Weekly Sales Report 4.24

Happy Friday!

As I write this, I’m trying out a Biossance face mask that just came in from the Sephora Sale…so far, so good. That sale is still going strong (and now open to everyone who signs up for their rewards program!) ’til 5/1. I may or may not have placed another order for tanning drops…I basically promised our TME Insiders Group some before & after IG Stories. So there goes nothing…

Denim Jackets, Comfy Pants & Sneakers: Editor Style Picks On Sale

In addition to the huge Sephora event, we’ve yet to see the sales waver — and lucky for us, *most* brands are pretty savvy to what we want these days. Comfy pants, pretty much…and bonus points for ANYTHING we can rock now & later. This ABLE denim jacket is a pretty safe bet…and 30% off. OR Stan Smiths because let’s be real — sneakers aren’t going anywhere (thank god).

Remember these sustainable green pants? Scotti covered them a while back and has been wearing them around the house. They’re super-soft and kind of feel like pjs, but look a bit more put-together. And — more importantly — Scotti says they’ve been helping her feel more put-together.

We’re taking all of the little mood boosts we can get right now…and sometimes a good quarantine #OOTD does just that.

Whether you’re still searching for your go-to outfit to #StayAtHome or you’d rather peruse the stuff you’ll wear whenever we safely get back out there, it’s all down below. Happy weekend.

The other day Zack and I managed to get into an argument about the best way to cook pork tenderloin. Not that I care THAT MUCH about the specifics of cooking pork, but we are basically at that point where we can get into an argument about ANYTHING. And, ultimately, they’re always about the same thing, really: he doesn’t like being told what to do and I like being in control. And to state the obvious: now is not the best time to feel the need to be in control. I’m the type of person who craves structure, plans, a schedule…basically everything that went out the door when we went into quarantine back on March 13 (Friday, the 13th!). I mean, we’re able to laugh at our dumb arguments when we take a step back and see how ridiculous they are, but in the moment…we will defend our pork-cooking opinions to the death. (It’s not about the pasta! — Vanderpump Rules people, you know what I mean.)  The ironic part is that the pork was super-overcooked, but both kids ate multiple servings of it and they normally complain about eating dinner on a daily basis. So I give up. I’m working on going with the flow a bit more and Zack is working on “taking suggestions” (ha!) from me, but, man is this hard. Thank God we like each other. And now on a completely new note, here are my favorite sales picks for this weekend:

Whew, friends. This stuff is definitely taking a toll right now. Physically, mentally, emotionally. I wanted to get out for a solo walk today and of course, now it’s pouring. Haha. Figures. I have beautiful flowers next to me, though, and the window open. Listening to the rain right now, and I’m just gonna do my best to take it easy for the rest of the day. I have learned this year that our bodies really process things so physically, even if our brains are unaware of it. Whew, again.

Wishing y’all some downtime this weekend and yet again, hopefully, some distraction with cute things on sale to look at. I’m loving that hoodie lounge set from J.Crew, as well as those sneakers and that over-dyed sweatshirt. Also, jumpsuits are on my mind right now. I just had a post come out where I rounded up a few cute ones. xo

Linzi’s Sale Picks

We just published our 2020 Spring Sneaker Guide and a TON of them are on sale. I don’t know about you guys, but on the days I put real shoes on, I totally feel like I’ve been somewhere and done something exciting (even though I haven’t!). These mind tricks are doing wonders for my mental health. Special shoutout to Adidas this week. You guys know we love them for their cute styles and strong sustainability strategy, but they also have donated $3 million to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (WHO) and are now donating additional $ from every purchase on their site to the fund as well. PLUS…they are offering 30% off site-wide, free shipping, and their selection of the TME beloved Stan Smiths and Superstars is enormous! On a different note, our family had such a fun afternoon yesterday completing a super-creative art project assigned by my 7-year-old’s fantastic art teacher — thank you to all the teachers out there providing us some much-needed sunshine.

Em’s Sale Picks

Another Friday, guys! I’m going to shake things up a bit and share the fact that we actually had a really manageable week. (We have to celebrate the little things, right?) I started off in a serious mood on Monday, but Tuesday was Lana’s 5th birthday, and all the little things we’ve been doing over the course of the week to make her feel special have totally brightened my mood, too. We made homemade rainbow pasta (Lana loves @SaltySeattle’s videos, so we finally winged it and attempted a version, ourselves — and it was surprisingly successful!) and I have to thank our local shops, Gulino Gelato and P. Cottontail, who both came through with last-minute birthday saves. Big thumbs up for supporting small biz and no-contact delivery!

My sales picks this week can only be described as a combo of tough and pretty, mostly because I did a deep dive into ALLSAINTS outlet page, which is currently offering an additional 20% off. SO MANY GOOD PIECES, friends. (This wrap…sweater? shrug? is SO cool — it’s not linked up below because it was being persnickety, but it’s worth a look, I promise.) And the white J.Crew shift dress I styled up 11 ways earlier this week is on sale, too. Oh, and let’s not forget my favorite T!! I could wax poetic, but instead I’ll just say that all colors, including white, are on sale right now for the lowest I’ve seen them. It’s a sales report miracle! Happy weekend, friends.

TGIF y’all! Let’s be real though, does anyone actually know what day it is?! This week has been full of ups and downs for me, but the sun is shining, I’m wearing my fav TGIF Soludos, and I am going to take the pups for a nice long walk today. I have found that even though so much has changed for me in the last few weeks, the one thing that continually brightens my day is the afternoon stroll I take with my dogs. I need the fresh air and the sun on my skin just as much as they do, and it’s a nice break away from staring at my computer screen all day.

There are tons of sales going on right now. 50% off at Madewell, sales on sales at Anthro, and some incredible sales finds from Nordstrom. I found so many amazing sales options at Nordy that I had to share them all! My FAV black two-piece swimsuit is on super-sale — both pieces are under $20!!! And I found a great leather bag under $50! I ordered my fair share of great finds today and I hope you all find some things that spark some joy and retail therapy that doesn’t break the bank. I hope you are all healthy and well. I’m sending lots of positive thoughts to you all for a sun-filled & relaxing weekend. XX – Kat

Team TME

  1. To put it simply, thank you all for these Weekly Sales Reports. There is something so grounding for me in them, each and every time. I loved them as a wonderful Friday ritual in regular life, but I look forward to, love and value them even more in quarantine life. Hearing the truth of how you all are doing, hearing your incredibly sweet and heartfelt wishes to all of us for our well-being and health — it’s such a force for good during such a painful and strange time. Laura, I agree with your comment about the body absorbing things and expressing them physically.
Wishing all of you a very well-deserved weekend. Big, heartfelt thanks for all of you incredible women and for all you do for us.

    • This was such an uplifting comment to read – thank you so much for taking the time!!! And I couldn’t agree more. I (obviously) rarely do the sales reports, but I read them without fail. I can’t believe how lucky we all are to have this community. xoxoxooxo
