I Love My No.6 Clog Boots So Much I’m Searching For A Summer Version

You may have seen me rave about my shearling-lined No.6 clog boots all last winter. I didn’t want to put anything else on my feet, honestly. They go with everything, look rad, keep my feet warm AND they’ve held up beautifully. So obviously when I was searching for a new pair of summer clogs No.6 was the first brand I looked to.

No.6 Nails Clog Boots, So I Tried The Wedge Sandals

I included these two beautiful pairs of clog sandals in my recent post covering cool, not dowdy clogs. I knew I had to put both of these gorgeous pairs on my feet to try them out, so I figured why not share that process here. They are an investment for sure, so if you’ve also been eyeing up these gorgeous shoes, I figure having as much info as possible is definitely helpful in making that decision. If you’ve ever thought Swedish Hasbeens were too hard on your foot, might I suggest trying No.6? There’s just something they do to the sole and the footbed that is magical. Let’s check out the two styles…

The No.6 Abuela Wedge Clog Sandal

If you think wooden clogs are too hard on your foot, might I suggest trying No.6? There's just something they do to the sole + the footbed that is magical.

So, spoiler alert. I LOVE THESE. The Abuela Clog sandals have a super cute, slightly-retro vibe but are still classic enough to wear forever. They’re also incredibly flattering on. That wedge is leg-lengthening and makes them a little dressier than a flat sandal and gosh….I didn’t think they’d not stay on my feet well, but I was wrong. They’re perfect. They run just slightly small for Euro sizing. I wear a US 8 and the 39 fits me perfectly here, in both pairs.

I wore them around for a while the other day and they not only stay on but they’re superb to walk in. They take no breaking in on the upper. It’s soft on the foot, soft on the sole (there’s a super soft leather pad at the heel), adjustable with the buckle, and even comfy on my wider toe box/bunion area. Bonus…they hide that part of my feet I’m not always stoked to show poking out of sandals. No. 6 uses a lighter weight wood than some other brands so they’re much lighter than other clogs I’ve tried. I will refrain from writing a full-on ode to these clogs but I feel it in my heart. Haha.

The No.6 Frida Wedge Clogs

If you think wooden clogs are too hard on your foot, might I suggest trying No.6? There's just something they do to the sole + the footbed that is magical.

The Frida clog sandals are like butter on my feet. GOSH. So soft and comfy in the upper and with the same comfortable clog sole as the Abuela clogs. If I could afford to keep both I would, but I didn’t love the shape of this one on my foot as much as the Abuela pair.

The top row shows the No.6 clog styles I tried above. The bottom row shows some other styles from No.6 that are just adorable. Many of these are already low in sizes, so if you’ve been eyeing them up, I’d hop on ’em. Shopbop has easy ordering and free shipping/returns, as long as you return them within the 15-day window, so just be aware.

Have you tried a pair of No.6 sandals? These really will be a forever summer shoe I’ll wear the heck out of and treasure…not like the single-season pairs I’ve always tried to make work for multiple years in the past. These are one of those gorgeous investment pieces I’m finding myself looking for more often as I get older but also more experienced in building a beautiful, wearable, sustainable closet.
