my gray sandals (size up)

Who doesn’t love a giant shoe round-up? I surely do. Options are what it’s all about and summer shoes are just seriously fun after our toes have been pent up in (rain) boots all winter.

All of us at TME have pitched in to the collection to make sure you know each of our favorite pairs for summer. Many of these are seriously loved by us as well as you lovely TME readers. Some are on-trend for 2017 and some are tried and tested standbys year to year.

Get those toes painted, sit back with a cold beverage and let’s talk sandals.

Black Sandals

Basic? Yes. Boring? Never. A black sandal is classic. Julieta loves this pair, Shana adores the pair above (comfort sandals that don’t look it are our jam) and I am obsessed with these slides. Want. Cam’s favorite also come in black and are some of her go-to’s all summer.

Neutral Sandals

Again, a closet staple is a sandal in a neutral tone. You’ve heard me preach to shorties that a skin tone is a must for anything that comes up on the ankle. Well, here are some great options for colors that go with everything and some that will flatter and not shorten the leg. Cam’s favorites are also neutral and they’re adorbs. Jess loves these Birks that are so flattering and cute.

Bright Sandals

So you’ll notice these are Scotti’s lovely sandals here…she rocks the amazing brights I mean gah. Gorg. Amanda also kills in these blue sandals…I think they were made for redheads. If you’re up for some fun and a pop of color to your wardrobe, check out the rest below.

Embellished Sandals

Embellished sandals are everywhere right now. These are Shana’s favs above. I love how they add just a bit of fun without being too busy. So pretty. But get it mama if you rock some of the even-more-embellished versions below. I want to see pics.

I’m usually such a boot girl, but there are some solid options this year that make this Pacific Northwesterner want to add to my collection. Have any tried-and-true favorites of yours for summer? Please share!

Happy Shoe Hunting…

  1. I have been loving my TOMS sandals- they are so comfortable and so much more cute than the slip-ons they are known for. I have the correa in black, but I’m digging the cream, chambray, and burlap.Link below:

I also have the Beatrix clog sandal and I love it! It has a wooden heel and the most comfortable footbed.

The Teva olawahu in black is what I wear around the house. Can’t beat the functionality of these sandals, though I don’t think they are very cute. ? Just my two cents on the subject. Great roundup, ladies! I’m loving the colorful sandals.

  2. I adore my brown straps sandals by Blowfish. Amazon has a ton of colors and styles…the multicolor leather strap/braided strap ones are never available in my size. Boooo.

  3. Could some sandals for running around in the yard that can get wet be suggested? In which might be accidentally worn out to public places (zoo). I struggle the most with functional clothes/shoes.

    • I’m really considering the rubber Birkenstocks for this reason. The price is just nice and they look on-trend right now, but can totally withstand water. Love that they are slip-on, too, for easy on-off coming inside and outside.

  4. I’m not usually into shoes, but daaaaang… those Sorel gladiators are awesome! I am a sucker for lug soles and comfort. To the chagrin of my disposable income, they have been purchased.

  5. Do any other readers have freakishly narrow feet? I have a hard time finding sandals that fit my long, narrow, “ski” feet. I’d love to hear suggestions.
