3 Ways to Wear Moto Boots this Fall

So many of us have picked up a pair of Frye moto boots somewhere along the way, so I thought it might be fun to try three new ways to wear them this fall. (If you don’t have a pair yet, good news – this is the best sale price I’ve ever seen!) They’re just so dang comfy – I’ve worn them everywhere from a 10-hour day roaming a tradeshow floor to watching the racing pigs at our town fair. If you typically default to the usual sweater + jeans + moto boots formula too, let’s shake things up, shall we?

Frye Moto Boots for Work

LOFT Doubleweave Notched Blazer:  This has really become a work staple for me all year round- it also travels really well! Fit is amazing and the sleeves are lined in pinstripe satin so they look cool rolled/pushed up, too.

Equipment Bryce Oversized Cashmere Sweater: Unbelievably soft & cozy, really high quality cashmere you can dress up or down. Treat blush pink as a neutral! (Here’s a great fleece alternative)

LOFT Leggings in Heatherd Zip Pocket Ponte: I’ve gotten so much wear out of these since I got them last year, love that they come in regular, petite & tall sizes (I’m wearing petite). Perfectly stretchy and comfy all day.

Frye Veronica Short Boots: So comfortable, even for all-day wear.

Frye Moto Boots for Date Night

Madewell Washed Leather Moto Jacket:  Buttery soft and slouchy-cool. I’m wearing a Medium (the sleeves are super-long).

Karen Kane Metallic Peplum Top: On super sale! I love the peplum for creating more of a waist and floating over ‘gentle bellies’. Here’s a gorgeous peplum in silver velvet from J.Crew – holiday outfit maker, yes?

Joe’s Jeans Skinny Ankle in Washed Black (similar):  Joe’s Jeans fit so well and have the perfect amount of stretch. This washed black pair goes with pretty much everything.

Frye Veronica Short Boots: So comfortable, even for all-day wear.

Frye Moto Boots for Play

Sweatshirt Dress (similar): So comfy and easy to throw on for the playground, preschool dropoff, city exploring, pretty much anything. Just add leggings when it (ever?) gets colder. Here’s a version with cute shirt sleeves and one with a pretty lace hem and an amazingly cute burgundy dress.

Frye Veronica Short Boots: So comfortable, even for all-day wear.

  1. Great post! Also, I love that you just casually worked in the part about “watching racing pigs” as an average everyday thing to do.?

  2. I love this! I splurged on a pair of Frye Veronicas last year, and was so sad when I got painful blisters the first time I wore them. They’ve been sitting in my closet ever since. I’m not used to having to “break in” shoes/boots — any tips? Anyone else with this experience?

  3. Love them also, and am also.new to Frye. From what I’ve read, don’t give up!! Use bandages on your blisters or heavy socks. Wear for a short time every day at first. Also, a shoemaker can stretch for only about 10 bucks. They will stretch on their own though in time. Good luck!!
