I’m trying to ditch the powders for my summer makeup routine. Powders can accentuate dry skin and highlight wrinkles, and as I get older I’m only getting more of those.
Powder foundations, blush, bronzers…they all have a tendency to settle into fine lines and make them look even more pronounced. And although creams and liquids can also settle into lines, they’re super-easy to fix on the go: just dabbing a finger over them helps to blend out any makeup that’s settled into any wrinkles.
Summer Makeup Tutorial: Look Younger & Cover Wrinkles
Unfortunately, there are no formulas that are 100% crease-proof if you have any wrinkles in your skin. Our best option as we get older is to opt for lighter formulas that are easier to blend (in gel, cream and liquid form), applied with a lighter hand.
The best part of this routine is the fact that so many of the products I’m using have SPF in them — from the Supergoop! primer (SPF 40) to the IT Cosmetics CC Cream (SPF 50) to even my concealer (SPF 27). These are my go-to products for summer. Protection from the sun is the number one thing we can do to prevent more lines and wrinkles.
So this is my current, easy, everyday summer makeup look featuring only creams and liquids — NO powder! This routine can work for anyone, but it’s especially helpful for those of us with aging skin! You can find my complete routine + links to all products over on my latest Youtube video.
XOXO,

That ring is to die for! Where is it from?
Would be wonderful if you could explore “clean” makeup products.
Can you list out the products you used? I know they pop up on the video – but that involves me taking notes😀
