There are so many things you think you need when you have a baby. I know I was completely overwhelmed with questions when I was pregnant with Greenlea. Do I need a changing table? A swing? A bassinet? A crib? A bouncer? All of the above? (And just where are all of these things supposed to go in a small house?) I ended up getting a ton of things we never actually used. So with Ozzie, we simplified things. We donated the stuff we never used with Greenlea and only held on to the things we loved. And whenever possible, we stuck to products that could be used in multiple ways.
Our favorite? The 4moms breeze plus playard. It’s a bassinet, changing table and playard all in one. It’s (honestly!) easy to open and close . . . you can literally do it one-handed. It’s not obnoxiously bright or colorful, and blends in better than most baby gear. The sheets are super soft and Ozzie loves hanging out on them. I love that I can quickly change him or put him down without worrying about walking away if I have to. I can set him in the playard and I don’t have to worry about our dog stepping on him or his sister messing with him. (She LOVES her brother . . . and loves to pinch him and poke him and squeeze him a little too much.)
4moms Breeze Plus Playard
Ozzie’s in the bassinet with the sheet on the right, the diaper changing pad is on the left.
To remove the top bassinet layer, pull the fabric off the sides . . .
. . . and remove the latches.
The bottom padding folds up to reveal the lever underneath.
Just pull the lever up to close the playard.
You can get my breeze plus playard here (c/o) along with the optional (super-soft) sheet for the bassinet and/or sheet for the playard. There’s also a diaper storage caddy available that connects right to the side for easy access to all the diaper change essentials.
I can’t get enough of that cute little face!!
XOXO,
Scotti
So helpful! I’m a first time Mom due in February and love your posts about maternity/nursing friendly clothes and baby gear. More please 🙂
Hi, can you use this as an option for overnight sleeping for a newborn? Also can a dockatot fit on the bassinet or would that make it too tight?
