Am I the only one crazy enough to check out what these influencers are coming up with in terms of design? Chriselle Lim from the Chriselle Factor, and Arielle Charnas from Something Navy now have their own eponymous clothing labels. And guess what? They are exclusively sold by Nordstrom. Earlier this year I ran to my closest Nordstrom to see Lim’s first collection for J.O.A. I documented it all here, and I’m still in love with that red striped jumpsuit — I even brought it with me to Cartagena. This time I didn’t run on the first day, but I did secure my favorite pieces in my size. I also placed an order for in-store pick-up so I could try it on, and at the same time, check the other pieces from the collection.

I was happy to see a more inclusive collection. Last time I had issues with the majority of tops being too cropped, mostly because of my saggy stomach. But guess what? My favorite piece this collection is a cropped sweater. Ha! This collection is also more wearable in different scenarios. Lim definitely concentrated a lot on women who work at an office, but even someone who works from home and lives a pretty casual life like me can find options for herself.

I’ll start with the most casual options that I could easily incorporate into my wardrobe as a work-from-home mom, and I’ll finish with full corporate looks. This collection actually made me dream of working at an office.

Let’s Start with the Tops

All these tops are perfect for the office, but also great to dress down and wear with jeans. They are very versatile and well-executed. I loved them all.

Chrisele Lim Madison Ruched Sweater – (wearing XS) I personally hadn’t seen a sweater like this one that I can remember. The drawstring detail to make it more cropped or not is amazing. I would definitely pull it up with those pants that fully cover my mommy tummy, but without I can just pull it down and wear with my high-rise jeans. It’s lightweight, and perfect for fall and then layered for winter. You’ll see it A LOT in this post styled in different ways. It comes in a gorgeous ivory color, too.

Chriselle Lim Erin Eyelash Sweater – (wearing XS) I love the back of this sweater. It’s soft, warm, and easily wearable with jeans, but also with skirts and trousers for work.

Chriselle Wren Satin Wrap top – (wearing XS) This is a gorgeous top. It’s not appropriate for the office, but it’s a great option for a date night, dressed down with jeans. It also comes in this blue floral that unfortunately wasn’t at my store. It’s the same floral you will see in the wrap dress in a few pictures below.

Chriselle Lim Cleo Button Detail Cardigan – (wearing XS) Available in magenta and cocoa. Thick warm cardigan. I personally love to wear short cardigans all buttoned up as a top.

SO I’ll make this statement…I think Lim should make her wrap dress a recurring piece in future collections. The minute I showed it on my Instagram stories, I got many messages saying how gorgeous it is. A wrap dress might not be new, but I truly love the twist she gives it. Last collection it was one of my favorite pieces. It was short sleeved and worked as a trench. However, it had some things that could be changed. This new version also works as both a dress and a trench coat, but those little details that didn’t work as great last time are fixed.

Last season’s dress had buttons, snaps and a belt, and even though they looked great, they limited the fit, especially for women with bigger breasts. This time the buttons and snaps are replaced by ties, and that makes the dress much more flattering and adjustable to different bodies. The fabric is also less heavy and falls beautifully. I’m obsessed with the two colors this dress comes in. Did I say it comes with pockets too?

Chriselle Lim Wrap Dress – Wearing XS in both. A true wrap dress that is incredibly flattering and versatile.

Chriselle Lim Sawyer Sweater Dress – Wearing XS. I really wanted to try the ivory one.

Chriselle Lim Lane Jumpsuit – (wearing XS) I initially thought it this was off-the-shoulder, and it can totally work like that for date night, an event, etc., BUT, it’s supposed to cover your shoulders — maybe for the office? Love it!

Check Out These Flattering Skirts & Pants

High-waisted trousers are one of Lim’s favorite pieces. I find them very flattering and TTS. There’s also a plaid asymmetric skirt that I love. See it all below!

Chriselle Lim Victoria Wide Leg Pants – Wearing XS. These pants are WARM! They are thick and soft and perfect for the colder months. The buttons on the sides look amazing. See, I’m able to wear it with the ivory cropped sweater and it looks very professional. Maybe with a bra that doesn’t have black trim though…

Chriselle Lim Lola Wide Leg Pants – (wearing XS) The color of these pants that go with the gorgeous wrap top is so beautiful. I love the whole set like this. Very elegant, professional and stylish.

Chriselle Lim Bianca Houndstooth skirt – (wearing XS) Houndstooth is just so in this season. The skirt is beautiful, and the asymmetric style makes it stand out. I found the fit a little odd though. The waist was perfect, but it was on tight on my hips. Maybe going a size up may help. But try two sizes if possible.

Top Off Your Look with Jackets & Coats

Lim knows a coat should be timeless and feel luxurious. I love the two coats in the collection. One is heavy for the colder months, while the other is a more lightweight trench. They may be a tad long on my 5’2″ frame though. Hope she starts including petite sizes in future collections…

Chriselle Lim Victoria Belted Coat – (wearing XS). I love camel coats. They go with anything and everything in my opinion.

Chriselle Lim Chloe Trench Coat – (wearing xs) Love the colors and the trench style. Love it paired with the cropped sweater in the same color. A little long on my petite frame.

Chriselle Lim Bianca Houndstooth blazer  – (wearing xs) This blazer came home with me. I found the fit perfect. I always have issues when blazers are oversized because they are huge on me. This one was not. Not too long either. Love the special detail of the magenta piping along the sleeve and pockets.

This was it! I hope you find something for you. The collection is extremely wearable and versatile, and the sizes are very TTS. I secured the cropped sweater and plaid blazer, and just ordered the wrap dress, because when you get a lot of messages on your Instagram (@theunbosom) saying you look amazing….you just go for it, right? haha.

All my admiration to this hard-working woman. If you don’t follow her, she’s due any time with her second child, and she was just launching this collection a few days ago. I also love supporting other women chasing their dreams.

Chao, chao. Julieta

Would love to see you on IG, so come and hit the follow button (@theunbosom). I love hiding my mommy tummy under anything high-waisted, and keeping it real. I believe social media shouldn’t be for the good things only.
