I remember once meeting a couple of brand representatives for ELEMIS skincare and being obsessed with how good their skin looked. My husband and I later walked by them and I waved, telling Zack to “look at their skin! Look at their skin!” out of the corner of my mouth like a madwoman. (It was really good skin, you guys.)
And guess what? I lost that list and completely forgot about trying that cream. Until recently, when they asked us to try some of their best-selling products including that Pro-Collagen Marine Cream! I couldn’t volunteer fast enough…and that cream? Really is everything I thought it would be…and so are the other products I tried. ELEMIS said that this award-winning anti-aging cream is giving people the confidence to go makeup-free, so I decided to try just that. I went makeup-free (aside from lashes and brows–let’s not get crazy here) wearing just this cream and the equally-amazing eye mask below. And guess what? I LOVED it. I’ve literally never felt better in just my own skin. For someone who’s used to wearing foundation pretty much every day, this is a really big deal.
This cream is insanely moisturizing but ultra-light, so it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on your skin. It doesn’t leave you looking shiny or oily like you skipped the powder. It increases hydration by up to 248% in 1 hour (whaaaa?) and is clinically proven to reduce the look of fine lines, the depth of wrinkles, and to improve skin firmness and hydration in two weeks. So this product is amazing — it totally blew me away. It’s a hydrating serum-infused cream that can be used overnight as an eye mask, under eye makeup as a hydrating eye cream, or over makeup during the day when you need a little pick-me-up around the eyes (and don’t we all!?). It’s a super-light formula that feels cool and soothing when you apply it, and it noticeably reduces puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. I always have darker pigmentation under my eyes and this stuff made such a difference. A little goes a long way (as in smaller than a pea-size amount), and the container is so much bigger than your typical eye cream so you get a lot of product for your money. You will love this stuff.

I made the mistake of having Zack try this right along with me and now he wants to steal it. He kept commenting on how much better his skin looked, both right after he applied it and the morning after. I 100% agreed with him (on his skin and mine) so I’ll be needing to hide this one away. 😂 When they say it dramatically improves the look of fine lines and wrinkles for a youthful, radiant appearance in the morning, they aren’t kidding. It’s not like I woke up to 20-year-old skin, but I woke up to a noticeable difference–after just one night. The smallest amount went such a long way, too. Ok, so I love the Colleen Rothschild cleansing balm…. how does this cleansing balm compare?
Similar to the other commenter, how would you compare this to the Colleen Rothschild or biossance products? I’m in the market for new skincare but there are so many choices and all are really spendy so I get super confused 😐

Same question here – I’m a big fan of Colleen Rothschild products thanks to this blog….but how does Elemis compare? This is the trouble with sponsored posts (which seems to the the majority of posts on TME these days) – there is always pressure to highlight a million different products to keep revenue flowing, but it makes it confusing for us readers and unrealistic too in terms of spend and which products to try! Probably also why some of the review reads like it’s hearsay or from third party reviews (i.e. “People love the fact that it deeply cleanses and hydrates at the same time so your skin is left feeling soft and soothed”) rather than a personal perspective on use. Please remember TME That we (your faithful readers) are not influencers who can receive and try out a bunch of different products for free – so details around use and how one product compares to another are super important! Also transparency around how many products you use in your skincare routine (8 because you received free samples to try out or 3 because those are the tried and true products with benefits that you are paying for yourself over and over again?) If you weren’t an influencer/blogger and had a limited budget, which product would you buy? Elemis or Colleen Rothschild or Biossance??
