycled poly lining, anti-odor sockliner, contoured EVA footbed, sugarcane EVA sole

Shana loves these. She bought them two springs ago while watching her kid surf on a freaking COLD day in April. They’ve been totally worth it – she’s traveled with these and says they’re surprisingly cute on.
9 | Best Year-round Flat Clog: Rothy’s The Casual Clog
WHERE TO BUY: Rothy’s | Zappos | Nordstrom
PRICE: $160
COLORS: 16 options
INSOLE/FOOTBED & OUTSOLE: Everdreamy footbed, washable (!), knit merino wool upper
FIT: TTS.
Amy has made one heck of a case for these clogs – she’s worn hers so much that she has WASHED THEM. Numerous times. While her exact color is super cute…there’s something about the black that feels fancy.
IMO, these look best on taller/slighter build folx (I’ve tried them myself and they make my feet look too short) But look at how cute these look on her:
Here I’m including a few of the pairs I tried but that didn’t make the cut for the best. Some pairs were too low heeled for what I wanted and some just didn’t have that classic clog look that I think is cutest with fall outfits.

Most clogs in this review run true to size (TTS). However:
– Sezane and Sorel may require sizing up, especially if you wear socks.
– Beek is TTS, but check the incline and foot shape.
Wooden-heeled clogs pair perfectly with:
– Wide leg or barrel-leg jeans
– Bermuda shorts with an oversized sweater or hoodie on top
– Cuffed straight leg jeans
– Cute socks you want to show off
– Midi skirts or dresses
– Chunky sweaters or structured blazers
– They’re ideal for layering and creating a cozy fall look.
As always, friends, I hope this try-on was helpful if you too are searching for some new clogs for this fall. They’re just such an easy slip on and go shoe with a little height and a lot of comfort. Good luck in finding your pair!
