Holy heatwave, I think it’s safe to bring out the warm weather clothes now. The timing couldn’t be better because I’m working on posts for all my favorite summer wardrobe essentials. If I’m being honest, it’s probably more help for me because I’m in a legit purge/restock cycle as I start transitioning my closet and figuring out what I need. So, summer, here I come, and I’m bringing my TME bestie with me! First up is…wait for it…CHAMBRAY! It’s cool, classic, relaxed, and so pretty to wear…basically the goals of all my outfits, so it’s a perfect match. It plays to the sensibilities of denim lovers, but with the lightweight ease of linen. I mean, what more could a gal want? You could want it all in this Abercrombie & Fitch dress, that’s what.

Needless to say, my heart fluttered a bit for this dress. It’s incredibly soft, so you won’t even miss wearing the usual t-shirt dress. It’s the perfect length for pairing with wedges or casual sneakers, which means it’s ready for date nights AND playdates. The silhouette is also incredibly flattering; the waist has the slightest bit of tailoring so I don’t feel the need to cinch with a belt. The lace-up detail gives the dress plenty of interest and you can adjust the openness based on how saucy you’re feeling. And, the raw hem isn’t just for jeans anymore!  It’s such a nice touch on this dress.

Outfit Details

Chambray Dress– Abercrombie & Fitch – I’m wearing size M in this beauty (size 10 for reference). It’s soft and so lightweight.

Vans  – You can’t ever have enough casual sneakers and these are my new fave. I’m eyeing this solid pair of Vans, too!

Kate Spade Cat Eye Sunglasses (similar) – These are a few years old, but I’m pretty sure they’re the Jazzlyn style. It looks like Amazon is the only retailer that has black in stock, but the Genice and Nastasi are pretty close, too.

Michael Kors Runway Leather Wrap Watch– Amazon – This was gifted to me almost three years ago and it still looks great.

Straw clutch (similar) – Amazon Prime – I’ve had this clutch forever, and I love it for being casually fancy. It never goes out of style!

Necklace –  Etsy – My husband got me this clay pendant necklace for Mother’s Day with my children’s initials. If you haven’t already noticed, I wear it pretty much daily.  I love how timeless it is.

Earrings and bangle – Red Giraffe Designs – Etsy- I am not great at accessorizing with jewelry, but I’m working on it! I snagged these drop earrings and bangle from a local jewelry studio to build up my everyday jewelry look. I’m really happy with the pieces. They’re minimal and classic, but still have enough character that I don’t feel bare.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Jilted – I’ve been wearing this every day. I love how smooth and moisturizing it is.

Well, I have a busy month ahead, so you’ll probably see this look a few times if you’re following me on Instagram @beingtiarra . All the summer festivals are starting and we have a few family events, too. What’s on your summer agenda? I’m always looking for ideas for play dates and date nights, so let me know what you’re up to! Don’t forget to follow me on LiketoKnow.it, too, so you can instantly shop all my outfits from my TME  and social posts. It’s a one-stop shop…see you there!

  1. Am I the only one who avoids chambray because I sweat too much? Maybe I’m doing something wrong… You look good!

    • Holly, I tell everyone I sweat like a man twice my size, LOL. My photographer will tell you that I sweat really badly during these sessions (LOL, so stressful!), so I’m thinking chambray holds up pretty well. Maybe try a darker wash in a flowy fit if you’re curious, but cautious. Good luck!

  2. You look great, I love chambray! I like how you styled it, kind of took it to the next level with the clutch and crystal earrings. i am considering the jumpsuit, thanks!

    • You’re welcome, Lily! If you get it, tag me on IG when you wear it. I always love to see how it gets styled!
