It’s the most wonderful….ly stressful time of the year.

Especially if you’re a procrastination master like myself.  But it’s not to late to buy your Holiday gifts from the comfort of your couch and still receive them in time for Christmas morning and this year I decided to draw my holiday gift guides in my sketchbook. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them!

Illustrated Holiday Gift Guide

Gift Guide Details (Top Left to Bottom Right):

1. Jane Austen Classic Novels- featuring lovely cover art designed by graphic artist Leanne Shapton. As a huge book nerd, Jane Austen is one of my all time favorites and Shapton’s cover designs make it a classic worthy of displaying on your bookshelf,  sold by Anthropologie, $18.95 per book.

(And just FYI, there are three more days to buy online at Anthropologie in order to receive your gifts by Christmas Eve.)

2. Jardin des Plantes Teapot- Part of the Jardin Des Plantes Tea Set, designed by South African artist
Ruan Hoffman in collaboration with Anthropologie. The teapot is one of several bright and cheerful Jardin pieces sold exclusively at Anthropologie for $68.00.
3. Heather Benjamin Long Abalone Shell Pendant Necklace- I really love the horn accessory trend. There are a lot of unique variations out there. This one I specifically like because it’s hand carved horn is made from opalescent abalone and lightly hammered to give it a shimmering luster. This one, by Heather Benjamin is available at Nordstroms for $344.00.
(If you like this style but don’t want to spend over $300 for it, I found a similar option in the Lucky Brand Gold-Tone Stone Horn Pendant Necklace, which is currently 50% off at Macy’s for only $19.99)
4. Free People’s ‘Back Together’ Colorblock Over the Knee Socks- Boasting comfortability (no blood flow restricting waistbands), these Free People socks would be perfect for lounging around the house  in over the holidays. They are currently 15% off at Nordstroms for $20.40.
5. Lomography’s Diana Instant Camera- The mint colored version I sketched sold out online a few days ago but their black and light blue version is just one of dozens of retro inspired & high quality instant cameras by Lomography.  A throwback to the 80’s, when instant cameras were all the rage, this is a wonderful holiday gift option for the budding artist. Available at Uncommon Goods for $165.00.
6. Hand Jewelry Cloche- *Unfortunately, the Hamsa hand styled catch all bowl I sketched in my journal also just sold out at Urban Outfitters* But, I found this equally boho styled Hand Jewelry Cloche from Pottery Barn  and it comes in either brass or silver. Currently 25% off at Pottery Barn, $74.99.

(Second Page of Journal, Starting Top Left to Bottom Right)

  1. Jess! I LOVE this!! You look sooo good and this is such a neat idea! Did you know Naperville now has an Anthropologie downtown?

    • Hey Bonnie! Thanks-its a lot of fun 🙂 And my mom told me about the Anthropologie in downtown Naperville, I haven’t been inside yet though- I’m gonna check it out when I’m home at Christmas. I hope it’s just as magical as every other Anthro 🙂

  2. This is amazing stuff, thank you Jess. Is it still possible to find the silk scarf? I realize I’m finding this post a bit ‘after the fact’ but would love a hint or two of where to look for it?
